In Richard Wolfe's article of July 7-14 Newsweek it states that Barack Obama was baptized - when that occur?

I understand that Palin Husband is a stay at home father.Well what kind of messages is she sending out to our teens, young adult, and older adults,that it ok for a able body man to stay at home and take care the house and kids while the women suppose to get out and work? Is she telling our teens that its ok to have sex and get pregant as long as you planned to get marry? Before Palin came into the picture all you could hear was Obama didn't have enough exprience to be in the White House, Now since Palin came along now you hear Obama doesn't have enough executive exprience. It bothers me a great deal, that instead of reporting political news, Newsweek chooses to make it. You are so in the TANK for Obama, that it turns my stomach. I am a liberal Democrat and always have been, but your reportang on this campaign is a joke. You seem to do your best to slam Hillary Clinton at every opportunity. I find this appalling. Just wait until "your man" gets to the White House. He will stumble and bumble. He does not know Washington, he's naive and thin skinned. Just count the number of press conferences he will have. In 4 years you'll be lucky to see 6. He does not like to be put on the spot or questioned. Just wait and you will get what you deserve, It will be sad for our country.

I am an avid reader of Newsweek and I always have regarded your magasin as a serious and ethical one. I am writting to you to express the outrage that I felt when I read the last page of the european issue of april the 14th. Among the academic advertisings, I found one from an agency that promotes marriage and intro service wherein men can meet beatiful, educated caucasian women 10 to 30 years younger!!!!!! Not only is a racist add, it is one promotting HUMAN TRAFFICKING!!!! I hope that in the future you scrutinize your adds in a more responsible and ethical way!

What you and all the others don't get about Obama is he really promises to change the way we solve our problems. The results, like in EVERY other politician and Presidents' case, will be changed by the process of bringing about the change. Sometimes/Most Times nothing is changed, sometimes it's lukewarm change, sometimes it's serious change. We who support Obama, believe he will inspire people to work to deliver something even better than campaign promises on Soc Security, etc. We believe that the way he will approach the problem and the process of resolving it will be fundamentally different and, if not, if Congress continues to obstruct results, we will turn them out, too, until we get people who are ready to resolve problems and not be happy with their partisan victories accomplsihing nothing. This is what I see in Obama; it's obvious you have not seen the change we are speaking about AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, ACTING ON, out here in the real world!! I am a 50 yr old /White International Business man running around knocking on doors for Obama, something I have never even considered in participating in 64 election seasons!!!

I recently read a story in your jan.21,2008 issue about a man who has severe aplastic anemia. My mother is also diagnosed with the same thing. I just wanted him to know that he is not an orphan; but just in a very exclusive club. My mother gets iron shots and blood transfusions to help her live. It upsets me every time I read in the news about another suicide bomber murdering and wounding others. It ourages me that we still call them "suicide bombers'. Why? Why is it that we allow ourselves to draw attention away from the brutality they inflicted on others, taking away from loss of others? Instead, we focus on te suicide causing for many remorse. Why is it that a person who has no respect for life, no even their own, receives more sympathy in a title than someone as Chalres Manson, or Jack the Ripper. I feel that if we began calling them waht the are, homicide bombers, than the world's attitude would rapidly change and people would wake up to the horrors they create.

The War on Drugs causes more pain, suffering and death in a month than the Iraq War does in a year. Why does Newsweek give this policy so little coverage?

This weeks cover says it all Obama we are ready for a changer!! If a Democrat gets into the White House there will be plenty of changes---More taxes--that's a change! Retreat from Iraq--That's a change too- National healthcae (another entitlement) That's a change too--open borders that's a---oops that won't change. Too bad all thest proiposed changes will lead to mthe ultimate Democratic utopia Socialism!!!

Apparently, instead of real news and comments on the news, Newsweek management wants a spin-miester, known for prevarication. Hasn???t he done enough damage to our American tradition of truth and justice and democracy?

Granted that this man has been close to deluded power and has dodged every criminal prosecution there is so far, does he deserve to be head of a presidential library and a columnist of a reputable magazine so he can continue his falsehoods? Does Newsweek desire to gain more subscriptions from curious readers or delusional ones?

It may be a sign of the times that the public looks to reality in fear and worry. Do we, therefore, need someone to paint a different picture so we can all escape in our delusional minds?

Karl Rove, the political hack, has gained his brilliant reputation and his high positions by painting false realities. His device lies in his schemes and distortions, in twisted facts weaved into falsehoods, in his unblinking and unnerving, never erroneous conviction. He learned well the lessons of history that to the victor are the spoils and the writer of history.

We had a collective sigh of relief when he resigned from his White House job. His false reality will no longer be perpetuated in a grand scale. The American public cannot stand more of Rove spun factoids. Sure, he can be head of a so called presidential library which will predictably, house the lies of an administration into perpetuity but to allow him to hang his trade sign on the venerable post of Newsweek is repugnant to journalists and citizens alike. A disreputable man in your employ will not make an honest paper. It is a matter of glorifying and rewarding falsehood and hating truth.
