If they were wearing their cheeleading uniforms they are representing the school and should be punished for their lewd behavior. Too much stuff gets dismissed as "rites of passages" and as a result we have alarming drug and alcohol abuse rates among teens. People who are not interested in parenting should keep their legs closed.

Mind-boggling. Truly mind-boggling. Students who are disrespectful to teachers in class should be removed. The principal MUST be on board with the teachers....and it sounds like this principal was not.

As for what the girls did during off-school hours, that should be between themselves and their parents, and in the case of underage drinking with undeniable evidence, that's between themselves and the law of the state, which is supposed to be applied evenly (you know the whole justice-is-blind thing). I do not believe enrollment in public schools come with a morality clause, so that a child can be punished for out-of-school behaviours.

I do believe the principle deserved to lose her job, because she wasn't DOING her job. You don't keep jobs if you're not DOING them. If she had a conflict of interest, well.....it wasn't like she wasnt' aware she had a daughter in the school, and would have to deal with her presence there. Perhaps the daughter should have been sent to a different school, or the principal request a transfer or something.
