Exactly; too bad housing prices are through the roof now... Sure you could live with roommates, but trying to get a place yourself is ridiculous. I would rather give my parents some rent money then pay other people a ridiculous amount of money..While trying to pay off loans, a car, etc. The wages are too low for the housing... Thats not jstu the case for 20's People who have families and both parents work full time jobs are being forced to fore close on their house... Clearly there is another problem.

The author of this article is ridiculous. I am 22 and I have so many friends that our out doing more than some older 30 year olds. I have been an Internet Manager at Toyota Marin and now I am an Account Manager for Benefaction Insurance. Whoever wrote this article needs to grow up.

What about us "20 somethings" who are trying to make it on our own but are working for greedy boomers? I don't want help from my parents. I want them to use their money for a retirement fun and go off in their golden years and have a blast. They've worked hard and deserve those things. I want a savings account and to afford my bills and loan payments but my greedy boss would rather vacation in France and buy the latest iphone than pay me a little more for the hard work that I am doing to help her make more money. Funny thing is, I only need to make about 32k a year to cover my bills and loans but somehow with a college degree I cannot seem to find a job where I have enough "experience" to make that money so I settled. Maybe the definition of "generation me" needs to be changed to include the boomers who would rather pay out beans and rake in the dough for themselves rather than reward their workers with compensation that they can actually use to live.

I quit reading Jean Twenge's last book about "Generation Me" about 3 chapters in because she did nothing but complain about the current generation without saying anything new or interesting. She came across as a bitter 30-something iwith a grudge against the next generation nstead of an intelligent researcher with a valid argument. It was a shame because I find the topic interesting and I was hoping to gain some insight.
