Why can't America stop meddling in other countries internal affairs?
When will the American nation wake up to the realize that all this hype surrounding terrorism is in-fact a ploy by their politicians to skirt important issues like declining economy of USA, increasing influence of Israel/Jews in American establishments and all the mystery surrounding Bush family's interest in oil industry?
When will the American media realize, their so-called journalistic research is rapidly reducing to conspiracy churning??? and it is giving rise to nothing but more misunderstandings and taking us farther away from truth?
Currently even the educated and liberal Pakistani's are aggravated and threatened by these tactics and waking up to smell the *** brewed up by Americans, therefore bringing back to life a corrupt, mentally-derailed and convicted politician won't help much.

Dude, i think you are making a hasty generalization. Just because that bombing took place in Karachi doesnt mean that the whole nation is dangerous. As I speak, there are international bodies doing businesses, recreational trips, sports etc. in various parts of the country.

As the saying goes 'With freedom comes responsibility' :)

i think it is time for americans to wake up and realize the truth not that we are here to restore order to the world, but instead look within ourselves and realize that we are failing. We need to Unite. Now is not the time for petty differences. our country is so far seperated and I don't know if anyone realizes how much we have grown apart as a nation. The politicians have made it seem like we are at total differences, but instead we just need a true leader. Jihad is not a real threat. We nedd to crush this jihad for our own sake and our own survival. Please hear me brothers for i not lie, WE MUST UNITE NOW.

To set the records straight, it was the Prophet Muhammad fourteen hundred years ago who united Muslims and in sub-continent it was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who united the Muslims and hailed them as a separate nation. Quaid-e-Azam, on the other hand achieved Pakistan through a ???democratic??? process that Americans consider so much to be their exclusive domain. It seems to me that democracy stops working for you if it works in Palestine or as in our case, for the creation of a Muslim homeland. Besides please don???t create fake reasons for yourself; you really don???t need that to sway your population against any Muslim country. Just go ahead and attack all those who do not comply with your life styles. At least, then you will not seem the pathetic loser nation that you are!

so atrocious...so arrogant...so american. you seem to have amnesia as you can't recall who originally funded these people who are now "terrorizing" you. you call yourselves developed, you can't even talk about our founding father with respect and if manners and courtesy is the price of development, then you are welcome to it. i'm sure i'll be labelled as pro-jihadi but have you ever thought that its your own attitude that pushes us away and rises our hackles...of course not because u DON'T think!

i dont believe the attack was carried out by islamists. it was carried out by politicians, who used it as a publicity stunt, ten points for guessing who has gained the most votes from this episode.

Readers want to know why, when Israel has had hundreds of such bombings, is full of militants from the twelve tribes, an unstable nuclear armed nation, does Mr. Hirsch not use such inflammatory languge, and characterize Israel as a "Most Dangerous Nation" The author Michael Hirsch must be a jewish extremist with a reckless disregard for the truth.

must be a muslim extremist with a disregard for truth. obviously doesn' t realize that there couldn't be twelve tribes in israel since ten tribes were lost iand taken away to the present day iraq ,iran area by counquering armies, hence the people living in those areas are intermixed probably with descendant of jews?. liucky them.

extremists can never be allowed to have their finger on a nuclear trigger. the newsweek article if wriiten 40 years ago could have been written about the soviet union or china. however these countries had leaders that weren't religious fanatics that believed that there mortality was the currency of change for the better.

Pakistan does not need political devils like Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. These criminals have looted Pakistan to the point of complete bankruptcy in the past and now that Pakistan has a pulse again these vampires are lining up to suck the blood again. The show of support for Benazir was due to their team hiring people from Sindh and Punjab at Rs 500/day plus food. With unemployment in the rural areas poor men and women fell victim to this. Let the international community not kid themselves that she has any moral or political value in Pakistan. She is just the daughter of the egotistical dictator who was responsible for another great tragedey in the history of Pakistan - The separation of East and West Pakistan. If the international community wants Pakistan to remain a true ally in the international war on terrorism then all such bogus pretenders should not be given any time of the day to cause any distractions.

The recent political unrest in Pakistan is not new thing. It certainly was not proper for Mrs. Bhutto to return home with the full knowledge about her insecurity. Bhutto, being an intelligent and learned person, is probably well aware that this is a mammoth task to tackle the multi-problems facing her country. I personally believe, no stability and peace would take place in Pakistan even in hundred years. Pakistani people are suffering because of the poor and irresponsible political leadership in the country. Pakistan has been involved in terrorism for years and it is sad to say that it is now paying the price. The current event may be a threat to world peace or at least in the region.

Curious that those countries harboring the most-radical fringes of the Islamists have so little light to bring to the world; they work only to bring a new dark age. Whatever country comes closest to truly threatening the survival of Israel or America is not likely to be allowed to survive ititself.

"the country's whisky-swilling founder, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, used Islam to forge "

The author is entitled to an opinion but should be careful that some stuff can be offensive...

Isn't it funny, Benazir Bhutto was well aware of the danger she was facing during the rally. There were reports in the media that she was requested to take a helicopter ride to whereever she wanted to go, but she ignored that request and instead took the rally instead, in a truck. Just moments before the explosion happened, she went inside the truck from its roof, the truck was intentionally made to be bomb proof, specially for this kind of attacks. She was always supposed to be safe in the truck and she was just playing with the lives of thousands of people gathered to welcome her! Now that's a betrayal of trust and a mean politican hungry of power and oblivious to the value of human life. This is the nature of Pakistani politics!

I completely agree with mr atif zain. I think finally someone has reached out to all the people who have been commenting a lot on this article. The truth is that each country in the world has their flaws. But these flaws may not be in the people of the country itself. But, because these countries fate are decided by leaders at the helm of affairs there is a chance that the image of the country gets tarnished. There is no one leader in any country who has the support of 100 percent of masses. Let us hope for the best. Regards, (http://pakcentric.blogspot.com)
