Myspace censored an ad against media consolidation. I refuse to support Myspace. http://www.commoncause.org/NoMoreConsolidation

Myspace is evil. They censor ads by not allowing this ad on their site: http://www.commoncause.org/NoMoreConsolidation

I had both but I finally had to cancel my MySpace account due to lack of security...someone repeatedly broke into my account despite frequent password changes. Facebook may be "geeky" (...according to whose standard?) but in my opinion, it's a lot more fun, easier to connect with people, and it doesn't take ten minutes for the pages to load!!!

Man, why didn't I think of myspace. I could be making like, a kabillion dollars... :(

myspace is fox news. i stopped paying attention after newcorp bought it.

That last sentence is spot-on. Myspace is great for the music scene, but otherwise it's just annoying with the bothersome ads on every page and frequent appearance of spam and hackers. Facebook has a cleaner look, and the interface is much more functional. I've had a MySpace for around 3-4 years, and just signed up for Facebook last April. Since then, I use Facebook much more than MySpace.

Facebook is more about keeping in touch with friends and seeing what everyone is doing. Myspace on the other hand is a little more trashy in my opinion. When i first started using both programs, older, weird guys would write me all the time on Myspace, but facebook was more about keeping in touch with my close college friends. Although both websites have branched out, most of my friends use facebook much more often. I also can see what people are up to so much better on facebook.

Facebook is way classier than Myspace will ever be.

This is a load of crap. Facebook has a better reputation than Myspace by far. Facebook is so much cleaner and you can do what you came to do, connect with people, instead of getting spammed, hit on by random people, constantly contacted by solicitors, and having tons of media thrown at you constantly. What does all this music/media stuff have to do with a site that is trying to help you connect to college and high school friends, people far away etc.? I think they're fine separate. Personally, I know that the college crowd/ twenty-somethings think Facebook is a lot classier.

Who really cares? Why does it matter? I have a myspace and a facebook, for different reasons. I frequent myspace more, but I use facebook to keep in touch with people I never see who don't have myspace. I use myspace mostly for keeping in touch with family..but really, I don't see why there's so much hype about either one..

MySpace is for 16 year old girls and 30 year old blue collars who like to oogle at pictures of them. I'm sick of being friend requested by random bands and DJs and NO I DO NOT WANT TO CLICK ON THE SUMO WRESTLER TO WIN A FREE IPOD!!!

    facebookers unite!!!

Facebook easily beats out MySpace. MySpace is for pervs, not to mention with all the automatically playing music/slideshows/videos it can take up to 15 minutes or longer for some people's pages to load. Facebook is for smart people who want to re-connect with friends. I'd be lost without Facebbok, but not so lost as to go open a MySpace account.
