So Mr. Prince is the monarch of Blackwater... He does fit rather well in the Bush "Kingdom" and with unlimited funds and exemptions to all laws probably qualifies as a soverign country?

Sure, most people can sit back and complain about things that go on in the war on terror, but I ask, how many of you "detractors" know what it's like to drive down Iraqi roads and fear for your life day in and day out. Also, knowing that the vehicle that you're riding in are not nearly as blast resistant and bullet proof as what the military uses. I almost guarantee none of you know what it's like. These guys are doing a mission that 99.9999% of the world won't do. Give them a break in my opinion. Remove yourself from your comfy chairs and "armcahir" quarterbacking for 30 seconds and think about what these guys are going through and tell me you wouldn't have reacted much in the same manner. I'm a separated military member who used to disarm roadside bombs, and it pisses me off to no end when people find the inability to realize the kind of stress these guys are under. I don't necessarily support Bush...and I'm not a republican, so what's your excuse?

It pisses you off, eh? What ae we doing there to begin with? In the 1991, the first attack to Iraq, gasoline was $14 a barrel. It wen up all the the way to $40 In 2003, second attack on Iraq, the barrel of oil cost $40, by 2007 it is as high as $84. Do you see the connection. Don't get pissed off. Just apply for a job, and go kill Iraqian from the back of pick up truck, just for fun!

Listen, I support Bush and the republican party as much as I support a swift kick in the balls. My point is, there are people doing jobs that, whether you like it or not, need to be done. I did a tour in Iraq for 7 months and saved probably thousands of lives...Iraqi and American. I did my job because it needed to be done...not because I "blindly" supported Bush or his agenda. These Blackwater guys are doing the same thing...again, put yourself in their shoes for just 10 seconds out of your "hard life" and try and understand what kind of conditions these guys face everyday.

Hitler had the same problems with "Protection" during the 1930s and created the paralegal, fanatical, non accountable SS. The WaffenSS was put under military command during military operations by the Army, but otherwise was free to execute Himmler's genocide plans. Blackwater has many similarities including perhaps Taliban like religious ferver. It will be interesting to look back in 10 years and see the parallels drawn in the history books.

He's a conservative with military experience. Worse still, he is wealthy and religious. A member of four 'highly suspect' classes apparently deserves your greatest scrutiny and suspicion. Your article is nothing but an abbreviated rehash of the weak suspicions from the recent blackwater book. Shame on him for supporting our govt and our policy overseas. If that's the best you can do...I think you need a new line of work.

Isn't this article supposed to be ajournalistic piece??Why is it then accoompanied with this self-serving false propaganda audio by Blackwater?? Why are you giving a platform to this mercenary organization with such criminal track record in disguise of a news article?

NOBODY should be above the law, ... no matter how noble the cause! If Blackwater is not answerable in the theater of operation, or, their country of origin, to whom, and, where are they accountable? Even the executive branch, the presidency, has to accountability in our system of `checks and balances'. So, then, what makes Prince and Blackwater any different? We realize that in the `real world' of politics and `spooks'(CIA, covert ops, etc.) some latitude is desireable. But, as far as most Americans are concerned, there must be a measure of accountability to the government of the people, by the people, and, for the people. And, as far as I`m concerned, not even the president should have immunity from responsibility to the people, or, the courts!

Seems very like the German SS/Waffen SS paramilitary organization of the Hitler Years.

Ignorance knows no bounds and historical ignorance hosts this classic example

Hmm, is he the head of the Hitler youth?

Here is the epitome of a "Cheap Shot" by a true ignoramous!

I totally agree and deplore the demise of good journalism.

I think it makes a statement about the reason their mission is required- not one of their charges has been killed. Sometimes politicians can't or won't do what needs to be done, blackwater can take over where the politicians have left off. These guys do great work, are in danger and away from their families, and are committed to their country. They have my respect and are in my prayers.
