Back in the World

Today, Dodd owns 3D Global Solutions, an executive-search and placement firm specializing in physical and technological security. He hires a lot of vets because "they don't need a lot of micromanaging." In his spare time, he visits military bases and explains how to translate a military career into the civilian world. "A lot of guys getting out are afraid to commit to a company," Dodd says. He explains to them that unlike in the military, if they don't like it, they can quit.
