Double-check the accuracy of one of the questions in this otherwise engaging quiz. The trivia section of IMDB under "The Manchurian Candidate" correctly states that that movie was in fact, NOT pulled following the shooting of JFK, in 1963. This is a persistent legend, fueled only by its own existence, and contradicted only by the historical facts. Following its full run at movie theaters, "The Manchurian Candidate" turned up twice on the national television networks, by 1965; and continued in wide circulation for nearly a decade, whereupon Frank Sinatra gained distribution rights to the film. IMDB reminds us that only then did the film cease to be distributed effectively.

...and little furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real little furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.

I also agree on the Bond comments. Never Say Never Again was just a bad remake of Thunderball, and is not included in the Bond canon.

Sean Connery only starred in six REAL James Bond films. Never Say Never Again isn't considered among the continuity. His only actualy James Bond films were: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and Diamonds are Forever. It's a shame that you included this imposter.

I totally enjoyed your article. I too am a constant movie goer, the same age as D. anson and have seen most of the movies you mentioned and a few you did not. I miss all those great movies. When I was a teenager I used to watch a program on Saturday Nights, "the Fabulous 52" That is where I got to see all the great thirties and fourties movies. I still watch TCM because back then the women were women and the men were men.
