Lets see... a church on nearly every street corner, tax exempt and politically motivated. Our country beholden to right wing zealots for eight years. Oh yes, the Christians are SO persecuted. *rolls eyes*

It is only the presence of the organized religions of the world that leads me to believe that true evil exists. Not that they proclaim the dangers of it, but that they become it themselves. At the center of each lies a core of hatred so dire and tangible one cannot help but shudder and wonder - "why?".
Most Christians want to have a balanced budget, safe neighborhoods, access to good roads and bridges, reasonable prices for gas and groceries, anf even pay reasonable taxes. Simply to have someone say "Just say no" for a long lost war on drugs or "abstinence only" for birth control probably had more impact in the 1950's, but is noy the solution today. Christians do not expect to have tax cuts in every administration. If the budget is balanced and future generations are not forced to pay for the prior generations fun, Christians are happy with that.
Religion does not belong in politics. As a matter of fact, God did not invent religion, mankind did. I would never be apart of any Religion that stated that they were the only way to get to heaven and told me who to vote for. I hope they do start their own party. The crushing defeat will for once and all eliminate these phony Christians from the political lime light. They really need to go back to feeding the poor, clothing the naked and ministering to the sick, that is, if any of these so called Christian religions did those things in the first place.
Actually, quite a few democrats would probably jump ship if the religious freaks were out of the republican party. Might be the best thing the pubs could ever get. Be careful what you wish for lefties, you might get squat wrapped up in a life lesson.
I think it's time for Christians to get back to the basics--the teachings of Jesus. They threw their support behind Bush and look where it got the country! They need to return to the principles laid out by Jesus in the New Testament and quit being like the Pharisees.
I think it's time for Christians to get back to the basics--preaching and teaching the message of Jesus! If they are listening, I suspect God is telling them they made a BIG mistake in throwing all their weight behind Bush. But then if they read the Bible, they know that being like the Pharisees is not what Jesus had in mind!
Yes I think it would be great. The Repubs would be the minority party for ever and a teligious 3rd party would garner so few votes that it would prove just how powerless they are. Don't call them value voters because they do not subscribe to the values of most Americans - they are the Taliban of christianity. In 8 years they have come closer to destroying this country than Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, or Communist Russia ever did. If you believe in the anti-Christ you need look no further the the leaders of the value voters. Dobson, Robertson, Falwell all will rot in Hades for eternity.
Yes I'm all for a christian third party. This country needs to go back to it's christian roots. Christians should not have to comprimise their values and back a canidate that is wrong for the country.
