Why the need to dissect the Clinton's marriage?!? What about Rudy's 3 marriages, or McCain's or any of the other candidates(Democrat or Republican) for that matter? I think it's purely the fact that she's a woman candidate with the White House within her grasp - How sexist is that?!? I thought Newsweek was better than this...

I too support Senator Clinton. The Democrats will win the White House in 2008 due entirely to the mismanagment of the Bush administration. So, if a Democrat will become our chief executive then let it be the Democrat with the best credentials, experience and ability. And if Mr. Gore would honor us with his candidacy then I will switch my support and contributions to him. After all, he has won our support once already and should be given the chance to succeed or fail.

I too will support Senator Clinton as she is the best Democrat running - that is until Vice President Gore honors us by running. The Democrats will win the White House in 2008 due to the horrible mismanagement of the Bush administration over 8 very sorrowful years. So, if it must be Hillary than she is a great improvement over Mr. Bush. And if perchance we can elect Mr. Gore, then hooray. After all, he earned his chance at the White House in 2000 and should be given the oppportunity to succeed or fail.

A woman who is ruled by reason rather than emotion-- I say "bring her on". After 8 years of a shallow, uncompassionate, unwise, dishonest, irrational, impulsive ideologue George Bush I think the nation is ready for a rational, compassionate and driven Hillary Clinton.

Mrs Clinton has principles. She is a principled person. This is not a forgotted, if unpopular, concept. Do I want a president that is governed by principles or emotions? Critics of female leadership have for centuries put forward the "fact" that women are too emotional to have key leadership roles. Now Hillary is not emotional enough to suit some. It will not be both ways. Basically governed by feelings or common sense? Which would be better president material? Give the woman some credit. She's a class act. Whether you like her or not, she's a class act who would not embarrass America in the world arena. She's not a narcissistic, spoiled brat. America could live with that change of venue.

The current Bush administration has told more lies and conducted more cover-ups than the Clintons ever thought of. As far as I am concerned, I would rather have a president who can balance a budget, maintain our international relationships and lead our country, even if he can't keep it in his pants, rather than a president who is inept, takes our country to war for profit and has his own little personal issues. Anyway, if I am not mistaken, Hillary Clinton is running for office, not Bill, so leave it alone.

Why do the Clintons always get a "pass" from the drain stream media. Bill Clinton didn't "admit" to anything. He lied about everything in his life from his adulterous marriage to his military record to his medical records. How could "journalists" ever believe that the smartest woman in the world did not know her hound dog husband had the self control of an adolescent boy. She even relocated her brother and her father in Arkansas while she was in DC (working on Nixon's impeachment, how ironic) to keep an eye on him. The lies she spins and the secrets she hides (death of Ron Brown and Vince Foster) go on and on. How many brain dead people are there in this country willing to support her and move this nation into a fascist state?

    • Posted By: winnie1960 @ 10/16/2007 12:20:14 PM

a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. That is the definition of fascist and it sounds like the Bush Administration. You can add yourself to the list of brain dead in this country.

Because of the last "Clinton White House" we now have kids in Junior High and High School who think;"hey, there is nothing wrong with oral sex!" Another Clinton White House............give me a break.

You're so right on this one. What a prestigious distinction Bill Clinton has given our country-
Kids all over do look at oral SEX, as NOT sex at all. Exactly what is the second word after ORAL? He and
his immoral Whitehouse, and the sham marriage, can even add another quirk to the American language when referring to oral sex: "A Monica" How lovely, huh? they turned the Whitehouse into a real motel
6, and a Whorehouse. NO ONE NEEDS THIS AGAIN.

      • Posted By: winnie1960 @ 10/16/2007 12:13:42 PM

Okay as a teenager of the 70's oral sex has always been around. The Clinton's didn't invent it. Most of our parents had sham marriages because "divorce is wrong and against God". The Clintons stay together just like our parents did and all of a sudden the moral majority has a problem with it. This is the only reason you can come up with to oppose the election of Mrs. Clinton? Do you oppose Mr. Gulliani because he can't commit to one woman? He is on his third marriage and cheated on his previous wife with his current wife. Our kids arent' bright enough to even know what countries were our allies in WWII or answer basic civics questions but you think a sex scandal that occurred before they even made it to high school is the reason of their current sexual behavior? Oh please. You complain about this nothing issue when the country has so many other problems that the current administration created. At least the Clintons proved they could balance a budget. That use to be a republican ability. The Bush Administration has become the spendthrifts of this country while raiding the coffers for their rich corporate buddies who keep the profits for rich lifestyles instead re-investing in the company and creating jobs, competing in the world market and paying wages that allow Americans to purchase the products they make.

NickCM, you're blaming the kids' lack of morals on the Clinton WH?? Get a grip--these kids see vivid sex on tv and movies EVERY DAY!! Do you have children? What do they watch?? Look at the crime among our youth--blame Clinton? Maybe you should look at the violence on tv and at the video games these kids play.

There are only two things worse than a Hillary Clinton presidency: 1. Every Republican that is currently running for president. 2. The current Republican in the White House. Disect these characters personal and private lives and see which one qualifies as a kids role model. Goodby conservative Republicans from anyone in that group.

But EMathes, you could say the same about Democrats. Basically Politics in the US has become another "event", a Super bowl if you will. Its become this game of Red vs Blue, akin to a video game (Halo anyone?).
You can't ignore that the Clinton Administration is the point in time when the media evolved and was even invited into the White House and its just moved towards the worst part of that scale. Its still a better quality of life here than in most of the world.

You will be the one that burns, you idiot... GO FAR FAR AWAY, you are not welcome in OUR Country.

I liked it better when the press stayed out of the personal lifes of elected officials. Most Presidents has there "asides", but weren't dealing with the press of today, OR an opposing party which hated that a Democrat was elected and hated Bill Clinton even more. For the US, they were good years.
