sleep sex excuse! what a nonsensical proposition. what psychophysiological evidence do the authors of "sleep sex" have to support this dangerous behaviour?

Psychophysiological (???) evidence??? WHAT are you talking about?? If you have ever slept beside someone who suffers from this condition- you wouldnt be asking for evidence!!!! It's not DANGEROUS per say.... It may get you into some trouble if u happen to be laying next to someone new.. but it is definitly NOT and EXCUSE! It is a REAL condition that REAL people suffer from and should be considered not dangerous, but innocent human behaviour that occurs at a time when conscious judgements cannot be made. But these people would not act any rougher than usual sexual activity and CAN be woken up before, during, or after. 'Sexsomnia' would not make a man/woman forcefully "rape" someone, but rather instinctfully preform normal sexual acts without consciously making the descision to.

My husband suffers from this condition almost nightly. I have no problem with the situation because i UNDERSTAND and have researched the subject and I SUPPORT him. He has NEVER harmed me because of this condition and nor do i think he ever would.

I hope this satisfies your concern.

My boyfriend in college experienced "sleep-sex." I remember one morning, he woke me up to have sex without the usual foreplay, but I didn't realize that he was asleep until he started mumbling something about the fact that we were going to miss our boat - something that was happening in his dream!
