how can i trust what ever i read in that report as i have been seeing young Talibs(students) going from one house to another to collect their dinner in am small bucket.i can't believe that those poor taliban can achieve so much knowledge abt tecnology without an western support.Pakistan is a very poor country if it had that much resources it would have made it own F-18 rather than waiting for american give them used F-16.

The majority of comments from the pakistanis, with some exceptions, are disturbing (and some are just plain scary)- many, but not all, seem to react completely emotionally, and to be unable to critically examine their own country without taking responsibilty for the failings of their own country (regardless of whether the newsweek article has given a skewed picture - I think the article does lack some balance but may be right on the central point). That alone reflects badly for everyone's future, as we all have a stake in this country's development into a moderate state - whether we want to or not.
and for the few indians or indian-americans (and I am one) who comment, most of those comments also lack objectivity, are emotonal (sometimes vitriolic) and there is obviously too much schadenfreuede on their part - such comments only serve to encourage the pakistanis into a more insecure and defensive mode of thinking.

What America is doing is trying to save the world from potential spread of suicide terror bombings. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is the price that we must pay to curb the terrorism and for the survival of the rest of the humanity.
U.S. is not reactive, she is proactive. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! U.S. has foreseen what is being trained and established in the Islamic countries. I feel traumatized after reading the reckless, preferentially treated report by such a credible magazine. I would like to request the editor of the magazine to come up with the statistics that prove we Pakistanis are the most dangerous in the world which I dont see in the report printed otherwise apologize.
I have lived most of my life in Karachi but I never felt that its the city of most dangerous country in the world and I should be scared of going out. Infact when I was in London on holidays and there was bombing I was scared. Have you forgotten 9/11? why isnt US the most dangerous country in the world, they had attacks!!! Not just that, Americans are themselves attacking every other country with there forces in the name of nuclear weapons.
