-- simply the fact that this war is smaller than others, and that the soldiers volunteered to be soldiers, is not a reason, nor justification for our presence in iraq. we messed up,.... it's very clear that officials under bush at crucial turning points, acted with arrogant pride, ignorance, and lack of fore-thought. it's time to at the very least, admit the mistakes,....all of them, and drastically minimize our occupation in iraq. i personally have never cared if people hated me...... but when the whole world hates your country, especially it's leader.....bad things will happen on exponential levels. hell, i can't even play XboxLive with a european without them talkin crap about the U.S.,....and as ignorant as it is for them to blanket our whole population with the decisions of a few, there is truth in what they are ignorantly trying to get at.... maybe MartinC should get a few clues himself....

Iraq: 1 American per day killed. Viet Nam 30 Americans a day killed. Sad for the one American in Iraq per day....but QUIT comparing this to any other war we have ever had. The US has 17,000 people murdered every year. Look it up. And each of these soldiers volunteered. Just like cops and firefighters. Get a clue....

A portion of this nation has clearly lost its mind. Obama does not know anything about foreign affairs. Nothing. Wake up America. Obama is a scam artist who has no business being where he is. Give us a black President, no problem, but NOT this man. Here is the reality: Obama had a "close, personal, 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright......who is close friends with one of America's BIGGEST racists, Louis "I hate Jews and White Devils" Farakhan. This is the conversation at the water coolers of the nation, folks. Most Jews and Hillary fans will NOT vote for Obama and the polls are showing it.
The Obama Fever is wearing thin. Gallop now shows a 6 point lead. Remember, John Kerry had a 6 point lead over George Bush in 2004.....and he lost in November. Same with Dukakis and Bush 1 in 1988....a double digit lead in July. And he got smoked in November.
This is the SAME nation that re-elected an unpopular President Bush during an unpopular war just 3 1/2 years ago. Translation? Watch it unfold and watch the accusations of racial bias when Obama loses. So predictable.- McCain will win in November.

McCain wants to keep us in Iraq because the corporations (Haliburton, KBR, Blackwater and Big Oil) depend on him keeping us and them there. They're making a killing in Iraq - and of course they don't want to leave.!

not cute, helarious. embarrasing to watch....

Sorry to disagree, aad135, but this is exactly how our politicians make the American Citizens look foolish. They spend big dollars which could be used more effectively feeding our people, they lie and spin and accuse and abuse. Maybe some of you "old white men" clubbers need to rething today's issues, missions and lifestyles. This video is the greatest!! If you're offended, don't watch!

Sorry to disagree, aad135!! This is exactly how foolish the American Citizens are made to look by our politicians. If people cast a vote based on silliness, then this is what you get.

What a well-spoken young woman. However, listening to her, I think I finally made the decision to not classify myself as a Catholic.

At 24, I am no longer willing to fit into a mold that the Church wants its congregation to conform to. It's scary to picture voting solely based on my religious views, based on rules rather than an overall love for humanity. I am a voter, who was raised Catholic, and happens to think for herself without adding an adjective next to my name.

    • Posted By: aure19 @ 07/15/2008 6:39:44 PM

it's not only religious, it's based on commonsense and knowing the possible president's background life. if u don't know what's really going on, then how are u going to vote?

The issue flip-flopping and shifting to the middle will pale in comparison to Obama's connections. Around most of America, east coast, west coast and midwest....Obama is being viewed as a phony....the most extreme left wing candidate we have ever had to this point....but with a nice smile.
Obama's "close 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright is being discussed at the water cooler by Americans every day more and more. And that reverand's "close relationship" with one of America's biggest racists, Louis Farrakhan, who was given a lifetime achievement award by Obama's church. (hello?). Birds of a Feather, folks.. Most of America is starting to figure it out. Especially Hillary fans and Jewish voters.
Remember, this is the same nation that re-elected a very unpopular George Bush only 3 1/2 years ago during an unpopular war. Also remember that Kerry led Bush 51%-44% in July....and he lost. And now....at only 46%-44%....the Obama Fever Gap is wearing off fast.
    - John McCain will win this election.

i hope mccain does win, we don't need an osama bin ladden as president

  • Posted By: PhilMcCrackin @ 06/25/2008 1:36:02 AM

Hillary wants to be president so bad that if Obama selected her as his running mate, you can be sure that he would be assassinated with her succeeding to the very office she coveted.

yep, I fear you are correct.

I???m trying to understand the push for telecom immunity. So the Chief Executive has the power to order private actors to break the law, and when he issues such an order, the private actors will be protected from liability of any kind on the ground that the Chief Executive told them to do it. Wasn???t this the very theory that the Nuremberg Trials rejected?

Nerdgirls concept is very interesting. I liked it so much I sent them an email and leaving this post. Let's see if my ultimate challenge is a thing of interest. http://www.web3.ez1020.com - perhaps nerdgirls can try their hand on a global technology? I'll explore the possibility...

Why do all of Barack Obama's spiritual mentors and friends feel it necessary to constantly spew such hate rhetoric? I think he's guilty by association and the American people had best do some more research!

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/03/2008 8:16:55 PM

Oh get off your high horse -- AS IF some of our top politicians haven't been racists ever in our miserable history in the past 60 years to alienate a whole bunch of voters before? You're nuts if you think Reverend Wright is reason to suspect Obama's sincerity or whatever it is you'd like people to suspect... It's such a boring topic -- these politicians' preachers -- are we all such giant big fat HYPOCRITES that we have such terribly HIGH, SELF-RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS all of a sudden? Stop this nonsense - it's just a distraction from the real troubles we're facing together as a country. Get over this stupid nonsense about preachers - for any candidate - it's just not salient.

This isn't just a preacher. These are several people that have been friends, mentors and spiritual advisors for most of his adult life. When he chooses to associate with people that regularly spit anti-American, anti-semite and racist statements then we have to use this to evaluate who is this man, Obama. Since we know so little of him publicly, we have to take his public associations as a testament to the candidates character. I know most will not want to do this since it does not fit the messiah character that they have come to idolize but some people feel a need to vote for something other than vague "hope" and "change" without substance. He lies like a politician, he takes money from lobbyists like a politician and he parses his promises like a politician. There is no difference between him and the rest except most of the rest have some experience.

I would strongly suggest and advise Ms. Clinton to bow out gracefully. If she really loves this country and the democratic process, she must concede that she has lost the nomination and support the winning candidate. It is what she would expect if the shoe were on the other foot. She has asserted her experience again and again throughout this campaign, and how well she knows the political process. Well, the process is complete for the Democratice Primary and she is the loser. Time to stop chugging beer with the big boys Hilary, and go home and put on a dress, and allow your husband to wear the pants for a while. There is nothing wrong with actually being a lady.

  • Posted By: stormhowlett @ 06/05/2008 10:05:59 AM

I personally feel that Ms. Clinton should bow out gracefully. She has lost the democratic nomination, and would only be a thorn in Obama's side if she is chosen as his running mate. I can see her plotting his demise as Commander in Chief and planning her campaign for the next election four years in the running. Please. Go home. Let it be. I'm sure Mr. Obama can find you a nice cabinet position that will not allow you to interfere with this country's progress. If you love this country and the democratic process..go home. He can win without you, and he will.

If I was a leader in Israel, I wouldn't count on Barack Obama for support, if he was to ever become President. The company he has kept for the last 20 or more years appear to be Palistinian supporters.
