RENT: 'The Night Listener' Robin Williams is terrific as a radio talk-show host who tries to reach out to one of his fans. Don't expect any laughs, just nail-biting suspense.

HEAR: 'The Russian Album' by sexy soprano Anna Netrebko ($16.98). The Russian diva departs from her Italian repertoire to present arias from works such as Prokofiev's "War and Peace" and Tchaikovsky's "Iolanta." Think of her as the Anna Kournikova of classical music—only with talent.

BUY: Comfy's Easy PC Learning System ($63.99; target.com). Babies love to bang on keyboards. Now they can have one of their own. The Easy PC plugs into your computer and comes with an interactive DVD for kids 1 to 5.

READ: 'House of Meetings' by Martin Amis ($23). This deeply moving novel tells the story of two brothers interned at a Soviet slave-labor camp under Stalin.

SURF: sierraclub.org for its "Pick Your Poison: An Environmentalist's Guide to Gasoline." The report ranks oil companies according to green standards. The result: fill up virtually guilt-free at BP.
