    really feel sorry for all the good, wholesome priests in the world (who outnumber the bad). They are the ones who suffer for these guys' faux pas (as a lapsedCatholic, I hesitate to say sins, it brings me back to my parochial school childhood). I guess my point is that so many priests are real men of faith, and wish to help others selflessly, so let's not forget them as we grow angry with the few that ruin their reputation.

    I think this is nothing more than a witch hunt and they are only attacking the catholic church. why dont we
    hear about the gay babtists priests who molest little boys and girls and any other religeon for that matter.
    only because the Catholic church is one of the oldest and largest christian community in the world. Others
    are always out to discredit them to get more people to go thier way. when really they are just a bunch of hypocrits

    So if they know the priests are gay...and being gay is a problem to the Catholic Church...then why are they not just excommunicated from the church to prevent this behavior's embarrassment to the church??? DUH!

    Oh, Virginia, there IS no Santa Claus! Yes, people are born homosexual, although there are cases where people CHOOSE to be homosexual because they feel more comfortable being with the same sex. Also, not every one believes the Bible is God's word, so that has no effect on some gays, although providing a huge (and unneeded) guilt trip among Christian gays. Biological makeup is a fact; God is not. Please get yours facts straight before claiming it as a "self-fulfilling desire". People do not ask to be persecuted against, but to practice their orientation as I am sure you do yours.

    I had a long running discussion on Elton John's website about this gay BS. Most of those who replied me (with so much ferocity, I might add) commented that gay-ism has more to do with the genes than free will. Many pro-gay people take this gene story as justification for homosexuality. These same pro-gay people get scandalized at 'gay priests'...instead of UNDERSTANDING that it is in the priest's genes!!!! This is a gross double standard!!!!!!!!!! THIS HARASSMENT OF PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS OVER SEXUALITY IS REALLY GETTING DISGUSTING. Besides, those that do the harassment are worse, much worse.......     It should be no surprise to anyone that an official of the Roman Catholic behaves this way. The Roman Catholic Church, an organized religion, that has its hands in every polictical arena and driving the New World Order to center stage from behind the scenes. This organization along with the world bankers have been involved in every major conflict around the world since the came into existence. Thier goal is to be the Head Church when the New World Order is implemented (currently disguised as the European Union, African Union, South Asia Union, and working on the North American Union). Why do you see the U.S. Presidents and other world leaders kissing the Pope's Ring ? Its because they know who's in control of the world and the political activities. Trust me, the Catholic church, as a whole, is not weathly and powerful by being good saints and priests. They have stolen treasures from Native Americans in the America's with the help of the King and Queen's soldiers. At the core of this church is strictly business to control and manipulate countries and its people who willing buy into their organized religion. But, there are few members of this organized religion who have good intentions to help people and follow God's teachings. Do your own research at Google, lookup the following: the Vatican Assassins, and the Black Pope.

    All of us are sinners, no one is perfect not even priests! Is your preacher, minister, rabaii or whatever your religious leader called perfect and without sin. Because they are Catholic priests, you expect them to apparently be without sin! My priest is the first to admit he's a sinner, but it's not my duty to hear his confession what those sins are. They are many leaders of God who have gone astray for whatever reason, marital infedelity, theft, pedofilia just to name a few. Does society carry on the same way about them? It doesn't appear so to me. Granted the church may be going around handling this the wrong way and I feel and pray for those affected by the ill behavior of these priests, but rather than bashing them with name calling why don't you do the Christian thing and pray for them!

      I realize that no one is perfect, but these priests are committing sins against babies and children. Yes we pray for them, but shouldn't they receive the same punishment as if they raped your child? And I don't believe that all Catholic priests are gay. The ones that pursue children are pedofiles. They are not gay. It is a big difference.

      I was under the impression you were born a homosexual. The gay priests need to find a place other than a hetersexual church to do their deeds.STAY AWAY FROM OUR INNOCENT CHILDREN.Maybe a prison church is for you guys.

        No one is born gay. It is a self fullfilling desire. God's book says it is wrong and IT IS WRONG. True Christians pray for those "gay's" that they will be corrected by God in time for them to save their souls.

    If the Catholic church wants to continue to place itself in these types of situations, they can continue to adhere to the "no sex for priests" tenet. One line in the Bible has caused so many people to be abused and nothing but deviant behavior from priests. GET A CLUE--its natural and God given to have sex. Your body needs it and your soul needs this level of self-expression IN ADDITION to the devotion to God. No one has any respect anymor for the Catholic church, and they brought it on themselves.

    Enough already just because a preist is gay doesnot make him a petafile. Please don't take this the wrong way if anyone gay, stratight, clergy, or just a lay person. Petafiles should be prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law. Our children are too precious. How ever the media, and liberals would have you believe that all roman catholic priests are evil. I'm sorry thats not true. I have had the honor of knowing many preists during my life time all of which have alway lived up to the highest standards of the catholic church these men should be congratulated for their outstanding work

      Joe my mom work in the Catholic Church over 20years. She knew when one of her bosses were different. I grew up around priests my whole life. And I know what you are saying. She loved them all. Even after they died of AIDS or some are in jail on sex charges. She has passed onbut she still attended church.

    We are all humans we are not mortals. Man is making the rules for other man that is not right. Men and women are made on this earth because of a reason the marry and reproduce the human race not man to man and women to women. The catholics fate has their own rules and priests who are going into the preisthood should know what they are doing. This is your body and life not the Catholics that is just something that was sprung up and men made their own rules.

      first of all, Naiomi, it's "Faith", not "fate"...secondly, Any devout Catholic can show you that the Church does indeed follow scripture and that there are no "made up" rules and laws. That's just another bunch of BS from the anti-Catholic zealots.

    The Catholic church like all organized religion manipulates the words of the bible to fit its needs. The mistake (yes I said mistake) that was made by the men who wrote the bible is they left way too much open for interpretation. The bible is not even written in chronological order. There are many different iversions of the bible as well. If we really look at religion and the role it plays in history I truly believe we would probably abandon religion altogether. Organized religion is the cause of death and war throughout history all in the name of God. As far as the comment of associating pedophilia with homosexuality I dont believe anyone is asssociating them with one another. The only connection between the two is the Catholic church. If you want to be a Homosexual go ahead and be one. No one is stopping you. Just stay out of any church that doesnt accept or condone homosexuality. If you dont believe in the Bible than dont belong to a religion that follows the bible. I dont force my lifestyle on anyone and I dont expect to have anyones lifestyle forced on me.
