    Hi All,
I agree with the man khalid Khan. Politcians of Pakistan are playing games these days. Every body thinks that the bomb blast was by Taliban but its just on the ground... down to earth, things are different.
Please dont consider such propagandas because if you have any good friend around you who is muslim you will defintely understand that something is wrong!!

For god sake people wake up this is not against taliban. Where are the weapons of mass destruction in iraq ?? where is osama bin ladin ?? they are just taking control of muslim countries and their resources day by day ... But yet we all are still sleeping.

A sucide bomb attack is bad thing but killing innocent children and people in iraq is good ?? I m amazed. Shelling on them is a good thing right. Today we all are sleeping waiting for our turn to come. I pray that god help us not just muslims but all humans.

For all those, particularly from the West, who don't know much about Islam and Pakistan, such articles are masterpieces of creating misconceptions. The dominant western media is, no doubt capable of spreading propaganda, which favors their political objectives or international strategy. And they are doing it successfully.

But for a common Western man, all I can say is that such articles are not creed revelations. You people know your politicians, and how far they can go to get what they want. So watch out for what is being shown to you BBC, Fox, NBC CNN etc. and what you are being conveyed through such articles.

IF you have any interest in politics / other religions / other countries, try to see the other side of the picture, the real side.

All I can conclude is that there has never been a war against terror, it has always been a war against Islam. But more interesting is ???Why a war against Islam?????. Find it out for yourself and sure you won???t think you have wasted time in doing it.

Everyone is talking of Pakistan as if we are 'Terrorist Nation'. The writers of this article should know more. These guys should highlight Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq. Why do they not, 'Coz it is being ravaged by Non-Muslims. Pakistan has not launched any attacks on any other soil, we are managing our own issues internally. Atleast we are trying to. How about United States, These guys can't even handle internal issues and they try to resolve issues like IRAQ, Afghanistan. The funny thing is they are trying to bring order in Iraq and Afghanistan where as they have forgotten Palestine. Why? Because of the Jewish Lobby. These guys ravaged Vietnam, you send them today and there is nothing much they would be able to do again. My word to all these guys who falsely accuse Pakistan or any other Islamic state or terrorism is "Muslims are a Fearless Nation", They only fear God Almighty and that is one thing that will always go against them, no matter what.

In very simple words 'America is a Failure' atleast this management is entirely useless and pathetic, 'coz to them there is no value of human lives, examples are Iraq,Afghanistan. The things they value is OIL and all other earthly gains.Saddam has been caught, 'coz he was supposed to be, so he could never talk of his allies earlier on 'The US of A'. Funny how Osama is still on the run, I would'nt be amazed if they would say that Osama is in Iran and make that reason to attack them.

It is indeed sad to see the cover page of Newsweek. Just because of few people you cannot blame the entire nation and the country. Certainly it is a propaganda against muslims and Pakistan especially. We condemn this so called 'sucide attack' and most of all the cover page of news week. True muslims and Pakistanis does not support these violent attacks.

Its only the US who is a proven dangerous country for all the muslims countries on the globe. 'BEWARE' another plot is coming up.

Seeing the Muslim students on the cover of "News Week", I recalled my statement to my westren friends. My 3 friends each from France, Australia and UK visited with me to Pakistan to play golf. We landed in Lahore and then travelled through the public transport to Islamabad and Murree and played golf in the three cities. In islamabad, they asked me where are the muslim fundamentalists with the beards and the guns which usually they see in the news............and my reply was that we have kept some for BBC and CNN.

Jurnalism is a noble profession. I dont think the writer of this article have visited Pakistan. Please dont misuse this profession and do not support the bunch of rulling class of the west. Recall when west was against the attack on iraq but these bunch of western rulling class wanted to this.

I'm really tired of hearing the argument that Pakistani forces are not doing enough to stop the incursion of Jihadists from their side of the border into Afghanistan. Can someone (especially Newsweek editors who portray to have the best understanding of this situation) please explain one thing to me; isn't this a fact that where Pakistani border stops, Afghanistan border starts. And isn't Afghanistan border secured by the most technologically advanced and heavily armed forces in the world. If I agree that Pakistani forces are not doing enough then same goes for the forces on the other side of the border. Why can't they stop them from entering into their border? Everyone needs a scapegoat and Pakistan happens to be caught in the middle here. If U.S. forces can't secure the heavily fortified Green Zone in Iraq, how can we expect Pakistani forces to secure a long border with Afghanistan. BTW, U.S. officials in Iraq rarely go out of Green Zone but American Ambassador to Pakistan was moving freely (off cource with some security that can't be compared with security that will be needed in Iraq) in Karachi during the week of this story. May be we should ask Ryan Crocker (ambassador to Iraq and former ambassador to Pakistan) to compare Pakistan with Iraq.

Journalism is the profession which is known to be honest to the people. It's a profession of delivering truth to the people. Unfortunately, some people use this profession for their own interests where they perceive and sometimes prevent those realities which are not beneficial for them. There conflict hits and retaliation came into being. If we took this example "Pakistan: The Most Dangerous", which is clearly described as Jihad lives in Pakistan but don't forget that who created this for USSR. . The world still remember that Donald Regan gave a special protocal to Hiqmat Yaar and also trained Osama Bin Laden. IUS and West hhave to think seriously about it otherwise I aworried abut that day when Jihad will live there as well. When that happened it will be over and. So US still have a time to re-think its strategy and learn a lesson from Great Britain.

The picture on the Newsweek cover may be bad but certainly not as bad as the images that came out of Red Mosque located right at the heart of Islamabad, North and South Waziristan and now Swat. Did you ever think about the images of the burqa-clad sticks totting women of the Hifza School led by ???the first lady??? of the Red Mosque, Umme Ehsan, kidnapping men and women from Islamabad???s posh areas less than a mile from the President House, Prime Minister House, Parliament House, and the Supreme Court? Surprisingly none of them did anything about it before it was already too late. Did the images of Pakistani Taliban slaughtering security officials they abduct ever bother you? In one of the video that the Taliban released on Youtube a 12-year-old was shown slaughtering an Afghan society official. Did that image bother you? If that was long time ago, as some of us, who have a very short memory, may say, let me remind you of something that happened only two days ago when Taliban slaughtered seven security officials in Pakistan???s Swat district. The Newsweek cover picture is only a depiction of what is happening in my beloved homeland. My father and many others of his generation who worked and sacrificed in the Pakistan Movement in 1940s used to tell me when I was growing up that they struggled for Pakistan because they wanted to be free from the British and Hindus. I do not blame them for anything but I do, sometime, ask them if this is the Pakistan they struggled for?

Let me just add to these very warranted critiques by pointing out that the cover photograph on the Oct. 29th issue is not just irresponsible and inflammatory, it's also racist. If we can all agree that media shapes public opinion, then what kind of message is that photograph - just visually speaking - sending to the U.S. public? It's exacerbating already existing stereotypes and reinforcing fear and distrust. All that so you can sell a few more magazines. It's irresponsible and shameful.

Of $1.6 billion in U.S. aid given to Pakistan, for military purposes, since 2002, more than half went for purchases of major weapons systems sought by Pakistan's army. US officials and experts also say U.S. aid has typically lacked sufficient oversight, or any means of measuring its effectiveness.
The aid now pegged at more than $150 million a month - no other country receives more assistance from Washington for military training.
Since 2001, Pakistan has received more than $6 billion from the US Coalition Support Fund.
The large weapons systems Washington has funded have little relevance to terrorism and counterinsurgency, said Hassan Abbas, a former Pakistani government official who is now a research fellow at Harvard University.
"The money is mostly to make Musharraf happy and to engage the Pakistani army as an institution," he said.

The Pakistan government knows where these people are and where they have breakfast lunch and dinner - yet they have no control over their country. That makes perfect sense.

Also - no mention of how the US created this culture to fight the Soviets. No question ask why Bhutto's motorcade "inched" along the highway when she knew an attack was coming. No discussion of US troops that everyone knows but refuses to acknowlegde in pakistan. The entire article is "anonymous sources" who dont really know but like to speculate.

What a bunch of crap!!!! So many wrong statements. So many misconceptions!!! Can one believe that Pakistan is more dangerous than Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan and other African nations. This is so ridiculous and makes mockery of news reporting. I have been living in Karachi since birth and cannot imagine living in the most dangerous country in the world. These reporters should report the truth irrespective of personal or political (and in some cases religious) bias. I am living the most contented life and I have been around the world and cannot imagine that other countries (with the exception of a few) are better secured than Pakistan!!!!

What the Newsweek has published on the frontpage is not the true picture what is happening in Pakistan. I think publishing media have greater responsibility towards showing true facts. This is really irresponsible reporting.

It was just as much the americans as the ISI who are responsible for Islamisation of Jihadis. The actual textbooks used by Afghan and Pathan children containing numerous violent images and references to Jihad were prepared at the University of Nebraska.

These Islamist Jihadis are just as much an american product as they are Pakistani. Why does the American media forget the textbooks, meant for Afghan and Pathan school children containing numerous violent images were actually prepared at the University of Nebraska.
