If she is willing to over look her husbands affairs, what else is she willing to overlook?
If she is willing to over look her husbands affairs, what else is she willing to overlook?
This woman doesn't care if her husband played around, she is only upset that he has no class and keeps getting caught. This women is a pathological liar and will say a do anything (to anyone) that will get her to the next level and will personally try destroy anyone that get's in her way. And democrat women are just a nasty (of stupid) and will vote for her anyhow. They did for her husband because they thought he was cute or would help them get more welfare handouts.
BTW who is pimping for slick Willy these days? My guess would be Larry Flynt
I personally don't assume the overwhelming majority of presidential decision making is easy and without emotion. But it does need to be rational, honest (most especially), and confirmed with truthful facts to substantiate the decisions. And yes I'm a flaming democrat, and I do believe that our current administration has been very dishonest with its constiuency, the free American voters. In addition, our current administration has deminished our freedom and democracy with the Homeland Security debaucle in LA during the flood, with racial profiling. My brother-in-law, STAUNCH republican, finally has admitted that this administration definitely bungled tragically.
I have been frequently told by men over the years that my emotions get in the way of my making good and rational decisions. This is a true statement, when I take my personal emotion out of the decision making process; I make better decisions.
When facing a complicated decision - whether it's a compromise over a bill on the senate floor to serve the greater good, or whether it's a decision to deploy troops. I want my Commander in Chief to exemplify integrity by demonstrating the diffference between simple right and wrong, I want their decision to be logical and rational, substantiaed, and remain as compassionate as much as the situation will allow.
I hate speculative propaganda about these matters like this stupid article. So I agree with Hillary and Chelsea, you have to turn it off, and do the job you are there to do, but as mature adults do you really think it's so damn easy to do that. I don't for one minute think that making the choice to turn off the emotion for the sake of the greater good is remotely easy at all.
Hillary didn't create a scandal, her husband did. She was the victim of his scandals, and it's over. Damn most of the people I know are married out of convenience, so WHAT?
She is her own person, she is strong and believe or not, it takes enormous integrity to stick it out under such difficult circumstances. Hell I couldn't do it and I applaud Hillary for making her own path, and running for President. I liked Bill Clinton, in spite of his scandals he did a pretty good job overall. And I believe that Hillary would do a better job than her husband, because her penis isn't going to get in the way of her decisions.

I'm a (mostly) Republican voter, who actually thinks she is very smart and goal-driven. She lacks her husband's ability to connect with people, especially via the TV media, although a friend who was at some event with her back when Bill was running in 1992 said she was actually pretty funny in person. My fear is that she is not a compromiser. If she finds that one of her ideas (like national health care) does not, on further investigation, make sense, I fear she will not back peddle so as to save face. Kind of like G.W.Bush has become during his second term. I also fear that she has built a Condi Rice kind of wall of stiolidness around her that makes her out of touch a bit. I'd vote for Bill (like I did when I used to vote mostly Dem back in 1992) but not sure I can take his wife's roboticness for 4 or 8 years. On the bright side, if she gets elected, then we can always go for Jeb in 2012, so we keep that Bush-Clinton-Buch-Clinton-Bush-Tudor-Windsor-Tudor-Windsor.. thing going. :-)
Floyd, you hit the nail on the head. She needs some balance in her life. Who knows, maybe if she wasn't an ice princess, her hubby would be more satisfied at home with her on all levels. As far as the American people, she needs to learn the principal that "people buy on emotion and justify their purchase with fact" (unknown).
I am so tired of hearing how strong Hillary is and how great she was during Bill's transgressions. It truly proves that she has no heart or soul and no emotion that is the real thing. Just remember, if she gets in the White House all of the characterics I have before mentioned, she will take to the White House along with Bill, who won't have anything else to do but bed the young girls in the White House. I truly believe that she no longer knows the difference between the real truth and falsehoods just to get her in front of people. Why does she not give one on one TV interviews on real news stations instead of The View?
It is obvious by your comments that you are extremely immature. Enough said
WOMEN!! Is it all about a WOMAN??? Hillary does not have any emotion...just looking for POWER! Examples: her husband really did the nasty, over an over and over...and she still stayed in th marriage (word used loosley).
I would not vote for her just BECAUSE she is a woman...nor would I NOT vote for a woman..It is THE woman that matters. Hillary is in it for ONE thing...POWER!
The Clinton marriage is merely one of necessity. Necessity for each to attain their narcissistic, Machiavellian goals. They have set new lows for the institutions of politics and marriage. The fact that this emplty pant suit is a serious contender for the Presidency, shows how far the Democratic Party and we as a society have fallen. God help us all!
This artice is pathetic!!!!! It is obviously just another attempt by Republicans to demonize Hilary Clinton. They say they care about "family values" yet when a woman sticks by her husband as Hilary has done, they accuse her of lacking emotion. What in the world? If she had divorced Bill after the scandal and tried to run for Presidency, guess what?, the article title would have been "Ex-first lady with absolutely no family values is running for president". It does not matter how and why they are still together and whether or not thay are dysfunctional. The important thing is that they stayed together and with the divorce rates as high as they are, i can only applaud them .Gimme a freakin break! Let's focus on Rudy Gulliani and his divorces and leave the MARRIED Clintons alone.

Deatached from her emotions?........Are we talking about the same Hillary Clinton I know? Ask her when she trashed the room she and the President were in during the Lewinsky-gate affair.....when things were crashing around and the secret service was perplexed, as whether or not to intervene? Detached? ......I'd have to argue to the contrary, and I dare say the same about the former President Bill Clinton......his outbursts are documented. Stop the crap about detached from their emotions.....they're not machines.......

Hmm. Well, an educated, thoughtful, restrained leader. Won't that be a refreshing change?
Amen. I'll take Hilary any day, any time. Rather than the little boy who is doing something for 'daddy.'
That something which has lead us to unstrained emotionality, hidden by an unconscious desire to acquire 'daddy's approval.'
That last sentence is a little too cryptic. What exactly does the author mean? That Gulianni's record is too imeccable to criticize in its own right? That it is unwise of Clinton to ignore useful political weapons at her disposal? That it will be a situation in which Clinton will feel the rare emotional pull to attack an opponent and it will be hard for her to resist? That Clinton should attack Guilianni but won't simply because she doesn't understand that emotions are important? You see--the wording makes it seem like any of those options are viable, and I don't think that this book review is intended as a poem. So unless the point is to demonstrate that emotions have a place in the world, I would like to hear what the author had in mind because, on the whole, this is an intriguing article.

A persons past does matter, it is a part of the path they are taking and where they might end up is presently at stake. To judge the messanger is naive, every piece of this puzzle is important to consider. It is said behind every great man is a woman that supports him. I do not recall Hillary showing anything even remotely resembling support when Bill was waving his flesh wand on the hill. Hillary did best to look the other way and for that I commend her. There does need to be a balance between emotional responses and measured logic as few situations readily present a measure of truth in any political situation.
I think it is very dangerous to judge the quality of someone's marriage, unless it is your own. What would you say about JFK's potential for leadership, based on his roving eye, and disregard for his wife? I agree with those who believe that because Clinton is a female, a double standard is at work here. She is highly qualified for her upcomin role of President. That is all that matters.
Excellent Statement!!!
People really!!!! Hillary for President? This woman is a sheep killin' dog! She is riding the coat tails of lies the Clintons have told this country for years. All of you say the President is lying and are angry about that? Where were you when the Clintons were covering up their lying to the American people? Nice smoke screen Bill!! Hillary would be the worst thing to happen to this country in 200 years. No matter if you are Democrat or Republican, try to see past her "charm" to the real snake waiting for all of you to fall victim. This country needs a leader who can stand up to the terriorism in the world and instill values and morals before we all look like the pathetic Clintons. This woman has NO credibility in the world and that is why people like Vincente Fox want her elected President. Wake up America!!!!!
Ok nanrobb, calm down, please! Why all this name-calling? And you talk about "smoke screen?" It seems you and like-minded folks like you must be the ones smoking something and trying to pull some clouded screen over somebody's eyes. It seems that the fact that Hillary is a smart, thoughtful, articulate, intelligent, fiesty and good-looking is really driving people like you CRAZY! Sure Bill Cinton lied about his infidelity but he didn't lie about a war. You talk about Hillary with no credibility? You couldn't even cite one example. have you noticed how bad America's credibility in the world is today? And who caused it? It wasn't Bill or Hillary Clinton, my friend!! I bet you were among the folks that thought Margret Thatcher of Britain was a great leader back in the 80's. That was a WOMAN, if you don't remember. You probably don't remember that! So you might as well get yourself ready for the first American female (WOMAN) President. I believe America is wide awake and know what time it is!!! Stop being in denial, "nanrobb."
I think it's very difficult for women (especially women in politics) to find a center ground emotionally. If they're too emotional, men will snicker and say, "it must be that time of the month. " And if a women doesn't show enough emotion then everyone assumes she must be a heartless b**ch. Why is it that it is perfectly acceptable that the things we praise men for are the things we crucify women for? It's simply unfair.
