I find it peculiar that there are very few issues noting the historic and triumphant rise of Obama a black man in America. When pundits make comments like using "regular" and "white" interchangeably to describe Americans. Or calling him Halfrican to describe him being biracial, or even going into detail about how he really isn't the first black candidate, although he calls himself black., these things are brushed off, never mentioned. And woe to the person who does mention it b/c they get the charge of the race card. Now anyone who is open-minded enough can realize that the media only questions Palin's experience because they are sexist. There are so many articles referring to her being a woman, she constantly does, the campaign constantly does, yet they say women have it hardest... So why is race such an unmentionable thing in this election?

Why are you guys all so worried about the press? You all seem to know it all anyway? Perhaps because the press is a convenient straw man to stir you jackals up into a frenzy. You are the same idiots that brought us Bush/Cheney. Have you no shame! Eight years of running this country into the ground and you are clamoring for more. You just make yourselves look sad.

One small correction: Louisiana got rid of their female governer in the last gubernatorial election. But there's no reason whatsoever to think that her gender had anything to do with her loss at the polls; two hurricanes and a botched response were probably responsible for her loss.

Though she cancelled the bridge project, she did keep the money and used it for other projects.

If you think Newsweek is politically biased towards the democrats, check Time Magazine. Disgraceful.

Sarah Palin is God-sent, a breath of fresh air in an otherwise very boring election cycle.

Saying Newsweek is "two-faced" on Palin is generous.....I haven't see such a feeding frenzy since the days of Saddam Hussein stapling pork chops to Kurdish citizens (before throwing them into a lion pit).

How two-faced and in the tank for the Democrats can Newsweek get? Praise her a year ago and attack her today. Newsweek has proven that it has no objectivity by contradicting itself. We are witnessing the end of the pretense of objective journalism and this is the same crowd that wants to force the "fairness doctrine" on talk radio. What we really need is a fairness doctrine for the ultra liberal big media.

I love this quote "When voters perceive things are bad, they expect a woman candidate to come in and create change," says Debbie Walsh of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. "Voters give them license not to fit the mold."

This article is further evidence of the effectiveness of Governor Palin's leadership, her extensive experience in government management and her knowledge of important issues affecting our nation. Excellent article!
