In as much as George Bush thinks God commisioned him to spread democracy into the world, he greatlly
ered, if he really believed the word of God, he would have known all the bibilical signs point to China,
along with Russia will lead the musclim world in that final grear war against Isreal and the United States,
in the final war ofv all wars. Bush and Rice are trying to give to Palestine land that God solemnly commanded that belong to the Jewish people, never, ever to be given or taken away from Isarel or
God's chosen people, the jewish people. Armagadeon is just s few 'flickers; away.

Well, I have now waited for quite a while for my post about Fred Thompson to appear, but so far, not so good! Does that mean that someone there is censoring our comments? Please tell me if you are, because I won't bother to post again if that's the case.

They need to form their own party so we can get past this Christian Sectarianism once and for all. God did not invent religion, mankind did for it's own benefit. The sooner that these phony Christians are crushed, the better. Have at it!

Wow, you sound just like the terrorists. I'm very upset about these pathetic non-Christains here. You give all nonChristains, like me, a bad name. You disgust me. You use poeples spelling and grammer and insult them with it because you lack the eductation to counter their arguments. The most of you sound no better than the Christains you hate. And they say it is the right-wing Christains who spread the hate?
read up on history. Whether you like it or not, Christains founded this nation and they most likly hoped to keep it a Christain nation. Just because they wrote the Consitition doesn't mean thats what they personally believe.

May I ask which Christians those were that founded our nation? The Huguenots, maybe? The people who were fleeing religious persecution? Those Christians?

I find it very interesting that the "values" voters have not mentioned, or do not seem to consider it in their values, that Fred Thompson got a girl pregnant outside of wedlock when he was just 17. He married her, and as we all know, later divorced her. If a democrat running for elective office had that little nugget in his background, you can be sure that we would all hear about it, over and over. So why the silence?

Our nation is being split apart by special interest groups. We are all Americans. There are many religous groups in our country who must learn that their beliefs belong in their churches, temples, and mosques. Our forefathers were religious men, but understoof the danger of mixing religion withpolitics. We, as American, should learn from what is going on in Dafur and Iraq. These countries are being split apart by religion and factions.

Please, let us not succumb to a third party who represents a particular religion. Those who suggest it only want the power for themselves, not for the good of all Americans. People must learn that we all believe in a God; perhaps by different names, but it is one entity.

Actually, all of us do not necessarily believe in a God. Nobody has proven to me that one exists, and I'm convinced that even if one existed, he would have been wiser than to create a whole world full of intolerant people, who thus far have shown no inclination to get along with anyone not adhering to the beliefs of their equally intolerant neighbors. Make no mistake, there are many of us who believe that we "just happened" or evolved from a lower order being, and that includes all of you who think you are so high and mighty.

Who's really ruining America? Or one might ask, the world? Extremists. I'm strongly Christian, but I do not believe in forcing my Christian views on others in a political fashion. I believe that pinkpanther87413 has the right to go on being a bigot. I don't believe that his extreimist side is helping much either. I'm sure he can tell you about all the hate and violence and wars made in the name of Christ, but what about those of Athiest societies such as Chairman Mao or Joseph Stallin? are they the result of scientific secular thinking? Everyone, pleaseback away from extremism.

    • Posted By: Just my 2 cents @ 10/23/2007 12:24:34 PM

Yeah! Lets back away from extremism. Lets start by not using gay, abortion and marriage as a wedge issue to vote for corrupt individuals ie. ala bush, dick and neo-tards into office.

As long as subliminal messaging is allowed in religious services and meetings, religious fanaticism will never die it will only get worse. How do you counter someone who has been brainwashed.

As long as the BUSINESS of religion funds corruption( money is power and absolute power corrupts) this country is doomed and you are seeing it now. Start taxing religion as the business it is and start viewing it as an organization that is changing our constitution and laws to fit its own needs. They are on a World Crusade starting with overthrowing this gov.. WAKE UP!!! BEFORE they start WW III

    • Posted By: Just my 2 cents @ 10/23/2007 12:06:26 PM

PLUUEASSSSE! WW III was already started by this goon of a president. It just hasn't been fully funded yet like the education bill. Just you wait! Iran is next just before he leaves or is forced out of office.

  • Posted By: Wolfgang38 @ 10/23/2007 12:05:51 PM

I personally believe that religious organizations should have no place in politics. As individuals, they have the right to be as active as they wish to be, but as tax-exempt organizations, political activism should be out of bounds. Their current level of activism flies in the face of the separation of church and state. When the religious right becomes too politically active, they put the rest of us in danger of being hounded and persecuted, much as the majority of the Islamic world is dominated by their clerics.

As I see it .. the religious funding of programs in third world countries are just supporting terrorism. Anyone do a follow-up of the kids that we feed and clothe How many are sporting AK-47's or building bombs??

GOOD POINT 2 CENTS WORTH. THAT WOULD GIVE MORE CHURCHS TO TAX FOR CHILDRENS HEALTHCARE FUNDING. IF THEY WANT POLITICS, THEN GIVE THEM THE WHOLE TEN YARDS, TAX THEM, AND HOPE NOT ONE GETS TO BE PRESIDENT, OR THEY WILL PULL A PG FROM BUSH AND MAKE ALL RELIGIUOS WORKERS ABOVE THE LAW!! THEN THEY DON'T HAVE TO SPEND ANY MONEY RELOCATING OR PAYOFFS FOR PEDIFILES RIGHT?

Here we go again. Every four years, the Republican contenders have to swerve to the right to appease the anti-gay, anti-abortion Christian activist groups, and then back again to the center to appeal to the general public. Doesn't this just illustrate how far out of step these people are with the rest of the American people? I'm glad Giuliani isn't backing down. Let the fundamentalists start their own party if they don't like it. BTW, I think the Christian Right had their "JFK speech" some years ago. Pat Buchanan delivered it at the 1992 Republican Convention. And we all know how well that one went over...

  • Posted By: klebrun @ 10/23/2007 11:42:18 AM

What we need is a third party that combines the strengths and addresses the weaknesses of both parties. In general terms, the Republicans are anti-gay, anti-abortion, pro death penalty, pro war (Iraq resembles brain surgery with a chain saw), pro wealthy and anti-family in terms of economics. The Democrats are pro abortion, pro gay and pro family in terms of economics. As a Catholic, that leaves me without a party.

I would like a rational plan for reducing abortion, recognizing that it is unlikely to stop altogether, I would like to see protection for gay rights, but without gay marriage, and I would like to see a party that truly supports family values for the middle and lower class economically. I believe that we can accomplish this with moderates or centrists, as they are called in politics.

As an attorney, I think that convictions and death penalties in states like Texas are basically a crap shoots as DNA testing is proving. We are approaching half the world's total defense spending and our CIA budget alone exceeds the total defense spending for all but a few countries. Then we contrast that with what we are doing to our exhausted troops in Iraq. We appear to have a serious mismanagement problem with the military.

A third party of extremists will never fly. We have had enough of them. A third party that can offer a true alternative to the two existing parties may have a chance.

So sorry for the double post. Was not sure if it took the first time. I want a recount!

  • Posted By: Just my 2 cents @ 10/23/2007 11:32:07 AM

I think every religion should start their own political party and chose their respective candidate to run in the general election. Let's see how much more we can devide this country. Sarcasm anyone?
