Pakistani Jehadi's are the manufactured products out of the madrassas supported and preached by the maulana's who have immense hatred for Life, Love and Happiness. As they cannot be happy and alive they want to plunge the world into their own world. There are thousands of Jehadis produced by these madrassas machines every month, who in turn take their hatred for live, love and God taken out on others. Their hatred for the world have compleed them to produce the N-Bomb, which the biggest N-Walmart trader Dr. Khan operated. They have proliferated nuclear arms and know how among all those countries which are against west and this is not a coincidence, and this was done with the active support of army. Let the west try to cleanse up the society of all these jehadi elements by: stopping them from coming into their countries/migrating there and consider all such marriages as illegal, specially where the jehadis try to marry a white girl, or vice versa. Its a very thoughtful and skilled war these jehadis are waging on the west, living there, eating their bread and than cursing them. Let us shut these elements out once and for all.

Then maybe you can explain why University of Nebraska was providing textbooks to Afghan and Pathan children to promote the concept of Jihad?

It is a fact that Pakistan's current situation is not good but it does not mean that it is most dangerous country.

I believe the article is spot on and portray the true picture of a state in turmoil. Many secular Pakistani citizens are angered by the article and are reacting harshly. Do not kill the messenger because you hate the message. Please know that the citizens of the world are not ignorant and opinions are formed based on the patterns formed over time.

A lot of Pakistanis overlook the fact that Pakistan is a "rent" state. A country which has charged a high price for its location in the sub-continent and received large amounts of economic aid and military supplies in return. In the cold war, Pakistan cozied with the US to fight the Soviet Union when the Soviets never posed a direct threat to the country. Pakistan got billions of dollars in return and received new military supplies alsong with superior training for its army. The economy flourished for few; but through artifical means. Now, in the war on terror Pakistan has once again saw an opportunity to revive its economy and get rid of international debt and economic sanctions. It has less to do with the ally in war on terror and it is more about the money.

Whenver there is turmoil and war in the region a selected few in Pakistan benefit out of it. So to the people who are busy hitting balls on golf courses in Pakistan and arguing that this article has an agenda to tarnish the image of their country; please think again. Before canceling your subscription to Newsweek please ask yourself that why Pakistan has slipped to the top 20 nations of failed states in the world? It now shares its place among the lawless states on the African continent.

I doubt if Pakistan will last long. Pakistan was created for the most unnnatural of reasons- as a homeland for a religious group. That is a sick reason and its creation resulted in the death of millions. Any such sick creation cannot last long.

The U.S. can control its southern border any time it wants. It chooses not too b/c the impact to the economy would be too great. It's always about money, and this goes for any nation.

This is coming from an American-born, with no American heritage. For all those not from the ???West???, and who don???t know much about the U.S. and/or what it???s like here, Americans understand well how the media easily spreads propaganda. Americans understand how our politicians behave, we???re not that na??ve. I would say to the common ???non-Western??? man, there is a systemic issue here. The only ones that want war are the insane presidents time and time again who will use their MIGHT ??? and I???m speaking about the U.S. here. U.S. politicians and citizens know exactly how this started in 1970s and 1980s, and now they are trying to fix a mess of what they made on their own. We must separate politicians from citizens??? opinion. The U.S. consensus has been divided for a long time, and even more so now. It???s not about American citizens being bullies and wanting to destroy other countries. Anywhere in the world, the un-educated and ignorant (usually through no fault of their own) will believe anything you tell them, but this is not the majority in the U.S. We want peace just as much as the next person.

And let me say to the person who asks to see the other side of the picture: this works both ways. I know plenty of people in the U.S. - Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jewish, etc. ??? who don???t have tolerance for the respective other religion, and will not hesitate to ???categorize??? the other. This happens all over the world, not just in the U.S. and not just against Islam. This is just human nature. As a Christian, we are taught to be tolerant of others as well.

    Pakistan Is An Easy Scapegoat

I read the cover story of Newsweek October 29, 2007 with disgust and dismay. The authors have squarely put blame on Pakistan for not controlling the Afghan/Pakistan border. They accused President Musharraf for not cracking down hard on Taliban and al Qaeda terrorists hiding in Pakistan.

If United States cannot even control its southern border and prevent effectively the influx of poor unarmed immigrants, how can one can expect Pakistan to control its border with Afghanistan, which is over a thousand mile long, extremely rugged and tortuous. The people crossing this border are not just immigrants to find shelter, they include fully armed terrorists; ready to kill or be killed. Earlier this year President Musharraf proposed a plan to erect a fence along the border. The Afghan government officials criticized it for creating obstacles to the free flow of legitimate refugees between the two countries. Cracking down on terrorists in Pakistan is no picnic contrary to what the authors of the article tried to portray. America with all its might has learned tough lessons both from Iraq and Afghanistan. It is unthinkable what will happen if Pakistan allows direct involvement of U.S. forces on its soil. It can quickly become a war-ravaged country not unlike Iraq and Afghanistan. When push comes to shove, terrorist may flee to neighboring India. Pakistan in the current state is providing a buffer zone between Afghanistan and India.

Pakistan used to be a peaceful country before the first Afghan war in Eighties. It provided the support to U.S. in its proxy war against Russia. Pakistan also provided shelter to millions of fleeing refugees from Afghanistan. The massive exodus not only brought economic hardships, but also much unwanted weaponry into Pakistan. Poverty, weapons and lack of education are a recipe for disaster for any country. Vicious crime including murders and kidnappings started to take place in broad daylight in cities as far south as Karachi. Life in Pakistan since then has changed forever for the worst. US/Afghan war after 911, made the things even worse for Pakistan. Taliban, al Qaeda fighters and their leaders allegedly found refuge Pakistan to escape the US action. I am not saying that the only terrorists in Pakistan are foreigners, there is a significant threat from its own homegrown terrorism, but it all started from the first Afghan war. If any country that has suffered more from the Afghan wars, is Pakistan, excluding of course, Afghanistan itself.

NEWSWEEK Got it wrong this time. I have alwasy respected neweek profesionalism but I have to say they did factual errors on this reporting. More than 3 million people have died since US and Nato invaded in Iraq and Newsweek is labelling pakistan the most dangerous place. There has been hundred of thousand of people massacred in Africa and voilence in Middle east , Kashmir, for decades and Newsweek labelled Pakistan the most dangerous place. Pakistan has more than 15 million people living and calling them all jihadis and terrorist is a hasty generalisation for any sensible reader. wonder who's purpose are they serving by reporting such erronous reports.

Hi readers n commentators, iam a simple tribal pathan from FATA and still for us its a mystery who the Talibans/Qaeda members are! cause we have our families, friends, relatives and not a single Talib we have found here!so thats why i would add here that our love for this country n our faith in jihad has totally been mis-used for the benifits of others,a secret hand is operating and creating such like chaos for their own ulterior motives,so my friends dont waste time over Talibans etc instead we need a sincere leader who could drive out our nation from this agony, the whole lot at Islamabad need to be changed and hence this puppet drama would come to an end. This article is also the part of that drama whose authors are sitting in Washington n London.Nothing as such exists except their own policies(world order) in pakistan trying to make lame excuse for halting our nuclear program.Rest i can speak well about the issue but cannot write much.Regards to all of you.

As a Pakistani citizen and a student, I strongly
object to most of the allegations in this article,
which is flagrantly biased and seems to be based
    almost entirely on hearsay.
In this article Benazir Bhutto was painted as a
heroine, but the fact that she went inside the truck
to rest about 5 minutes before the blast (as opposed
to Newsweek's rather dramatic version statement that
she 'ducked inside' to escape) does not seem like pure
    coincidence.
Practically no mention was made of the fact that it
was under American pressure that Pakistan opened it's
borders to Afghanistan, that the Americans trained and
established the Taliban and Al-Qaeda during the Soviet
war. This is the price that we are paying for being an
American ally (a position that we were bullied into,
    in true American style).
The article childishly repeats that Pakistan is a
terrorist Islamist nation, an accusation which seems
ridiculous in light of the hundreds of thousands of
civilians killed by American forces in Iraq and
Afghanistan, not to mention the numerous other
atrocities committed in Al-Ghraib prison and
    Guantanamo Bay.
I urge the people of Pakistan to open their eyes to
the truth, and not to fall into the deadly trap of
believing that Pakistan is an inherently militant
nation, a point that this article seems to be trying
    too hard to make.

I beleive Ron Moreau and Michael Hirsh are a writers who are totally ignorant about the history of Pakistan and its ongoing circumstances. they might have read some pieces of sick newspapers on the streets around them compiled them again with their mean spicy words and presented up here just to earn their livelihood. Whole world knows the fact that WHO created Taliban??? America or Pakistan. Offcourse the answer is America to fight on behalf of them against Soviet Union and look at this HOW MEAN is that after they got their goal acheived, they waived their hands and left Pakistan with Taliban who had become all powerfull and tactful till that time.Pakistan is bearing that bitter fruit for which America is FULLY responsible. THE Backlash of Taliban. being a Pakistani i think whatever our president is doing he is right he is right in fighting against terrorism(not for America , for ourselves infact) and once you fight against the terrorists for sure your will go through the losses.About Osama i ask the whole world Where is he??? if so called SUPREME POWER AMERICA couldnt find him till now with all the intelligence resources they have then who will descend from skies to find him???and then for the information of all readers in eighties incident of explosions in pakistan army's ammuniton depot( Ojari Camp) near Rawalpindi a team came from America to investigate the incident and Osam was a member of that team. ( THINK OVER IT NOW AND CONCLUDE HOW HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN CREATED AND WHY TILL DATE HE IS NOT FOUND?) Its all America my dear all over and behind every problem that world is facing today and I dont knw till when.

    Hi All,
It is amazing to view the things happening inside Pakistan and being a Pakistani I feel pity about it. The so called Moderate Muslim Government has lost humanity and is doing everything to the powers under; recent bomb explosion in the rally of Exiled Priminister Benazir proved alot in front of OPEN EYES. Why don???t they improve the standard of living in here??? Why are they buying foreign assets and why did she (and all other) flown away instead of facing the allegations???whether right or wrong??? Please understand the as a normal Pakistani (regardless of any religion) I don???t have time to think about any other thing rather than maintaining my life balanced (personally, religiously and professionally).
And please think again about the facts that the worlds most advanced intelligence services is still failing to capture the world???s most dangerous personality i.e. OSAMA BIN LADEN????
    Regards,

WHY DON'T YOU ANSWER THE QUESTION? WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN? WHY IS A.Q.KHAN NOT BEING SURRENDERED TO THE FBI? WHY IS NAWAZ SHARIF NOT ALLOWED TO RETURN TO PAKISTAN AND CONTEST AN OPEN ELECTION? WHY WAS BENAZIR BHUTTO WELCOMED WITH A BOMB? WHY IS THE PAKISTAN ELECTION COMMISSION UNABLE TO RUN ELECTIONS OR FULFILL ITS MANDATE? WHY HAS PAKISTAN CREATED, PROMOTED AND HARBORED THE TALIBAN ... EVEN POST SEPTEMBER 11, 2001. WHY WON'T MUSHARRAF MOVE OUT OF OFFICE AND UNIFORM?

NOW FOR THE ANSWER : PAKISTAN = ROGUE STATE.

I just want to make a couple of points here. There are a lot of comments about Pakistanis complaining that they are fighting the global war of terror for America. This may be true but they are NOT doing it for free. Pakistan was in serious economic crisis when they made that decision and had billions of dollars in debt erased as well as billions of dollars in fresh aid as conditions for entering this war - Musharraf did negotiate a good deal for Pakistan. This is one of the prime reasons that there has been an economic spurt in the recent past.
The comment about attacking Pakistan is ridiculous. It benefits everyone for Pakistan to be stable and progressive nation as opposed to a nuclear powered country in political turmoil. The article has highlighted true facts about certain sections of Pakistan which are Taliban and Bin Laden sympathizers. I do agree that Benazir was irresponsible by conducting the rally after being warned. However I think pakistanis should also acknowledge that these problems exist and deal with it instead of completely denying it or blaming the west entirely. Perceptions about a nation are created by observations made over a period of time and not just one Newsweek article. People are smarter that you give them credit for.
