Hispania was the name given by the Romans to the whole of the Iberian Peninsula (modern Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar and a very small southern part of France)..WICKEPEDIA.
THEREFORE I AM NOT HISPANIC I'M CHICANO..
LATINO IS THE TERM USED TO GROUP SPANISH SPEAKING PEOPLE BUT THE TERM LATINO INCLUDES PORTUGESE, ITALIAN AND IS BASICALLY THE SAME AS HISPANIC. WHICH IS WHY WE USE THE TERM LATIN AMERICA AND NOT SPANISH AMERICA TO INCLUDE PORTUGESE SPEAKING BRAZIL AND OTHER SMALLER NON SPANISH SPEAKING NATIONS.
