I think they not only should have their own party, but their own country!
I think they not only should have their own party, but their own country!
It is time for all people of reason to start lobbying the Congress to pass a constitutional amendment making ALL forms of organized religion illegal. ALL forms of marriage too.
A 3rd party that splits the right will only strengthen the Democrats. I'm a Canadian and don't pretend to know your politcal in's and out's. But we have always multi-party elections. In our case there is one party on the right (The Conservative Party of Canada), collectively they won the last election with 34% of the popular vote, as the remaining populous, albeit sitting very much to the left could not agree on one party...the result a government that does not share the biews of the majority of the population.
We should ship out the wacky right and left together on the same craft. Take our country back, teach math and science including evolution.
USA has lost it's soul. We need a leader that will represent the values of Christianity.
While I do not disagree with this I would have to say that putting a "Christian" President in office is not going to change anything. Either the millions of luke warm Christians need to stop going to church to feel good and actually try and improve their community or our country needs to learn the hard way through decadence as many other "great nations" have in the past. That is the sad truth.
I find it alarming how illiterate most of you zealots are. Keep pumping your absurd religion into politics, and I assure you, you will get the Armageddon you collectively expect, and definitely deserve.
Religious zealots and extremists are the devil's own, for they are they ones trying to undermine and control the government and push for Amagedon. any thoughts?
Religion is inherently destructive and an undemocratic concept that limits free thought. History teaches us this again and again. If men had the courage to speak this, we would not have had the most shameful events in human history like September 11th, The Inquisition or the Holocaust. Evil men use God to enslave others because moral men live in fear of speaking out.
I agree with sexypoet, below. I respect the right of people of all faiths to believe what they want, to hold what values they want, and to practise their faith. I object strenuously to their wanting to impose their values on everyone else. I hope they *get* their precious third party, because it will *LOSE*.

Just had to out do me.. didn't you Sexypoet ?!?
How about getting rid of the wacky right and the wacky left!!!!!!!!! Remember Huckabee and Clinton are from the same state. What a joke.
Although according to most polls, 90% of Americans believe in a God of some sort, I don't believe most embrace the actual "values" of the religious right. However, many are mislead or manipulated by the demagoguery so often employed by those that wrap themselves in the in cloak of righteousness. Frankly, it would help clarify things if they would all stand in one corner and be counted.
I have always believed we needed a third party or even a forth.. The politicians have move so far from the peoples views toward their own agenda. All they care about is votes, not serving the people. This thing of voting party loyalty has had it. Voting republican or democrat just because that is how you are registered just does not work any more. I was a registered republican for decades but now I am registered Independent. My vote goes to who will serve my needs not their own. I no longer vote republican just because that's what i am. Politicians better wake up. People, republicans and democrats alike are fed up with their pandering for votes. Personally for me there is only one person who I would even consider voting for and this person is not favored by the media. I say give the PEOPLE choices. More political parties will cause the others to not be so sure of themselves. Give us more choices. I don't like any of the front runners and I probably won't vote if either gets the nomination.
Well said. A totally agree. We need more parties!! More choices!!
Ron Paul is all we need!
I am a Christian, but I also know that this country was founded with freedom of religion in mind. So I don't believe that the religion of a person should be a main focal point in choosing our next presidential canidate. I do believe however that there is a difference between personal and religious beliefs and we need to focus on the canidates personal beliefs. I think by pressuring this kind of " Religious Beliefs " on our canditates, than this is going to force them to walk that fine line of religious and personal. I really believe that no religious organization should have any power ( other than personal voting ) in who our primary canidates should be. This is in my mind a conflict of constitutional rights.
I find it alarming how illiterate most of you zealots are. Keep pumping religion into politics, and I assure you, you will get the Armageddon you collectively expect, and definitely deserve.
Armageddon is reserved for those who are left behind after the rapture, if I'm wrong, I lose nothing, if your wrong, you lost everything.
tanana, your logical formulation is based on the premise of Pascal's wager (God is a safe bet). Accepted philosophical and theist discussion throughout the past few hundred years has proven this mode of logic fundamentally flawed and even damning in a large majority of cases. I suggest further investigating your reasons for belief.
Because you are wrong, you and your collective ilk are ???losing??? the greatest nation to ever exist on this planet, and the greatest hope for the future of mankind. Are your superstitions really worth it? I think not.
I'm far more concerned with the damage that the so called "Christian" right has done to our country than I am about the damage terrorists have done or are planning on doing. The terrorists outside can do some damage, but the "Christian" terrorists among us, like the hypocritical Richard Land, have the capacity to do so much more damage. In fact, I would guess that the Republican party's greatest nightmare would be the over turning of Roe V. Wade, because then the Looney right would not need the Republicans anymore... I am sickened by what has become of a party I used to love and admire!
I know it is not my place to judge but I cannot help but to notice the hypocritical comments! It is absolutely amazing. You cry for separation of church and state, but demand taxation, that IS separation of church and state. Did you know that if you lived in Germany a percentage of your taxes would fund the catholic cult?
Tolerance. Tol-er-ance (noun) the acceptance of the differing views of other people, e.g. in religious or political matters, and fairness toward the people who hold these different views (Encarta). Take a L-O-N-G look in the mirror people. It doesn???t say tolerance except for the intolerant does it?
Hipocracy???
Excuse me, Mr. Skin Head...but the tolerant and intelligent people of this great country do not refer to 1.1B God-fearing people as the Catholic Cult. Bigotry is really showing its ugly face today...
Fact: 1.read my whole post and TRY not to take anything out of context as you people usually do...
2. More genocide and murders have been done in the name of the catholic church than any other religion, except maybe Islam.
3. I???m not a skinhead.
4. only the racist play the racism card.
Studies have shown, despite the media hype, that Christian conservatives WERE NOT that instrumental in putting Bush in office. They didn't vote in any more significant numbers than they did in elections prior to 2000.
However founding another party, will do little but insure that no one they support ever takes office. So let 'em, says I!
I read in the Orlando Sentinal where a Evangelical organization made over 1 Billion dollars last year and the couple who own the church have over 30 homes across the nation and a corporate Jet to fly around in, meanwhile after purchasing a theme park called "the Holy land" they fired more than 30% of their staff without cause. When are we going to start calling a rose a rose and tax these Churches?
If I am not mistaken, the percentage of abortions performed due to rape are less than 5%. My grandmother was raped and chose to have my father. So I guess I am a little partial since I would not be alive had she chose to abort him. Also, a very good friend of mine was raped and has the most beatiful daughter despite the crime. The world is a better place with that sweet child in it. I do believe in helping anyone find a home for a child that they don't want. If us christians could get along with one another, instead of being so divided on small issues, we could join together and make a difference. I truly believe that most mothers would choose life if they did feel they there was a safe place for the child. The lady who is "Roe" by the way, is now very much pro-life. She deeply regrets the entire case and what she did.
