Has Newsweek gone tabloid? Does anyone really care about the Clintons' marriage more than our national health care crises, more than our budget deficit, more than the war in Iraq and beond that, whatever Iran is planning next? Get real people. If you need this kind of reading from an author who sounds like she's out to make money from two prominent people who have dedicated their lives to public service, then maybe those interested in this drivel should pick up a romance novel, instead of reading the book or "Newsweek."

Since when do people talk about a canidate's emotions vs. job ability??? This is stereotypical B.S.!!! And don't they always say, "leave your problems at the door". That means emotions and personal issues aside when at work! Come on ladies...toughen up we have a JOB TO DO.

I think it's extremely difficult for women (especially women in politics) to find a good balance when it comes to showing or not showing emotion. If women show too much emotion, people (especially men) will say, "oh, it must be that time of the month." And if a women shows too little emotion people think she's a heartless b**ch. It's not easy.

We have more woman in this country than men and we as woman are not smart enough to put a woman in the White House as President, whether it be Hillary or someone else. When are we woman going to wake up and stop letting men run this country. Hillary should be judged on her politics not her sex. Our National Security is important so but attacking Iraq does not make us safer, it just put a larger target on our back. We educate them and then they go home and try to blow us up. Even our allies are not our allies, France apparently has forgotten that we rebuilt them after WWII and then told us they didn't have to pay us back as we did with our countries in Europe and where are we now, they hate American's just like the Middle Eastern countries do, what do they say "down with American's". Yes, our security is very important but if we got attached on American soil, we would be in a world of hurt because most of our military personal, who by the way are extremely underpaid, are somewhere else in the world. We borrow money from Japan and China to keep us going and how does this benefit us, because I know they are not going to erase the debt like we did. In 10 or 20 years the US will not be the most powerful country in the world. We have kids killing kids in our inner cities, a horrible health care system that we can't afford, a welfare system that is a huge joke. Maybe a woman can fix this, a man hasn't been able to do it.

Both Bill and HIllary are interesting role models for all of us....ie. How to move on and still prosper tremendously personally and professionally in spite of major public disgrace. In a magical way, they seem to have "willed away" any negative impact of Bills affairs and garnered cheers from a lot of people. Could this have happened if Hillary were gripped by the emotion of his actions? Her public personna gave them both strength.

Bottom line: This is one self-serving, calculating ***.

I've never discussed this publicly before, but my domestic partner at the time (I'm a gay guy) was the director of presidential e-mail during the Clinton years, and I volunteered in the Office of Presidential Correspondence. As a result, I got a chance to see semi-close up how the Clintons interacted, at least in front of their staff support employees, and the one memory I have clearly is how incredibly loyal every single employee who worked for Mrs. Clinton was to her. With very rare exception, her staff personnel were absolutely committed to her. She was demanding, but her rationality served her very well, as that rationality gave her the most loyal set of employees that I have ever seen serve a leader. I think it's that ability to lead people that will, sooner or later, result in Hillary becoming our nation's first female President. All Presidents have had to check their emotions at the door of the Oval Office to some degree; why would Mrs. Clinton want to operate otherwise?

Who really cares about what happen over 8 years ago anyway. Truth is what ;happen is between the Clintons. Bill was a great president minus a few mistakes. All I know is we were better off. And Hillary is very smart and has the ability to lead this country back to where it needs to be. Go Hillary !

I agree with "turkey". Further to that, this emotional detachment will be an asst to her as president. In a crisis she will be more able to keep her head and not buy in to the emotions being thrown at her by others. I have worked with other women who fit a similar profile and they are good decision makers and administrators. and more emotional that they appear on the surface. We're not looking for a wife here, we're looking for a good leader and manager.

Hillary has only stayed married to Bill for one reason, the political advantage it gives her. Any other decent woman would have left the unfaithful SOB years ago.

Who cares about what happen over 8 years ago. Truth is we were better off and I don't care about the affair Bill had. Its none of our buisness anyway. What I do no is Hillary is our best choice and surely she is over that BS that happen years ago.

Reading the post below, "Depraved Islamic Jihadians - Fox News non-biased reporting(!!??) - Bush's balls.." a typical blinkered, naive, ignorant American espousing on issues that you know nothing about. Clinton left the world in a state of relevant peace, did not start a war for non-existant WMD in Iraq, nor did he raise the ire of millions of Muslims around the world as GW Bush has done. Does it take balls to make insane decisions like he has done? Try to think with some clarity and outside of your 50-state insular perspective.

Emotion or No Emoton. She is still the best candidate running for President of the United States.
She has my vote and those of many more people I know. Go Hillary.

Personal, I choose not to get involved in whether I think the Clinton's marriage is right or wrong. What I am more concerned with is the lack of choices we have to chose from for the President of the United State.

I agree with turkey and further to that, it is an asset that she is a person who is likely to keep a clear head in a crisis when all around her are expressing their emotions. I have worked with many women that are similar to what is discribed in the article and they are great dicision makers and administrators.
