GIVE JAMIE A BREAK! You don't know what celebrities face... yeah sure she has money, fame, fans and many other things but she also has people breathin down her neck! STOP JUDGING HER! I ain't a celebrity an neither are YOU! You don't know what they face.... there are good sides of being celebrity and a bad side. It ain't easy being a celebrity... Jamie's got enough stress as it is and people like you that have no feelings and like to give people like her crap shows how selfish you are. It was her choice on to have sex and I understand if she has been a role model to yonger people but at least she's doing the right thing of keeping the baby. People like you say its a mistake having a baby is like saying "I don't like you cause you have a kid, that was a mistake you did and I'm discussted. You make me sick, your a bad example." and is also like saying "Just for making one mistake or something your a BAD person!" WHICH IS NOT TRUE! Just cause she does that it dosen't make her a bad person! She ain't perfect, no one is! I betcha anything you ain't perfect to and I bet you make mistakes everyday! STOP JUDGING HER!

Upon reading the various articles and stories about both Britney Spears and new mom Jamie Lynn, I have concluded the following: the two sisters seem to be lacking in morals, standards, and, values. I suspect that this is due to exposure to the Hollywood lifestyle, but moreover, the failing job their parents, in particular, their mother. Jamie Lynn"s continual mention on how neat and tidy things are for her now earns her a crazy and mushy line of something like how she must feel all "dewey and soft as she glowed for nine months,",and how she feels "natural and beautiful while she cooks, cleans, and scrubs toilets." In other words, she thinks life with the kid will be peachy and easy without further thought of how teenagers can be negatively impacted by having to grow up fast mentally while having to deal with the mind not being quite developed enough to handle such a burden and a task as motherhood. This does not mean that the baby isn't cute or that the baby is not innocent--she is. I am not implying that all teens are idiots, rather they lack the experience an adult has. One interview with Jamie Lynn's mom was one of her stating her younger daughter was "an old soul" and she was "responsible" along with the baby's father. How she let these two get together to finally conceive is both irresponsible and regrettable whether Jamie-Lynn has big bucks or not. She certainly seems to believe she has one good role model to look up to: her wacko and substance-abusing sister. How pathetic!

Sounds like Cherbear has nothing better to do than sit around and bad mouth people she doesn't even know. She seems to know an awful lot about "white trash", maybe she has had some personal experience in this area. Jamie Lynn is probably no different than any other 17-year-old in America, she just happens to be in the spotlight 24/7. If it was your next door neighbor nothing would be said. Congrats to Jamie Lynn and her beautiful new baby!

I suspected I would have to respond to the mostly babys having babies; I think this is the bulk of the positive and encouraging comments aimed at Jamie Lynn and her pride and glamourizing of her underaged motherhood. Sadly, the taxpayers are picking up the tab for most of the other kids and this is both frustrating and disturbing. Sounds like nowadays the girl starts her cycle at 11, has a baby by 13, and regrets not having a baby back at 12. Like I stated earlier, I am 40 years old and was raised better than these two white trash bimbo sisters who seem to think money will buy them all that is needed to raise kids. I suspect that rondajj is a kid,or someone who thinks underage mothers are to be worshiped instead of ones that others should be cautioned about. Please stop glamourizing and cheering on those who are well, too dumb to know how dumb they are!

You can tell her sister has really done some damage with her and opened her eyes to Hollywood being the green-eyed monster. She seems very aware and it is nice that she cares about her education. I would rather see articles like this one other than the crap that the tabloids push. Why can't they push positive stuff about the stars.? These stars are the role models for our younger society and garbage is not what they need to see. Good job Sarah! Maybe society can learn something from you and Jamie Lynn Spears. The tabloids need to wake up and realize that we have class and I find it offensive that they think this garbage is what we want to read. I am sure they picture us opening up their tabloid and having a smoke while we watch the Springer show. Seriously...

IM not understanding why people are congratulating a 17year old girl on having a baby...someone PLEASE enlighten me on just HOW this is something to be happy about!! she's just a BABY herself!! minus the fame & the famous last name she's a child who had NO BUSINESS playing grownup!! no nani she is NOT A ROLE MODEL TO YOUNG GIRLS. what she did was NOT responsible & NOT mature, you are NOT MATURE @ 17!!!!!!! if ANYONE should share this blame it should be her mother who shouldve sat down & talked to her daughter about her position in the spotlight & how she should be a good example to the young girls watching her wanting to be like her. and rondajj, JUST because there might be other teenagers getting pregnant does that make it RIGHT?!?! thats SOO sad that everyone is just accepting this as the norm instead of doing it the way God intended. i understand people make mistakes & can overcome them but to glorify a baby getting pregnant, NOT GOOD.

When I was a "tween-ager" our role models were Welcome Back, Kotter" and "Happy Days"..and you know what? Some of us turned out good, some not so good. Life is about personal choices. Personal responsibilities. How hypocritical of us to "hate" a young girl for choosing life for her baby, keeping family ties and employment. OMG! In a world where, at 13 years of age, most have already had an STD! We act so sanctimonious! Many many many of us would do well to become our own childrens role models instead of waiting for Hollywood to do it for us!

your cover should read, Jamie gets caught with pants down and gets screwed. Just as her sister, you now can be sure they need to get some big time help (not dr.phil) and go somewhere to get the slut gene taken out. They are no role models for anything but their own family and it seems she sure watches mom and sis...and learns. Now the kid has to bear the jokes when it grows up and finds out the truth about mom, auntie and grandma....and what ever pops up out of that family. Lets not forget about the kids daddy...he just as bad as the rest of them...Poor kid...the baby not jamie...

What, more white trash? It takes more than money and fame to raise a child. Shame on Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears for their party animal ways as well. I really hope that Jamie Lynn's boyfriend is charged with rape per the state intervening, even if Jamie Lynn's parents turn a blind eye to this. These girls seem to think that all they need is a nanny for their nights out for drinking, smoking, and wild partying and they will still come out with well-balanced children. At age 17, Jamie Lynn, like other teens, are not emotionally developed enough to care for a baby and don't seem to worry much about the consequences in an intimate relationship anyway. At age 40, I am proud to say that due to proper upbringing, I never acted wild and crazy like these girls, Jamie, unmarried and a young mother, and Britney, older but definitely not the wiser role model for her younger sister. Some people are just too dumb to know how dumb they are.

What, more white trash in the news? She couldn't wait till she turned 18 to become pregnant. Not only is this litttle tramp too young and green to take on the responsibility of parenthhood at 17, but she seems to have what is known as "magical thinking" in that her money will buy her baby all that is needed and that's not true for anyone. Her dumb jock of a boyfriend should also be brought up on rape charges even if Jamie Lynn Spears' mother or father refuse to have the state intervene . Shame on both Britney and Jamie Lynn for being two talentless bimbos who have brought kids into this world and think their money will buy them a clean slate and well-balanced children . But of course, paying a nanny or maid will be their solution as far as money is concerned . In their minds, having the caretaker equals being able to go out and party ,smoke, and drink as usual without further thought of consequences. At 40 years old, I was never a party animal because I had a good upbringing and would never act wild like these two pathetic losers. Some people are just too dumb to know how dumb they are.

"Just been reading scripts, looking around, kind of hanging out, being a kid." As long as we are being self-indulgent in our reasoning, why not consider 'becoming' a serious actress?
Dreams are not bad. But, when children have children while they are 'living' their dreams, it implies a certain poetic complacency. Reality is that success can always go to someone else - without baggage.

If the Spears were just a plain family in a small town in Louisiana, then these girls' behavior wouldn't be considered that unusual. It certainly wouldn't rate any news coverage, even in the local paper. It's only because of this country's obsession with bimbos and airheads that they get such ridiculous publicity. I can only suggest that all the people who think that either of the Spears girls has any real importtance should get a life.
The one thing that surprises me about this incident is that the right wingers aren't howling for her boy frined to be charged with staturatory rape. He is lucky he is white and doesn't live in Florida.

I was really being sarcastic in my first comment..Yes it is sad that this young girl is going to be a mom...And yes it happens all the time. But shouldnt WE as parents be a roll model for our children and not rely on television, and various types of media to raise our kids. My kids watch Hanna Montana, the Spears' and play those ignorant games that encourages prostitution and killing for more points, but its up to parents to teach the kids to respect themselves and others. I watched cartoons and and the like in the seventies and on, but im not dropping pianos on peoples heads and using Acme products to hunt down a road runner. A PARENT is first and for most the person responsible for how a child behaves in the future. Not a t.v. , a childless psychotherapist and some ritalin.
