The enemy of pakistan should be rejoice now that what sown by the USA,SAuDIA and PAKISTANI establishment in 1980 now they are bringing fruit. The seed was violence in the name of jihad now what fruit is violence in the name of terrorism.

Article is laced with self knitted assumptions and media hype that is typical of such writers trying to make headlines and gain cheap publicity.
Unfortunately world tends to turn a blind eye to most dangerous state in the world i.e., USA simply because its too poewrful and would eliminate any such truth that surfaces. USA sponsors terrorism all across the world to achieve its objectives. Countless examples are spread few of which are Weapon of mass destruction in Iraq (which are yet to be found and even after acknowledging the mistake openly they dont back out nobody knows why?), Afghanistan occupation for Osama bin laden whereas there is no intelligent evidence to back it up to date.

Being a democratic person who chooses to see both sides of an argument, I would like to find out more about why "jihad" happened in the first place to get an understanding of why islamic extremists are doing just that, going to the extreme. They seem to want to protect their families according to the article, so they aren't without some level of conscience, I would like to take some time to get to the root of what happened to trigger global dissent. It's funny "jihad" and "yahad" the hebrew term for unity, are so closely related. What has created this mass schizm?? Why are muslims now seeking a united front with Christianity? It sounds more like the globe is launching a war between the rignts of Church and State, more than religious differences between each other, and the State is trying to take jabs at all the religions, so that they all blame each other, and attack one another, when the one they really hate and object to is the State???? My hypothesis could be wrong, but given the news as of late, this is what I surmise......apparently the world's religions want to unite, and if they do that, will they support the State??? It appears that the governments are oppressing religious freedoms rather than allowing celebration of them, and denying rights to its people, and that this is causing a backlash around the world, and causing so much hate that the religious are now going to extremes to fight back, and once gentle people are getting sick of being pushed around and religiously oppressed to the point where they have no choice but to fight back and dissent. Who will find the happy medium????They will need to find someone who is respected by all sides of the argument as mediator, but one who doesn't lean allegiance toward one religious group, or one particular nation, or the other to enter in as peacemaker for all...........thank you for allowing my opinion....Stephanie-skd500

skd500, "why did Jihad happen in the first place?" Study the Koran and the just as authoritative accounts of Muhammed's life, the Hadiths. Where do you think current Muslims get the idea of beheading their enemies? From Muhammed! Who did it and is considered the perfect Muslim - the example all other Muslims are to emulate. You say Muslims were "once gentle people"? Study the history of Islam. How did Islam grow? It grows by the sword according to the Koran and Muhammed's own example. The politically correct lie that Islam is a religion of peace is probably the greatest deception and the greatest danger to the world today. Muslim leaders will lie and deceive a sleeping world until they have the world under their political, social, and religious control. Please everyone, check out the facts on Islam.

There isn't a "most dangerous country" because we are all in danger from the corruption, terror, and death that has errupted all over the world. No one is safe anymore. No one can pretend to be innocent either. And it will never stop. There are too many angry, blood-thirsty, ignorant people in the world, that sadly enough have risen to levels of great power. When this ends, it will only be because we are all dead.

An inevitable comparison with India is the order of the day, in these trying times for Pakistan.A religion -obsessed,backward- looking country stands in stark contrast to a progressive India.

The most dangerous country in the world is the United States, by far.
Who else would teach a country not to use nuclear weapons by dropping
nuclear weapons on them (killing thousands or tens of thousands of
    innocent people)?

  • Posted By: hayat13 @ 10/22/2007 12:46:09 AM

okay, now it is time to see the real facts.firstly everybody can smell strong enemity and jealousy in this article.it is perfectly alright, when you are a muslim country, a nuclear powerand a threat to all terrorists it happens.and the terrorists are all who are scared of muslims and trying to take over the muslim world by just putting false blames on them and with that attacking them, killing innocent people and destroying their countries. so sad and so bad ,you do not have any manners without permission you are entering someone's house. your family and religion have taught u all this?NO no religion gives this type of teachings. it all depends on people and their nature.as muslim we respect all religions and humanity. we have so much patience too.but any sensible human being can see that this world is pushing their limits of tolerence and patience by socialy, religiously, emotinly and piliticly attacking them. why only innocent and confined muslim countries are being attacked nowadays .before that these countries were nothing to do with anybody but now they are destroyed without any reason ok you people need something from muslim world just ask we are very generous try it but dont try to snatch.because you know OIL is with us , wealth and intelligent peole too.people u r killing and other things taking , not fair. because as you know muslims can do anything as they did in past like if you read history all inventions and rullings were done by muslims scientists and all formulas too on which your all studies is based from medical till engineeing to all(all praise to GOD).and you people are so coward that you are abusing(GOD forgive me) their Prophet. we never did that and we cant do that, NEVER.so Mr. Bush the father of terrorists stop destroying all this world . you are destroing your country too.you are using your people so shameful.and india is doing terrorists attacks in pakistan behind the shoulders of bush, not face to face, cowards.first look in your country, so much poverty, crimes, hiv positives and other so mny disturbed matters are there, focus them not us.but i know this is all politics, peole of everywhere needs peace and happiness, so stand up muslim world togather and give this to world. we can do that God is with us only.

    To Sadiaz and other detractors:
I think the article has been brilliantly written and well-researched. The opinions of the authors are based on an accurate assessment of the situation in Pakistan and the border it shares with Afghanistan. The timeline of change described from the Afghan war to now cannot be disputed. Musharraf has been in a difficult position given the political instability but it cannot be disputed that his decisions have encouraged a porous border and therefore, a resurgence of a class of militants that could have been decimated. So come on Sadiaz, your attack on the authors, apart from being off-topic as Islam as a religion is certainly not discussed, is quite pointless.instability but it cannot be disputed that his decisions have encouraged a porous border and therefore, a resurgence of a class of militants that could have been decimated. So come on Sadiaz, your attack on the authors, apart from being off-topic as Islam as a religion is certainly not a focus, is quite pointless.
