Racial ‘Cleansing’ in L.A.

I don't understand why it is so important for everyone to be against one another. If every race could just get over skin color and realize that we are all human beings with hearts and minds, things would be a lot easier. Violence never solves anything.

Since moving to Los Angeles, I have been amazed about the gang problem. This race based gang violence is nothing new in Southern California. It is has become more noticed by the national media. Local news stations like KCal 9, KCBS 2 and KABC 7 have been covering stories daily. You can find a number of them on YouTube.com. The turth of the matter is that Mexicans have moved into traditionally low income or lower middle class African American neighborhoods because of growth in population and economics. Add in the fact the Hispanics in this country have become the largest minority group. You are bound to have some conflicts. What do you think the whole debate over illegal immigration is about? You see it being acted out in the streets and in the prisons where the system here in California is a joke here. The same thing happen when African American's started moving into traditionally white neighborhoods. This is where the term "White Flight" comes in to the picture. In areas like Palmdale, California, "Black Flight" happen when new housing became affordable. There was a great migration there over the last few years. The solutions are many but they all start with the individuals themselves. I find it to be a sad commentary by LIZ_21 to say that she will die for her race. How about living for Truth, Justice and the American way of life. From the begining of time in this country there have always been ethnic gangs, the Irish, Italian, Polish are just a few off of the top of my head. The truth of the matter is that gangs have done nothing great to advance the posistion of the race as a whole. From the top down, gangs have always done nothing but cause pain to their community. The more telling story here is the need for African Americans to become more aware of the changing world around them. Every Africa America should at least learn spanish. You can't even work for the city of Los Angeles without being Bilingual. My I suggest everyone read Who Moved My Cheese. :)

Gangs are very terrible in the eyes of many. But when people are racists towards other people you force us to join together as a "gang" to defend ourselves. What other way are we going to defend ourselves. If there's another way which i think there probably is just let all the gang members of the world know. If there was an end to discrimination and racism there would be no need of gangs. BUt there's always going to be competition among races. For example i am proud to say i am mexican. I will stand and die if nessecary for my race. I love my race but i do know there is good and bad in every race. But if i could i would never change my RACE. I AM PROUD TO BE A MEXICAN!!!!!

He must be rather inarticulate, or drunk, for I've fallen INTO many a trap, but never under. gandrilla, thanks for some intelligence. I'm not sure exactly how all spanish speaking (except for Spaniards) peoples of the Americas became the Hispanic race. Seems like Mexicans, Nicaraguans, Ecuadorians, Peruvians etc. are different ethnicity. The same would seem true of the various African natives, who speak hundreds of languages. The Sudanese (some Muslim, others Christian), Senegalese, Ethiopians, and Nigerians not only speak different languages, they have different physical characteristics. And the !Kung San (the ! denotes a click sound), also referred to as the Khoi San differ in lifestyle, language, and physicality from indigenous South Africans. Finally, the Kalahari Bushmen are as unique as any of the aforementioned cultures. And modern African-Americans are the descendants of West Africans specifically. Should they be classed with so many other unique groups? Grouping such ethnicities together seems akin to grouping Norwegians and Iragis together. Actually, they happen to both be Caucasian.

Every culture that is depicting theirselves over this and the cultures involved in this act are falling right under satan's trap. satan is the racist king, he hates whites, blacks, Latino, Asian, and Arabic. Why are people letting his dream of his favorite sin, which everyone falls for, vanity come true? satan has ruined everyone life because people go by what they see. If satan tells you to destroy the black culture, than he tells you to kill the latin culture, than the Arabics, later the Asians and last white people, then what's next the white culture kill each other the color of their eyes? the ones with blue eyes live and other whites with brown, green, or hazel eyes die next? To all individuals that suppose to represent their cultures who wear their ignorance as a badge of honor, racism is too, too, boring, the blood shed, murders, and rapes. I don't know why Hispanics are referred to being a race. It is not a race but an ethnic group made up of different races. The Mexicans who are in Southern California are of Indian descent but if you go to Cuba or places where there are Cubans, you'll see there are white Cubans with blonde hair and blue eyes as well as black cubans. same in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately the media always show Mexicans so everyone thinks that is what all Hispanics look like (Mexican indians), and since must people nowadays are morons, the believe it.

The media is noticing the gang violence in america, there not trying to target anyone, ive been to california and seen some of this violence myself. To say that white people are trying to turn the oppressive system against you is ignorant.
