Again .. we are in these United States of America - while Clinton and Obama are nipping - both are slipping and now the door opens for the "real deal" - the great "White - Hope" - a white male ...Edwards. After all is the country really ready for a "FIRST"?????

    Mr. Fineman,

I'd like to apologize for the rude comments left here. Those DO NOT typify normal Ron Paul supporters. The Ron Paul "supporters" online tend to be very mean-spirited. I thank you for your video, it was very interesting.

johanndoe, huh? - what rude comments? and your experience has been the opposite of mine - far from being "mean-spirited", I have found the GENUINE Ron Paul supporters online to be happy, enthusiastic and great - they "get it" - if I've misinterpreted your post, please disregard. Let freedom ring! rod

Thanks for the Ron Paul interview. Many of us feel that Dr Paul conveys a message of freedom which Americans are drawn to from an early age. The more Ron Paul you deliver the more I'll be partricipating.
Let's not be afraid to give these ideas a chance.

I'm not sure Hukabee can separate religion from politics. Do we really want to vote in an evangical leader for our president? All he does is mock other religious beliefs and I'm already offended. He doesn't get my vote.

Vietnam Orphan - Legacy of Horror: I have been introduced by a closed friend to watch this video clip. I must said it is very sadden and disturbance to watch and listen to the voices of those children who cries out for assistance to the world. I applaud the photographer Mr. Justin Mott for his excellent work in those images and for allowing us to witness those horrific scene. Stories like these are eye-opening to the people like, you and I, are aware and awake the minds for Humanity, Hope, Peace and Dignity. Ms. Dang Bao Yen

I love Ron, so humble and thoughtful in responses. It is absurd how the media asks the question and then implies that the good Dr. attacked the candidates. It really came off as the media trying to manipulate the interview. I like that Mike Huckabee isn't afraid to speak out about his religion, but policy is important in the presidency, and Dr. Ron Paul was always able to get around the "greenspeak" in dealing with Alan Greenspan --a Congresman with that kind of economic knowledge is what we need. He too is a Baptist, as he has said "I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed... We live in times of great uncertainty when men of faith must stand up for our values and our traditions lest they be washed away in a sea of fear and relativism." -Dr. Ron Paul

I agree with you 100 % and they are not giving him enough air time because they are affraid that he will bring america back to what we are supposed to be, which is free, a whole bunch of our leaders in this country have committed treason against the american citizens and they know it.
we are making them aware that we know what they have done to our country and they are scared.

Comment: Legacy of Horror Video: I wish to commend Mr Justin Mott and the Editor of Newsweek for their courage and humility in allowing these pictures to be shown to the world. We must thank Vietnamese Govt also. The voices of the children are haunting and should evoke humanity to awaken to the tragedies around us. The question is this : In this world that we live in, how many people have the time to watch and act. The inhumanity of humanity is evidence before us but only if we care to see and listen and act. The choice is for us but these children should not be the legacy but the genesis of a new beginning. All people whether rich or poor, young or old should watch. Mr Thana

I feel as though MR. Obama should have taken care of Illinois before he ran for presidency. The state is close to bankruptcy, they have taken the pension monies of many laborers to run the state. Earlier this year they were not going to pay millions of workers because they couldn't agree on a budget. Many of the Veterans facilities are running on bare minimal staff because the state can not afford to hire! (Over 3000 HRS of Mandatory Overtime) So you see he should have made a difference in Illinois before he went to take on the whole country.

I feel as though Obama should have taken care of Illinois before trying for the presidency. Illinois is supposed to be going broke they have taken alot of pension monies from the teachers and state employe's. Earlier in the year they were even going to let lots of people go without a paycheck because they couldn't agree on a budget when it should of been settled months before. So you see i feel he should take care of his door step at home before he attempts the whole country.

I think sherry is quite insightful. I agree with the thing about division, and the thing about how people get "damaged" after years in the business.

I don't expect Obama to make it past the primaries, and I will be happy if Clinton wins, shes a smart and capable person. So much better than the current Pres. But Obama is my favorite.

I love he desperate attempt at saying that Ron Paul criticized BOTH candidates. Reality is he criticized the media and the public for even making religion an issue. When confronted with the ad that Fineman brings up he speaks his opinion on pandering to religion to the best of his knowledge but he didnt use it as a platform to criticize Huckabee....

    Nice try Fineman

Thank you, Newsweek for making these videos available. I like the whole package of Mike Huckabee. I am in agreement with him on tthe issues.. Authenticity, integrity, being able to lead during crisis, all of those traits are what I want in my President. I'm voting for Mike Huckabee!!

  • Posted By: eturn23 @ 12/07/2007 8:04:43 PM

This interview shows how honest, straightforward, and consistent Ron Paul is on the issues. I don't know how anyone could disagree or find fault in his logic, common sense, and reasoning. I was especially impressed with Ron Paul's ability to re-phrase his already succinct and to the point answers when Fineman doesn't like the answer he was given. This proves how important it is to get Ron Paul elected because he is the only honest candidate and the most courageous because he stands up for the truth and doesn't compromise his values for political expediency.
