The American People are against this bailout. The USA Today poll is a fraud. I do not believe 80% of Americans want to be robbed. This is the Government trying to ram this down our throats. We did not get ourselves into this is was the Liberal Democrats, i.e. Dodd and Barney Frank and the Democrats that continually stopped anyone trying to get regulation of Fannie and Freddie.
Democrats. No Bailout. Dodd and Frank are crooks and should go to jail

Yeah it's Rovian...WHAT A SIMPLE MINDED IDIOT YOU HAVE TO BE TO BELIEVE THAT! Let's see between greedy investment bankers, Democrats and Republicans intent on business as usual (congress), poor Fiscal policy (Yes Bush is to blame for that!), subprime loans thank-you Bill Clinton administration, and people buying houses who have no business buying homes things are going to be pretty messed up for a while...unless of course we do like our grandparnents did and put welfare and social security off on our childrens' & grandchildern's generation. Think about the right thing to do. If you want to blame someone look in the mirror. People don't pay attention until its too late and act like how could this happen? I'm not sure why I bother even saying anything as it is, since it will probably just get pushed off on our kids generation to deal with while we buy homes from the gov't and pay higher taxes. Maybe USSR never died...We can become the USSA!

The USA Today poll stating that 80% of Americans are for the Bailout is a total scam. The American people do not want this. The Liberal Democrats caused this fiasco and now everyone is trying to ram this down out throats. No Bailout for Wall Street Greed and No Bailout for the people that caused Fannie and Freddie to fail. That jwould be Dodd and Barney Frank, they are a bunch of crooks

Instead of providing the Birth Certificate, Obama vows to dismiss the lawsuit.

Barrack Obama files a motion to dismiss against Berg

Why not send someone in there with the birth certificate and it???s over?

    http://www.flds.ws/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/obama-motion-to-dismiss.pdf

DEFENDANT DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEES AND DEFENDANT SENATOR BARACK OBAMA???S MOTION TO DISMISS Pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(b)(1) and 12(b)(6), defendants Democratic National Committee and Senator Barack Obama respectfully move the Court for an order dismissing the Complaint on the grounds that this Court lacks subject-matter jurisdiction over the claim asserted and that the Complaint fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. Pursuant to Local Rule 7.1, accompanying this Motion is a Brief in Support of Motion to Dismiss and a proposed Order.

The Motion has not been Granted by the Court (at this time).

Faced with the lawsuit, the Obama camp had 2 options:

    1. Produce the required documentation proving that Obama is a ???natural born??? citizen, and that his citizenship was never relinquished and/or was re-established after he had moved with his mother to Indonesia. Doing so would put this issue to rest in Pennsylvania, plus all of the other states and jurisdictions where this is being monitored; or ???

    2. File motions, obfuscate, advance obscure legal theories, push for dismissal, etc.

APPARENTLY OBAMA IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT

John McCain 2005 on the Floor of the US Senate
I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

Barney Frank and Dems BLOCKED. Sad and true. Now WE ALL will PAY.

You make such a compelling case for lawful abortion.

Smart, regulatory policies are an unfortunate necessity (and can boost confidence) when human beings have unlimited wants and organized GREED will always seek to be unbridled. History teaches this when you analyze any large market system with many competing interests.

As a public high school teacher, the current state of our public institutions reflect our values as a society, from my point of view. I ask Newsweek readers to PLEASE consider the following comparison of our institutions: our pubic schools and our private financial "powerhouses" that are now being bailed out with our taxpayer dollars.

We are bailing out these failing institutions with taxpayer dollars while the state of our public school system continues to decline. Think about this, voters PLEASE! Not just for the sake of your own personal interests, but for the sake of our country.

Good teachers are being laid off and class sizes are growing. No child left behind is a law that requires improvements without funding to implement these improvements. Schools are listed as "failing schools" (terrible for morale) because of unrealistic goals/unfunded mandates funded by politicians seeking to score political points. What is often "left behind" in our public schools is often a stressed out skeleton staff that does not have the ability to properly educate our students.

Meanwhile, these corporate lobbyists that effectively secured deregulation and what they consider "optimal" conditions for success (deregulation). And a few well-connected people have lined their pockets with enormous amounts of other peoples' money.

John McCain has a record of being a major player and advocate of deregulation and has taken money TIME AFTER TIME from the deregulation lobbyists - the very same "fat cats" he's now criticizing! NOW McCain is calling for change, when his deregulation in part has created this mess?

This sort of short-term gain at the expense of long-term growth way of thinking has infected our entire way of running our society.

Unfortunately, young people (the MAJORITY) of our future do not have the money or the resources to hire corporate lobbyists. Their teachers and their schools have limited resources. And there are little organized efforts to reform and progress/ lead our public schools into the 21st century. In every other developed and developing country we compare our students' progress with, there are sustained efforts to improve, fund, and prioritize education.

In America, we are starving our schools while bailing out reckless fat cats who've thrived on greed. Is this the American Way? Or have we lost our way?

Let this difficult period be a lesson. We all want healthy money markets and retirements. We must see the connection between healthy public schools and a healthy economy that is investing in human capital. Hopefully (as we say in class) we will learn from all of this and use it to improve, grow, and succeed.

The budget-busting bill is being rammed through at warp speed, to give the Democrats ownership of the failures, and to clip at the outset any hope for agressive action to undo the Newt/Bush destruction of the Public Sector. This whole thing is a fertile garden for the Rovian stuff. A trojan horse.

Sarah Palin was supposed to be 7 months pregnant in this interview -- http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1691 . The host even brought up the fact Sarah had 4 children and Sarah did not even hint at being 7 months and about to have a baby. Her special needs baby was born around 21 April 2008.
The Alaska governor Sarah Palin talks about the challenges of raising a family while in office at a NEWSWEEK forum on Women in Leadership in March.

I really don't care at all about her family. It is her manifest unfitness for office.
This line of stuff would be better explored with facts by Alaskan voters, after the Presidential race were over.
They are going to be the ones stuck with her.

My revulsion about Obama's lipstick comment, and the cheering approval of his supporters, isn't phony at all. What passive aggressive baloney on Obama's part.

This is a man who rejected Hillary Clinton for the ticket because he is afraid he can't handle Hillary and Bill (how will he handle Putin?), stood by and said nothing while she was viciously ridiculed and disparaged by her own party, and now calls his vice presidential opponent a pig, a pejorative term used against women.

The White House is no place for a man who has such contempt for, and fear of, women. NoBama. Go McCain/Palin!

Oh, and you know for yourself why Obama chose his running mate? I guess a higher-power clued you in?

A Republican play on sexism is funny. If you think there is that much bigotry and hatred to appeal to, you are sicker than we see here.
Is that how desperate the GOP has become? I knew you were principal-free and ethics-aviodant, but have you really all lost connection with whatever grey-goo is left in your little empty brains?

  • Posted By: Donna1000 @ 09/10/2008 2:01:36 PM

BTW, Obama is really desperate when he has to call Biden's opponent a "pig" to get some attention for himself.

It must be nice to be a paid Republican Blog Troll. The problem here is that you just shot that liars arrow into nowhere.
Off-topic, off on the issues, off in your own little sick and twisted world.
Palin is a witch hunting religious bigot.
McCain is a complete loser. (He suspended his campaign to drive off and campaign again and again.)
Palin can't answer any questions because she is ignorant.

Are people really foolish enough to buy Hillary???s supposed support of the Obama/Biden ticket? I???m sure that Hillary and her supporters are already thinking about the 2012 campaign and that will not happen if Obama is elected. However, knowing how the Dems bury their dead, if he looses she will be a shoe-in for the 2012 Democratic nomination. Her support is obviously just for show???but is anyone really buying it?
