This war is unjust from the beginning. The idea of winning something involving the U.S. invasion, occupation and the killing of people who are defending their country is wicked, and we deserve whatever we receive becasue we are wicked and sinister in how we make up lies to invade countries because we want to control their natural resources. We don't give a damn about democracy or the people, if we did, then we would be taking care of democracy and the people right here at home. What if this country was being occupied and troops were constantly driving down the streets armed and ready to kill at the drop of a shoe. What if they hunted for George Bush and hung him and killed everyone or jailed every one in the white house, then, we went out in the streets to defend the constitution and we were shot dead, because we would be considered insurgents, and rounded up and tortured with no due process, and shipped to Iran as enemy combatants, meanwhile, the Iraqi occupation soldiers made their head quarters in the white house, with armed patrols, kicking in your doors, searching your homes, rounding up the men or killing everyone in the house, or raping your daughters, because this is war and who ever is in the way in America will be killed, not to mention, what if they hired Al Quaeda as contractors to protect Bin Laden and he stepped out his limo to create a new government for the American people? Huh, Hudh.....!?

This is what happens when we let our goverment convince us to invade another country and tell us we will be greeted as liberators. Our soldiers were hit by an IED and one soldier was killed. Not knowing who or where the IED came from the Marines did what they had to do to defend themselves. Did they overreact? How can anyone say, it's a complicated and confusing situation. Our troops are doing the best possible job they can when you consider the conditions that they are working in. How can any American soldier in Iraq tell the difference between a good guy and a bad one. When you start a war death and destruction is what you get and to charge a soldier for murder makes about as much sense as charging a driver for speeding at the Daytona 500. A terrible responsibility rests with this administration for starting this unholy war and if anyone should be charged for murder it should start with them.

This is what happens when you invade a foreign country and are not greeted as liberators. Only the Marines and the dead Iraqi's know for sure what happened here. Our troops are doing the best possible job when you consider the conditions that they are working in. How can any American soldier in Iraq know a good guy from a bad one? What we do know is that our soldiers were hit by an IED and one soldier was killed. I think the Marines acted in self defense not knowing who or where they were being attacked from. It's a complicated and confusing situation and to charge these Marines for murder is wrong. We are awash in a sea of blood with no end in sight thanks to the poor planning by our President and his administration. A terrible responsibility rests with the people that started this unholy war and they should be the ones put on trial not the soldiers who only want to make it home alive.

I think it absolutely absurd to put our soldiers on trial for ANYTHING in this goofy, which one is the bad guy, war. War is about winning. Otherwise dont go. To win, it is necessary to kill the enemy. If the enemy hides behind civilians or the civilians give them refuge, then they too, must die. It may sound harsh. I certainly dont condone the killing of innocents, but I greatly resent sending our troops into a hostile zone, then charging them with a crime for doing what they are hired to do. It was the same way in Vietnam. If you want our troops to fight and win, leave them the hell alone and let them do what they are trained to do. Take the gloves off, and let them fight! You bureaucrats that dont even have kids in this conflict should be the last ones to say a thing. Find out who is stealing all the money going into Iraq. Do something useful!!!!

How very interesting these Marines were thrown under the bus by their very own, (Murtha), as murderers and butchers. Now as things move along charges are being dropped left and right after people that weren't there had them convicted for things they hadn't done. Was everything perfect in this case? No of course not some people may have died that didn't need to but did these Marines go on some killing rampage like the press and reps made it seem? NO. Amazing how so many people jump to conclusion. You can't tell enemy from friend in Iraq, mistakes can happen but finding people guilty before a trial is bad on those that chose to go that way.

OOrah boys - show those lawyers and officers that they cant apply logic to an insane situation and that all rules sometimes have an exception and that dealing with the Iraqis is like pushing a boulder uphill. Just try to get a Writ of Habeas Corpus on an Iraqi. They also need to verify that the Rules of Engagement jive with the SOP training that you recieve!!!

War is War, nothing less, nothing more... We should be giving these Marines a medal, not prosecuting them for a crime. These men and women are risking their lives over there, some of our own have lost their life through "friendly fire", so what about the other side. If your in a country thats run by tyrants and around every corner is someone (mabye even a woman, a child) with an AK-47.. EXPECT SOME CASUALITIES!!!
