One of the many issues I have with these 2 faced American Taliban is they have no problem sending someone else's sons to war but when you bring up Iraq and their kids in the same sentence they say their kids are going to go to college instead. Think about that for a minute. It's typical of the hypocritical religious right to endlessly scream for military action but only if someone else's kids makes the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus will judge their phony carcasses accordingly. Disgusting.

I am a two tour vietnam vet and a christian. the most intolerant bigots in America today are the finger pointing Democrats. they are the ones that are the first to point out or notice race, disability or gender as long as they can use it in one of their lies to further their causes. My church bought a old motel and remodeled it for homeless women with children, what have you done?

I always find it kinda sad when people point their finger at GOD and tell HIM they don't accept HIS SON as the love offering HE sent to them many years ago. GOD'S Word tells us that men love the creation more than the Creator and that is still true today. The Word also says ....there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death. God has provided the way , its every persons ........CHOICE

Your remarks are blasphemy. How dare you spout lies. Our Father Zues and his children will smite you with his lighening bolts, right after Ra sends serpents...

I am sorry, was I mixing fairy tales. Go ahead, what was yours?

Before us Christian's to start a "third" party....we should consider all the votes that would be wasted voting against Hillary to get in....think about it people logically......

One of the sins that isn't forgiveable is adultry, yet we are considering putting Bill Clinton back into the white house, it;s apparent that most people arn't concerned about values, morals, or religious beliefs. Wake up America.....

MOST AMERICANS COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR MORAL AND RELIGIOUS VALUES! UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME PROOF OTHER THEN ANCIENT FAIRYTALES OR "FAITH" YOU SHOULD STOP PESTERING OTHER PEOPLE! GOVERMENT IS HERE FOR THE PEOPLE NOT THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH! NOW EXCUSE ME! I HAVE UNBORN FETUSES THAT NEED TO BE ABORTED!

I grow weary of the term "values voters". It lends undue credibility to the idea that fundamentalist evangelical Christians are the only members of our society with any values. It's one thing for these so-called "values voters" to refer to themselves with such sanctimonious pomp but for the rest of the country to buy into that ideology or, more frightfully, condemn the idea of having moral values as "extremist" behavior is a recipe for disaster. I consider myself a Christian (although I'm sure people like Mr. Land would disagree with me) and have a strong moral compass. But because I don't happen to subscribe to fundamentalist ideology I am not included in the grouping of "values voters". There are many, many more in my situation than will ever be in Mr. Land's (or his "constituents") camp and I feel we all deserve a little latitude when the term "values" gets bandied about in such a fashion.

"Comment: The reason our country has fallen in the toilet is because americans lack of faith in God. And that includes fellow christians. We need a christian leader that can change the abortion laws, capital punishment, stop gay marriage and keep us out of war."

And what kind of Christian do you suggest? Catholic? Mormon? Christian Scientist? Oh, no, sorry, you mean a FUNDAMENTALIST Christian, don't you? None of the others even register on the "Christian" scale, do they?

And Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists, Wiccans, etc...they're just off the map, aren't they?

Hmmmm, I know that the Puritans came to this country for something or other, now what was it again? Oh yeah, RELIGIOUS FREEDOM...ie, freedom from RELIGIOUS TYRANNY. Remember that tiny little detail the next time you want to push your own brand of "Christian" on every one else in America.

"You've answered my question. I cannot vote for someone who believes that it's all right to stop a beating heart."

Unless, of course, the beating heart belongs to the already born who are fighting in Iraq. Then it's perfectly okay.

Our country was founded on religious freedom. I think most people forget that fact. We are straying so far away from the Truth we all need. No thing or person can fill the emptiness in a person except Jesus Christ. Satan is doing a great job turning people away from the Lord in this country. We need to pray and seek God's will in this election. Christian should make this a priority.

    • Posted By: viji @ 10/23/2007 7:22:10 PM

Freedom of religion does not mean freedom of Christianity. It includes Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, Scientologists, Native religions and the list goes on. So to say that this country needs to embrace Jesus is decidedly NOT freedom of religion.

      • Posted By: daisrael @ 10/23/2007 7:32:13 PM

You realize of course that your satan "boogie man" was created after the formation of christianity along the lines of Zoroastrian faith. Modern christianity is a plagerizing of Zoroastrianism, Judiasm, Druidism, and Egyptian.

They can't even make up their own stories or holidays and they are suppose to be the authorities on "Truth".

        LMAO

If we conservatives had not been so enamoured with pretty-faced candidates, we would have nominated Steve Forbes. The man is in full possession of his sanity. He already knows how to restore and keep a corporation on sound financial footing. Doesn't it make sense that he could do the same with a nation ?
Somehow, I believe Ronald Reagan would heartily recommend this man to lead this radically dysfunctional republic out of this present darkness. The man we elect to lead us does not have to be an evangelist, but he does need the sense to honor the constitution so that all forms of peaceful religious expression will be protected.

I find it amazing that in the year 2007 we are discussing the possibility of the religious establishment being able to establish a political party within the United States of America. What is the point of having a constitution which explicitly keeps organized religion out of our political process. I agree that religion cannot be removed from our political leaders, and that it should not be. We cannot have a religious etablishment trying to gain political power over a free country. Our country was founded by people fleeing a country who was lead by a strong religious establishment who was able to persecute those who opposed their doctrines. I think in some ways this country is to strongly opposed to religion in politics; however a RELIGIOUS POLITICAL PARTY goes against the principals of our constitution! While this is being debated why don't we allow this country to adopt a monarchy, and regress to the middle ages. This country already makes to many decisions based on corporate desires, and energy "security", why would we want to start making policy decisions based on a religious establishment many of our citizens would not agree with. Right now our country is becoming extremely polar, we do not need another party pulling us apart. Socialized medicine is not an evil thing, actually allowing people to die because they are poor is evil. I find it funny how so many "religious" people hate to share their wealth. They truely love to hord their riches and walk this earth with their noses in the air, what would Jesus do....Send you all to hell. Hey lets build bombs to kill our "enemies" (not love them) and Screw our own children out of proper medical treatment or a proper education. God save these swine who forsake humanity for the all mighty dollar obviously they are more deserving of your grace!

THE DOLLAR BILL HAS "IN GOD WE TRUST" THE MORE YOU HAVE THE CLOSER YOU GET TO HIM (SIC)GET GREEDY THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS DO NOT EXSIST FOR ANYONE ANY MORE

      • Posted By: Letusbe123 @ 10/23/2007 6:54:19 PM

Great realization! The dollar having "In God We Trust" shows that having religion in the world is not a bad thing; however having our country make world decisions based on religion is NOT RIGHT. Let the Pope, or the Archbishops make religious decisions for those groups allow the American people make the choices which are right and just. Who will be our new "Holy Roman Emperor". To travel the globe and force their religion on many and kill the heathens which believe in their own culturally correct God or Gods.

        • Posted By: daisrael @ 10/23/2007 6:59:47 PM

In god we trust was not put on our money til the 1860's. It is wrong for any secular government to show endorsement for ANY form of religion. Leave the fairy tale telling to the preachers.

DO ANY OF YOU UNDERSTAND THE (SIC) SYMBOL IF NOT IT MEANS YA RIGHT IN LEGAL IT MEANS B.S. IN MY REMARK IT MEANT YA RIGHT GET IT YET I DOUBT IT

      • Posted By: freechildspeaks @ 10/23/2007 7:12:01 PM

Enough said. Socialized medicine IS a good thing. The U.S. is far behind other nations when it comes to health care. Bush vetoing the child health care bill is despicable, and just proves that he hates poor children and people who weren't born with silver spoons in their mouths like he was. Hilary is not a good choice though, and which candidates out there are against the war??? Every one of them sway when the wind blows.

The most corrupt, vicious, hateful, and judgemental people I have ever met have been those who carry a bible in one hand while slapping the face of their brothers with the other. These religious zealots are not to be trusted. Just reading the responses from this "God Fearing" man makes me cringe.... Hypocrite....

A third party built on Jewish/Christian principles, lead by a capable candidate for president could draw enough votes from Democrats and Republicans to win the White House. First, however, such a party needs to win seats in Congress. Nominating a pro-abortion candidate to run for president will begin the death of the Republican Party.

    • Posted By: Just Amazing @ 10/23/2007 6:32:17 PM

Such a party needs to find itself a desert island somewhere so it can create the theocracy it really wants. That way it can keep an eye on its 'flock' of mindless sheep and make sure they don't do anything that might offend the Almighty. Heck, they could even bring back some of their favorite forms of law enforcement: stonings and burnings at the stake

      • Posted By: earthtrekker @ 10/23/2007 7:20:36 PM

If you want to see a nation ruled without Christian principles, study up on the USSR. How many millions of its own people did it murder? 80 some. Or, would you rather be ruled by Islamo-Fascists? While many Founders of the USA did not believe in the theology of Christianity, they did adhere to its moral and economic principles.

If we are fighting Islamic Extremists, then as soon as we elect a Chrstian Extremist are we any better. How do you justify one extreme, and then condemn another. Christian extremists have committed numerous acts against humanity. If we want to be able to fight terrorists, we have to be a well rounded country able to listen and speak open mindedly. If we elect a Chrsitian extremist tell me, how well does it ever work when two extremes try to discuss their differences? lets look at this site as an example! hahaha who wants to continue fighting a war that no one will ever win.

Haven't these so called Christian conservatives done enough damage... let them go to the Devil where they belong... they do not believe in Christs teachings, only their own agenda of Hate, Exclusion and Greed...
