MONEY CAN BRING YOU LESS FINANCIAL WORRIES- THEREFORE BRINGING YOU AND YOURS PURE JOY- NOT JUST HAPPINESS. I ALSO FIND THAT THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE MONEY CONSTANTLY DISAGREE WITH THIS. I WANT ENOUGH MONEY TO BE FINANCIALLY STABLE FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY FOR THE REST OF OUR LIFES---THAT, IS IS PURE HAPPINESS!!!!!! PEOPLE WITH MONEY DON'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WITHOUT MONEY. I HAD TO EAT 1 MEAL A DAY IN A HOTEL WHERE I WORKED- IT WAS FREE AND THAT IS ALL I GOT FOR THE DAY-WHEN I TOLD A RICH PERSON THIS, THEY SAID OH I HAD TO PUT MY COLLEGE BOOKS ON A CREDIT CARD ONCE. IT IS NOT THE SAME AT ALL. WE NEED GIVE MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO CAN APPRECIATE IT, CERTAINLY NOT THE RICH PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE IT. MAKE ME HAPPY!!!!

only 5 percent of the united states are millionaires. people who are happy., manage their money well even if they make 30 thousand a year. they are satifsied with what they have.

there were so many gems of wisdom from John Lennon and Yoko Ono when they challenged ideas of materialism and patriotism, that I had a vision of them in their white sheets, in a Toronto bed, being studied and filmed...I live by the ideas generated in that impressionable time of my life and have a rich and meaningful life at $80K . No BS!

we are deluded into thinking that money buys happiness. The reason I want money is so I can take a break from my life as Cinderella. I have worked and worked and worked. and I am wondering if there is an end to all of my housework. Money would buy me a ticket to a cruise where I wouldn't have to clean for just one moment.

THAT'S JUST STUPID! IF I HAD OODLES OF MONEY, I WOULD BE HELPING MORE PEOPLE AND FUNDING MORE CHARITY PROJECTS THAN I CAN NOW AND I WOULD BE DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can rent it for a long while.

Take heed, Republicans. As the Bush administration wiped out overtime pay, he wiped out a large portion of the middle class 'discretionary' income. He also crushed a number of small business owners (raising hands) who depended upon that discretionary income to make a living. Regan began the export of middle class jobs - Bush continued the trend on a massive scale. Middle class America is disappearing - and it aint' because they're getting richer. And they can't figure out why we're unhappy ...

Money affords you freedom. Freedom must make you happy. Freedom of worries. You can pretty much choose who you can love with money, you would think. Health is # 1 but financial freedom comes pretty close providing you're healthy and have a fulfilled life. No person can make you happy, you have to either be or not. Happiness is a state of mind, it comes and goes. Contentment is wonderful. Poverty must be unbearable. So I say money buys you freedom and freedom is what it is all about. You still have worries and money doesn't buy you love but it will enable you to have fun just the same. I say it must make you happier.

I use to say (when I was younger) just give me love. Now that I am older, and have been a single mother for quite a few years, I can honestly say that money DOES buy my happiness!! No money=misery.

I agree with this article. Money does not buy happiness. The answer is making Jesus Christ the first and Family the second priorities in your life. That is what will bring you contentment and happiness no matter how much you earn...

I really appreciate and agree with this article. Money is only important because at present, it is used to establish the value of things that are (in many ways) neccessities of life. But what if you could get your neccessities in abudance without money? Would you still need it? If bananas were used, we would all be after them = going bananas. Contentment, a good budget and avoiding wastefulness, goes a long way.

While money can not buy happiness; Debt can purchase unhappiness, helplessness and a sence of futility.
