I would use "Hollywood" MySpace with no problem except that the spam controls are so loose. I have my restrictions set on high and still people get through. Facebook accused ME of spamming, their security is so tight. That appeals to me. Everything else is a wash.

I live in the Silicon Valley, and I hate facebook. I have used Myspace for almost 3 years, and would never use something else.

I absolutely love the comparisons used in this article!

    *MySpace = Hollywood/ Glam
    *FaceBook = Silicon Valley/ Geek

I have accounts on both sites but I prefer MySpace, despite what my old High School friends prefer [FaceBook]... MySpace allows users to be more CREATIVE with their pages and provides a range of media services. FaceBook seems dull, and to "add" any of its "Applications", users must agree to "share" their personal information with the third-parties who created the widgets; as a result, I refuse to "add" any "Applications" to my page, no matter how many of my friends "request" that I join them. MySpace is MUCH more exciting!

MySpace allows users to be more CREATIVE with their pages and provides a range of media services. FaceBook seems dull, and I haven't "added" any of the "Applications" due to the disclaimer stating that users must give up rights to their personal information [for the company providing the widget]. MySpace is MUCH more exciting!

I barely use myspace. I get tired of random people trying to flirt based on my pictures without reading a thing about me. Though a private profile is possible, who wants to make it extremely difficult for friends to contact me? Just give me Facebook, I talk to friends that I haven't seen since childhood without the nonsense. Bonus: I don't have to change my password constantly because of schemers trolling Facebook.

If being a subliterate troglodyte is "cool" then MySpace will definitely win.
