Ok, just a few points:

1. Bush made the same arguments to go to war with Iraq and he was flat wrong about that wasn't he? Maybe before we start bombing another country, we ought to find out for DAMN sure that this is what they are really trying to do. Proof is proof is proof. We lacked even the semblance of proof the first time, so how can we believe Bush again without it? His word is simply not good enough. Just imagine if we bombed Iran and it turns out that we were wrong again...

2. Suppose that bombing Iran is the right thing to do, Bush is extremely incompetent when it comes to warmaking. Iraq is the proof in the pudding. So after everything that's happened, what in the world makes anyone think that we can trust Bush with handling ANOTHER war?

3. We are using war as a For-Profit model. Companies such as Blackwater and DynCorp are consequently encouraged to aggravate tensions since continued war means continued job prospects. When conflict = profit, we will never be able to bring peace because we are constantly undermined by those who will benefit from war. Get rid of the mercinaries and we will almost certainly see hostilities calm down.

These 3 points are just pure common sense. If you really really think about them then you will realize that, even if our intentions are noble when it comes to warmaking with Iran, if we rush into this again like we did with Iraq, then reality is that we will fail again. If our cause was just, then we would have the whole world behind us and success would be assured. The mere fact that we don't ought to make you wonder what is the real purpose of this warmaking. Ignorance? Incompetence? Vindictiveness? Greed? Fanaticism? I honestly don't know. But I do know that a desire for peace is certainly not one of them.

Believe me if there was a way out for the US to get out of this mess they would have done that by now. Bush iand Cheney are insane. You (and they) compare Iran to 1938 Germany? I think your historical knowledge is seriously deficient, or your ability to project that information to our circumstances today. You might want to remember that it was Germany who carried war to other nations, who invaded Poland, and ultimately France, Russia and Belgium. We are currently engaged in two wars already, and it is WE who are the invaders. The world does not reverse the roles as you folks do here. If they make any such comparison at all, it is OUR nation they see as most akin to Germany in 1938. Rossd, you are ignorant, and to the extent Bush and Cheney track with your thinking, they are incredibly dangerous to us all. You might, finally, recall that Germany's adventurism concluded with a race to Berlin. We do this, we fight in our own streets before this is over. You people (including Bush-Cheney) are plain stupid.

Mr. Spudmck i like your comments and it is something to think about, but i do not agree with you Iran is a danger to world peace and they should be delt with sooner than later. I have just one question for you do you think that if Iran has a nulear weapons do you think they will launch a strike on Isreal?

In about a year from now will someone working in the Bush White House write a book titled "The Nukes of November" patterned on "The Guns of August" and "The Missiles of October"? Or will there be any publishing houses left to produce even a book the size of "My Pet Goat"?

Lets be realistic here. I know our administration is not ignorant of Geo-Politics. Cheney's early 90's comments about Iraq which have been posted on Youtube prove this. This is all about what is called the Petro-Dollar, it is the only thing that lets the U.S. operate a world empire. Iraq was moving out of selling oil in dollars and so is Iran. Attacking Iran will contain a full back-out of the Petro-Dollar by the other OPEC nations. The U.S. needs to take over Iran and Iraq so it can continue the Petro-Dollar's dominance. Iraq and Iran have been demonized in the U.S. press for so long that they can get away with this under the excuss of WMD whether it be real or not. Russia will not stand in the way becasue they are consolidating thier power with the five Caspian countries. It will however start a new cold war. The administration knows 9/11 was pulled off by a group of criminals and not a country it is only the top excuse for the policy of Petro-Dollar Hegemony but they will never admit to this. No soldier would risk his life for this and everyone in the administration knows it.

Iran suports terrorism and it will supply nuclear weapons to terrorists that is a fact. What will it take for us to take action? a nuclear weapon detonating in a major U.S. city what will you say then? . In 1938 a man came to power and the world did nothing and what was the result millions dead countries destroyed. Now is the time to strike. To let Iran know that they will be held accountable for thier actions. One last thing since 9/11 there has not been one terror act on U.S. soil people seem to forget that.

to all of you who are complaining about Bush and what he is doing what about Iran ?Iran is playing a game I hope or are they willing to make a nuke and use it,that is something I'am not willing to wait and find out.How quickly we forget about the stike that hit our country in 2001.Did anyone think that was posibel even as they were saying that it was going to happen as Iran is saying now.We have to start taking country's words as facts of what they are going to do .So if it is talks you want then let Iran loose the chip on there shoulder or have it nocked off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
