We all waste too much time playing phone tag. Now a new voice-mail service can help friends meet up at the mall ("I'm outside the Gap") or parents juggle errands ("Make sure to buy paper towels!"). YouMail ( youmail.com ), which is free until the site officially launches early next year, lets cell users record custom greetings for everyone in their phone book. You can also manage all your greetings and incoming messages online, e-mail voicemail messages to friends and save your favorites as audio files on your desktop. Best of all, a feature called Ditchmail automatically hangs up on unwanted repeat callers--but not before playing a custom greeting. (We'll leave that one to the imagination.)
