Mike ought to withdraw from the race and endorse Ron Paul. Huck is a tax hound as his records shows. Ron Paul is the only sane choice for president.

I am going to be intolerant here and say that the previous comments make no sense at all. If anyone can get their head around this - let me know.

I will say that Huckabee is a refreshingly unpolitically correct candidate. The REAL reason he isn't doing well in the polls is because NO ONE READS about "the other" candidates. If you haven't been blessed by the media to get press then no one can make an opinion about you. The whole political system is broken and our forefathers would rollover in their graves to see what a mockery it has become today. It's a stage performance for those with the most money. If you don't have money, you don't get elected. Abraham Lincoln would NEVER get elected in today's system.

I am glad someone wants Huckabee. I sure don't. I know what the man has done. Gave a rapist/murderer a pardon and would not pardon a good christian man. A man who proved over 20 years that he deserved a pardon and was denied twice. Let that monster go and he raped and killed again.

Sir, I was not aware of this information about Gov. Huckabee. I used to live in Arkansas and I have never heard about what you have stated here. Please, if you don't mind (I'm not trying to be nosy), give more information. If such a thing is true, then it certainly changes my view of him. If such a thing is true, it would definately disqualify him from being President, from my perspective. Thanks.

I say go mike go! No one is perfect. But, I can tell you that a man that sticks by his principles and will reach out to those he disagrees with is exactly what we need:)

When are the reporters going to ask him about his tax hikes in Arkansas? Why let this man off the hook when you grill the other candidates? There was a man who had proven himself to be a good citizen. A non viloent offender for over 20 years and he failed to parden him twice. He only lets the worst of people have pardons.

The major reason many Christian Conservatives are uneasy with Huckabee is because he's an American first. And that means that he won't demonize people who disagree with him. Bush made the mistake of thinking that silence of the majority of the people to his demonization of disagreement with his policies, was agreement. It wasn't. Their silence simply masked the fear and loathing that Americans, as a People, have with the spectre of a government-sponsored intolerance of the most basic American freedom--freedom to disagree with government. Christian Conservatives, it seems, really don't want an American who is deeply religious, and imbued with all the Christian values they proffer as their agenda. The problem is that Huckabee tolerates others' disagreement with him. And it's that toleration in Huckabee which unmasks the Christian Conservatives' true agenda and why they won't support Huckabee: they don't want someone who has true Christian values because that means he's tolerant; they want someone who is intolerant, and says he has Christian values. Christian Conservatives are neither "christian" nor "conservative." They are simply intolerant people who want a president like them. It should be no surprise that Bush's approval rating is at about 25%--the number of Christian Conservatives.
