My heart truly goes out to all that have lost their homes and to all that are about to lose their homes to this terrible fire. I know tragedies like this make you wonder, Why is this happening to us? And I wish I could be the one with the answer but I sadly I don't. I can tell you that I do know what it's like to lose a home to such a horrible disaster. Through the grace of God, I managed to live through three hurricanes...Francis, Jean and Wilma. Two of those hurricanes took two of our homes. These are frightening times and the best that I can tell you is to grab whatever faith you have and hold onto it with everything you've got.
I'm not a religious fanatic but I can tell you that prayer goes a long way. I don't have much but if there is anything I can do to help, please contact me. Like I said, I don't have much but I will do whatever I can to help. Oh, and my heart goes out to the loved ones of who already lost one person to this horrible fire.
You can contact me at guardian06@bellsouth.net. My prayers are with you all. ;-)

HUMMMMMM it is so nice to know the millioniares are getting money from the feds and the state.Wish we poor people could get a little of that money for our hospital oh i forgot we don't count, we don't live in some other counrrty, we live right here in CAlif. but up north. If you send e-mails or call the Govenor office all you get is the run around. But saving a hospital isn't like saving the millionaires

California is the 3rd largest state in the union. The statement "California is up in flames" implies, wrongly that all of California is on fire. That is blatantly wrong and misleading. Less than 10% of California's residents are being directly affected by the fires right now. There is no fire damage in the City of Los Angeles, the largest city in the state with more than 4 million people. You're readers may be surprised to hear that the 2/3rds of California stretching for 450 miles north of Los Angeles is not on fire, and doesn't smell a wiff of smoke. This includes the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Fresno and Bakersfield. Even as a resident of Southern California, I'm appalled that you guys back east still think of Southern California as all of California. You're doing an injustice to your readers with your dramatic inaccuracies.
