These people are pretentious morons in this clip. Watch the show. I have never met someone who didn't like the show once they watched the first season. It won an Emmy for Best Drama. The only people who do not like the show are those who are too lazy to discover why Lost is the best product to come from network TV in history. Or those who want to demonstrate their elitism by showing how resistent to mainstream, pop-appeal tetevision they are. The themes dealth with in the series are those of redemption, faith (and loss thereof), and grayness that exists between good and evil deeds in the world.

You folks act as if you even know what capitalism is. You do NOT. You have never experienced true, free market capitalism in this country. I suggest you read "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx. We have pretty much satiated the 10 pillars requred for Communism.

Corporations DO NOT EXIST in a true, capitalistic society. In a free market, capitalist society, you have no government interference (which is necessary for corporations to exist), and everybody is on equal footing. No income tax to hinder your savings and investment capital (which in itself is covert SLAVERY, you are working for the "man" 50% of your life if you add up all state and federal taxes).

In a true, free market society, money has REAL value and cannot be printed out of thin air by international bankers that monopolize the money supply with monopoly money! The money supply would never inflate, prices would only go down since competition flourishes in a free market society. Larger businesses would always be at a disadvantage to the smaller business because there are no regulations, meaning smaller businesses have very little overhead, and can deliver good more efficiently and with more quality.

Felicha, you talk about reading books. Most books are garbage, written by those who want you to know history as they deem fit. You need to research Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard--great non-Keynesian (aka communism) economists that understand free markets and capitalism.

I do not beleive we are safe in this country with a President that did not even put his hand on Lincolns Bible. I am tired of African Americans saying we owe them apologies for things that happened hundres of years ago that none of the present people had a thing to do with. I beleive we are not safe now and there will be horrible things happen in this country under this president whom i beleive by his sligh overtures in his speach. He has a hidden agenda. I beleive the African Americans want the USA to be a new Africa. I beleive there will be horrible crimes in this country and war within. What better way to destroy a country than to cause such disturbances within that the country destroys itself? I do not beleive Obamas interest is for all Americans but for only African Americans. Stand somewhere in public and listen to what the people are really saying. It is so disturbing.

President Obama owes us no apology. I do not agree with 100% of his decisions but he has brought hope, respect and intelligence back to America. I am not naive enough to expect for the right to cut him slack, due to the overwhelming tasks he inherited from the administration.
I want the president to insist on reform for banks and big business.
I want him to stimulate the economy by giving a stimulus to tax payers, not banks or Wall Street.
He could increase financial aid for college students and for that matter, any education. We need to start at preschool, to enhance every child's basic knowledge and give them the building blocks, to increase their chances for education. Why do school systems have to beg citizens for monies to run the an educational system?
Our priorities are wrong. Taxes should go to education, infrastructure, research, things so much more important then war and elections. What a waste of humanity and financial resources.
President Obama has done very well. I would like him to deliver on his promise for "real change." Our citizens need to be supported and stabilized. Jobs, education, medical care, are tantamount, for Americans to succeed.

Substance, please. Don't equate vast tragic events with Rick Rolling. A big part of journalism is knowing what's important and what's trivial and in that respect, this kind of retrospective misses the point wholly. I know it required a lot of time to put this together, but it comes off as random and uncoordinated fluff. Newsweek, please realize there are readers and viewers who haven't given up on substance..
