I am of the strong opinion that the contents of this article are purely based upon disinformation and biasness on the part of the researchers. At the moment Pakistan is facing terrorism on its soil and our people are being killed.
We are the target of those agencies who do not want a stable Pakistan, to meet their own designs in the region. So far as the current incident (Karachi blasts) are concerned I am sure that it was all pre planned and Benazir Bhutto is planted again with a foreign agenda which will further destabilize our country and worsens the political and economic circumstances.

Get Pakistan in order and let justice prevail for all Pakistanis regardless of their religion. Treat your minorites well and most of the internal problems will solve over time.
But do not muddy the truth by pining the blame on Newsweek's editor Fareed Zakaria or citing the deputy Justice of the Pakistan Supreme Court as an example of Hindus having a equitable role in society. The paper said: ???An HRCP release issued here on Wednesday stated that according to newspaper reports 19 girls mostly from Punjab Colony were missing from their homes. Relatives of these young girls had reasons to believe that they had been kidnapped and being forced to change their religion, the press release added.
Although the commission urged the government to take action, nothing was heard further on the issue. A column by Dawn???s Irfan Husain followed in December 2006 in which he cites his own investigations on the growing problem and urged the Pakistani government to take action. Yet no justice so far.

The recent article about Pakistan seems to me a proxy media war by Pakistan's traditional foe India to malign Pakistan with the help of Paid lobbying firms but also going one step ahead to paid services by US media. I am doing my business in Pakistan since 1979 and firmly beleives that every terror acitivities started only after soviet invasion to Afghanistan and CIA biggest funded Jihad which brought all such people espacially middle east. The USA paid the side effect of such adventurism by those foreigners Afghan war fighter in shape of 9/11. But Pakistan paid the worst price by its army dictators blind support to USA against USSR. Any democratic government would never accept dictation from washington which resulted in much prosperity for its people and I am confident that since the judiciary has challenged the army usa backed power hungry generals, the new democratic system will give this country great stability and will disprove the paid media negative compaign. Pakistan needs to maintain equal relations with its neigbours China, Russia and never commit mistake using its soil first in 80's against USSR and now accepting USA pressure not to establish road links from its Gawadar port to western China which can bring great prosperity for its people. Benazir Bhutto and Musharraf are the puppets of washington and washington interference in Pakistan's internal affairs is all time high and so its media.

SURPRISED TO FIND NO RELEVENCE OF THE COVER TITLE TO THE MAIN STORY. ONE HARDLY FINDS ANY COMPARISONS WITH IRAQ IRAQ. SAD TO SEE NEWSWEEK TURN INTO ANOTHER TABLOID - CATCHY HEADLINES BUT DEVOID OF CONTENT

We have seen the previous regimes of Nawaz Shariff and Benazir Bhutto both being more concerned with filling their coffers than doing anything for the economy and welfare of the nation. Musharaff has brought stability to Pakistan but we can onlly progress with a fair election and new young people in the parliment.who can work to generate a strong economy and solving the problems prevailing at present in Pakistan. As such, I most sincerely expect that foreign media can help a lot towards this noble cause.

People didn't know about Pakistan very well untill NOW??? I am so ashamed of my own country. President Musharaf is the best president that I have ever hearn and seen since I was little. I always said to everyone here that" I am proud to be Pakistani" I guess not any more.Now I am a 20 year old young lady and I don't like people talking and giving me some sort of comments on this country. From Now own, I would definatley say that "I am so glad that I am not in Pakistan any more". I have read the whole article and I do not agree with its contents. There is a lot of difference between writers who write stories with out having ground realities and those who narrate their stories while sitting across the border.

I am confident that views expressed in this cover story are not the views of US government. If we go and look the history of terrorism in Pakistan, it was sponsored by the then US government to defeat the Russian forces in Afghanistan. Pakistan is an old ally of US government and therefore took the help of US government to wage a war against Russian government.

Consequently, Russians forces were defeated and left Afghanistan. US government won the proxy war fought by the Mujahideen of Pakistan in Afghanistan. Osama Bin Laden was one of commanders of Mujahideen and fought the war till the end with the support of the then US government.

Pakistan paid a heavy price for fighting US war in Afghanistan to defeat Russian forces. After 9/11 attacks, US made responsible Osama Bin Laden for the attacks on Pentagon and the World Trade Centre.

Since then, Pakistan is fighting war on terror for US government against Osama Bin Laden and his accomplices. Hundred of thousands of people have been killed so far by the terrorists in all major cities of Pakistan which also include security personnel.

Government of Pakistan has handed over hundreds Al-Qaeda activists to US government. The prevailing situation in Pakistan is not because that it is the most dangerous nation on the earth. The fact is that the gift of terrorism in Pakistan is given to people of Pakistan by the US government.

The ground reality is that at the time when NEWSWEEK published its cover story about Pakistan, on the same day the US Ambassador to Pakistan Ms. Anne W. Patterson came from Islamabad to Karachi and met with Benazir Bhutto at Bilawal House. She then went to the offices of several newspapers. Yesterday, America Ambassador went to meet the Chief Minister of Punjab in his Lahore office.

Had the situation been critical as described in NEWSWEEK in the cover story, how come the US Ambassador met with Banazir Bhutto, went to meet the editorial staff of several newspapers and staff of GEO TV station in Karachi. Yesterday she went to meet with the Chief Minister of Punjab.

The news of the visit of American Ambassador is published in all the leading newspapers of Pakistan. I would like to mention here that there is nothing special happening in Pakistan and Pakistani nation is not at all the most dangerous nation on the earth but the fact remains that NEWSWEEK editor(s) should try to find out and narrate the true story that who is the most dangerous man and which country in the most dangerous country on the world map?

Dear Editor,

I was really shocking to read that writer has tried to prove Pakistan a country which is worst than Iraq. That six page article never proves your title page story. The writers of this article may have knowledge about recent terrorist events in Pakistan and they accused the whole country in such a bad way. We all Pakistanis condemn this approach. The day when article was published, American Ambassador was moving freely in Karachi like any Pakistani citizen without any security threat to her life.

Why don???t you give a lead News saying ???Pakistan Under Attack???, like once it was ???USA under attack??? after 9/11. Because it is result of being the front line allies with the USA in the war against terrorism. Why don???t you try to prove that all ammunition used by the ???Talibaans??? (the then Mujahideens) was provided by the USA to fight against USSR? Don???t you know that USA is most dangerous country who has records to kill people in Japan, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and soon Iran.

In the end I would like to accentuate once again that If Pakistan is going through such difficult times it is only for being partner of America, otherwise all these ???Islamists??? were living in Pakistan since generations with peace, still it remains a question ???who armed them ????. There is still no proof, that militants attack on Benazir Bhutto. secondly Govt. of Pakistan is struggling to safe the world as playing her role. The incidence happen any where in the world. Last year people not forget the incedence of fire in the train that burnt hundred Pakistani in Indian side, few years back people in Indian state Gujrat murdered openly, so therefore please be a responsible media donot hurt the emotions of Pakistanis , Thanks

as far as the steak and pork is concerned, i prefer to have my steak well done, and as far as the pork is concerned, you see i cant eat an animal i cant look at, so i dont eat it like majority of sea food that i dont eat like crab, squid, lobster and so on. i prefer to stick to fish and beef and my fav chicken :)
