As a member of an activist organization that strives to build bridges across class, race and socioeconomic divides within the LGBT community, I find the phrase "Gay is the new black" highly offensive. The last thing we need to do right now is resort to divisive and inflammatory comparisons. This was a decent discussion and good points on both sides of the energy issue. Newt has some very good ideas. Fareed is still obsessed with s philosophy that struggles to superimpose a leftist Indian view of politics and bureacracy on American culture and entreprenureship. It is a bad fit. Fareed is an intellectual and a nice guy and we need his point of view to keep the discussion honest, but he speaks from the far left - one that relies on Government for the solution to everything. We currently have the most dysfunctional, non-productive Congress since the Civil War and the last thing we need is more Government.
