What General McChrystal has done, is known only to his superiors, associates, and to God, so I do not think the previous poster has the facts at his disposal to judge him. Nevertheless, he does. It is an attitude that is all too pervasive today in some circles, who would choose to decry Americans for their actions in protecting us in wartime. No doubt, had we fought WWII with this attitude, we would've lost far more than just a war. I for one would like to thank General McChrystal for his service, which is continued in Afghanistan as a full four-star general.

I felt my need to say that so strongly (on chancing on this article), that I post my views several years after it was published and commented on.

What he described is the General who commits war and peace time crimes. The man should be put in prison. People are innocent until proven guilty but this man commits murder. No wonder America is the most hated nation on earth. This is NOT something to be proud of, it's something we need to stop. This isn't the movies, people, this is out right criminal murder by all international and civil laws. Shame on America and shame on us for tolerating this kind of actions.
