I have started a treadmill workout where I use the timing of my steps to keep my focus on a mantra I say over and over in my head. Sometimes it's... I am on the road to thin, I am, I am... and I won't quit until I win.. I am I am I am I am. Over and over... Somethines it's Christina Agulara's "You are beautiful, in everything you do... words can't put you down" ... it can be anything but the thing I find most interesting is... I sometimes close my eyes to repeat these and I hold on to the handles which will read your heart rate and when I open my eyes... the reading is 180, sometimes 190, I have even had it reach 220 and more. As soon as I am focused on the numbers they decline rapidly. I don't understand this and I even asked my husband to look and we are both puzzled by this. Does this have anything to do with the energy that I am emitting when meditating like this, I have this happen every time I get on my treadmill now and start my mantra and not look at the digital readout of my pulse rate. Also, I so enjoy the walk now I walk for 1 hr twice a day, because... I am on the road to thin I am, I am.
