Hey, I just tried to post a comment about Mormons in the FBI, domestic terrorism, and white powder letters.
It didn't post mmmmmmlet's see if this does. LMAO

I saw a program about how the FBI loves hiring Mormons. I also knew personally in WA a Mormon man who became a special agent, FBI. We also know that Bush has corrupted the justice dept with rightwing zealots.
I'm am putting 2 and 2 together and wondering why the "anthrax letter senders" were never really caught, but some scientist working in the lab with 14million cameras on him was scapegoated around the time he committed suicide. They just kinda disappeared. But we still have a lot of domestic terrorism with those letters. In fact, you will notice that the Mormon church got some yesterday, supposedly from "gays". I would say this is some "B face" acitiviy, only with gays instead of blacks.
Someone needs to investigate internally the FBI and the new COINTELPRO program.
Really sick how we pay people to oppress us, isn't it?

Nothing we didn't already know. The fruit just doesn't match the tree. Hey, remember COINTELPRO? It just has a new name, and is much, much more sophisticated.

God save us from this misadministration. my daughter traveling in europe this summer met foreigners who said "lika americans, donta lika the bush'",. that says it all. anyone who follows bush's idealogue, should never, ever be put in any seat of power. it does not matter what you wear in your lapel ,it's how you treat the citizens that elected you.

It is an unbelievable story unfolding as we get closer to the end of this present administration. The reason they have been able to damage the Constitution and Bill of Rights so badly is that the American public is so shocked as to not believe it. It goes against everything we were taught in school, learned from our parents and grandparents and strived to adhere to as patriotic and proud adults. Denial is a vicious mindset that must be confronted and overcome as we push ahead. It will be a tragic rendering of the American soul.

As our rights as citizens are slowly and deliberatly eroded, one must wonder what will be next. What will the tipping point be that triggers the second American Revolution or Civil War? With the Second Amendment still strong, will there be armed insurrection or can we resolve this with the vote? Most Americans feel that the vote, their last remaining control, has also been usurped by a power hungry and ego driven elitist administration bent on governing us in spite of ourselves. Is the study of world history so alien and complicated that we refuse to learn from it? I hope that the upcoming election will become a mandate for real change and we can then show the world we "saw the enemy and it is us".

In view of the horrible deceit this country has been forced to endured, if change is not imminent in the not to far future, our country's democractic principles will be earmarked for extinction. Our patriotic slogan "we will die for freedom" will be translated into "we will die for wealth. How these elected officials have not been scrutinized and investigated by the Justice Department especially in areas with there is no accountability of the taxpayers monies (probably into the billions)expended toprivate contractors in Iraq, is a terrible indication of the irregularies in a government where checks and balance once prevailed. The Bush-Cheney-Rice team responsible for allowing Colin Powell to go before the United States in pursue of seeking approval to forefill their deathly mission, clearly demonstrates that the "axis of evil" exist (not abroad) but right here. A country where bravery, decency and the pursue of freedom for all was sacred to Americans. How sad that our innocent men and women have been sacrified for the personal gains of a few. Yes, our consititutional rights have been violated and also those in Iraq and all those arrestees without due process. Democracy is being tested and if we don't wake up and get off whatever stupid pills we are on, we may never understand what holds in the future for this once beautiful country! If we don't wake up, the elitess will rule this nation with or without your vote!

Your article is in fact right on target with our current political situation and the fagrant violations this administration continues to enact. Unfortunately our citizenry is either intimated or does not understand the consequences involved when the President of one of the most consitutional countries of the world is influenced by a Vice President imposing his own political idealogies that are so unconstitutional. After the 9/ll attack, this adminstration appropiated itself of this tragic event by going before the United Nations with unverified intelligent documents declaring war on a country that to this date has not been connected to the attack of 9/ll. This adminstration has needlessly sacrified so many innocent lives in pursue of forfetting the political agenda of one orchestrator, the Vice President. The axis of evil is not abroad but right here in a country that once stood for decency, equality and justice for all! The Bush-Cheney, Rice,et.al, will be remembered as a cadre of greedy, self-doers whose only mission was to enhance the continual wealth of affiliated corporations. Our country's slogan will undoubtedly be changed from "to die for freedom" to long live wealth!

It is difficult as an American citizen to watch us lose what our forefathers raised pitchforks, pens, and guns to rid ourselves of. We have to think very realistically of whether sovereignty indeed lies with the people, or if the constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper that we like to idolize, but no one takes seriously.

I am an American citizen who feels my rights and freedoms have been sorely violated, but I continue to hope and trust that somewhere in government, if not with the commander-in-chief and his apprentice, that there are still good people in power who do stand for the ideals set forth by James Madison and Ben Franklin's team of patriots, and that there are those in power somewhere who still stand behind the country whose ideals I was taught to love and believe in.

If we can't have hope in our President, we must find hope elsewhere,because from where I look and stand at the bottom, not being a politician, I am embarrassed to be American right now, and I consider myself a Patriot with a voice and a pen who is being sorely oppressed,
repressed, and stepped on, and when my freedoms and rights are thus violated, it is the duty of those in power to stand against oppression and restore the rights we cherish.

Never lose hope, I believe all that happens has purpose and reason, and my country looks for a better day, with or without the current political government and climate.

I cannot judge President Bush, I don't know what motivates him, but I see people getting into power positions that should never be there, and it is frightening to think that we put into control people who speak well but don't care the least about the human condition or plight of humanity, they are simply in power for money, more money, and greed.

I would like to think that my country could rethink its values, rethink about the person they cut off on the road, or the door they let shut on the person behind them, and take an extra moment each day to raise an arm or hand to someone in need in the least little way.

I think our country needs healing from the bottom up, and we can't blame the President for everything that goes wrong, we need to start being the example from the bottom, trickle-up economics and good deeds, to heal this nation, and the world we need to stop usurping and be the example for.

If the President and his failing entourage can't be the example of our country, then we need to be the example, and raise a voice for democracy, and peace and justice in the world and the rights and value of the oppressed.

To anyone who witnessed the way the old Soviet Union used to maintain power, this sort of Newsweek article serves as Exhibit A in pointing out the similarities between then in the USSR and now in the USA. In the Soviet era, there was only Pravda and Isvestia to give the populace the latest news - what and whom to fear, etc - and there were few options but to trust them; there was no competition. This scenario is precisely what is partially developed in the USA today, and if the media had their way talk radio and Fox news television would be silenced so their slant on the news would be all there is. Take the opening of this article, the tone of it and the facade of impartiallity (I didn't say so, all these authors said so) that quickly gives way to open agreement with ""those authors". Yes, Newsweek is part of the problem, and thanks for the reminder this piece (I won't say of what) represents.

Actually, you don't know the half of it, speaking of the crimes which have been committed undwer this Administration against those least able to make known their plight. This involves illegal surreptitious bfreak-ins, and the most blatant mail tampering, and other offences. You really do need to stop and think about this - once the Government has presumed their filthy way into your home, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT! It puts paid to all the lies which have underpinned each of the fraudulently-conceived and -conducted recent wars, and is a stand-alone compelling case for the criminal prosecution of officials, including those in the White House. You hint disparagingly at those who adhere to "conspiracy theories". There is nothing theoretical about what has been taking place in high places - for those who have done their serious homework. But these people understand the role you play in dowmplaying tjeir understanding for dramatic and forceful change.

Knowledge of and loyalty to the constitution is a great sifter of true patriots. Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate in the entire field campaigning to bring us back in line with the constitution and bring the executive branch back into the realm of checks and balances. I think this article hits on the real reason that Ron Paul is winning the early money of Americans of every political stripe and their strong support at straw polls all across the country.
