Eleanor, I'm surprised at you. You should know better than making this statement: "Lieberman himself is scorned by Democrats for adding the 'Independent' label to his Democratic Party registration."

As a CT Democrat, I can tell you Lieberman was scorned by Democrats BEFORE he added "independent" to his party label. That's why Lieberman *lost* the Democratic primary to Ned Lamont! Now, Joe is scorned even more for "adding" the label "Democrat" to his party registration. We Democrats in Connecticut told Joe we don't want him anymore. He's like that annoying guy at the party who ... just ... won't ... ever ... leave.

Hopefully in 2009 Democrats will have a larger majority in the Senate, Russ Feingold will be Senate Majority Leader, and Joe will be denied the committee chairmanships he desires.

I never realized ole Joe was such a reactionary! He is obviously not doing a good job of representing those in his state, and I for one can't wait to be rid of him in the Senate. Like most Republicans he is a thorn in the hide of progress!

The former Teheran mayor who was the mastermind of the American Embassy compound takeover of Embassy career diplomats in 1979 for 444 days and was rewarded with the presidency of Iran has called the Holocaust of Nazi extermination of six million Jews in Aushwitz and Triblinka a myth. Perhaps, he might create a holocaust of his own once Iran has acquired the nuclear bomb. From RoyNunoo@yahoo.com
