Zionism is the first and foremost terrorist organization in the world.

Good article. I don't know of anyone who honestly feels that the US should move forward with any hurried military action. Ahmadinejad is a wacko and extremely unpredictable and even worse, had Putin on his side!
Tomfortruth: please elaborate on your comments.... Much of your response is so vague and filled with stereotypical hate, that it makes no sense. The sentence with: "nuke em" does not agree at all with what the author has expressed. ???
Well, yeahbuddy, the import of my previous contribution was that the influential Zionist lobby has dictated American foreign policy in the Middle East for decades, not in America;s interest but in Israel's. Rather than impose a settlement on Israel/Palestine, the USA has supported the Zionists in their drive to fulfil Menachem Begin's vision of a Greater Israel, regardless of the cost in terms of death, destruction and misery. The USA has blocked any attempt by the UN to find a solution whilst condoning, indeed, supporting Israel's brutal and bloody oppression of the Palestinians. Now America is fighting a proxy war in Iraq on behalf of the Zionists who perceived Iraq's Scud missiles as a threat - only to Israel. Their target has shifted onto Iran (Syria next) as they lead gullible GW by the nose into another proxy confrontation.
The root cause of Islamic terrorism and most of the problems in the M.E.is the appalling injustice suffered by the Palestinians over the last 60 - yes 60- years! America, the self-professed bastion of freedom and democracy, is compliant in the brutal oppression of the Palestinians ..... and then, we get some comedian saying 'God bless America'!!
Rather than the total destruction of Iraq out of which will rise a fundamentalist Islamic Republic of Iraq, your troops along with the UN could have better served the World by imposing a State of Palestine whilst providing security for Israel. The latter is still an option.
How could we be credible?
Sorry for my English. I come from the old Europe, as Mr. Rumsfeld said!
Following on NBC, Oct. 28, 2007 (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21516968/). Can we still remember a congruent story like this? Covering same logic before the Iraq war? Have we forgotten it? Why politicians in power can spread the same lie for many times, and why we believe them again and again? Do we really want peace? Why then are we following them? If we are so confident that this is not true? Is something wrong with us? And our politicians know well, that with us something is wrong? That we need tension, need the war and the killing rituals? So they can manipulate us, at any time they need? Yes, nuclear weapons, and indeed all weapons are dangerous and show how violent we are and how many of us prefer violence as a way to dominate others! Even the American policy has fallen in love with this ritual of war several times. To dominate others or to bring them democracy? Interesting is that the same politicians and states in which these weapons are hoarded suddenly realize their dangers. Is something wrong here? While USA, Russia, France, Pakistan, India, Israel, and others developing and deploying actual nuclear weapons!!! Still nothing wrong here? If nuclear weapons are so dangerous for Mr. Bush, why he and the other nuclear powers don not give example and begin to destroy them? Why they are not willing to concentrate efforts to create a serious way for all countries to follow it? Do you think they want this? The reality says no, they do not want this! Why? What these weapons for a purpose have? Is it the deterrence? But what does this exactly mean, deterrence? Does this also mean extortion of all those who do not have these weapons? The law of the strongest? The barbarity, the modern barbarism? Yes, I would like to see that in Iran a democracy can prevail, in Iraq too. In Syria, but also in friendly countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the world! Yes, the regime in Iran has not deserved support. But which country has become its freedom as a gift (even USA itself)? Exactly so little by a dictation from the outside, through the USA or any other power! This is just a different type of domination, a hidden, under the pretext of democracy!

At last an american journalist is sensible. The point of view of the rest (nonamerican and bigger part) of the world is revealed. Of course the majority of american citizen would hate the article because it doesn't stick to the official propaganda.
At least there is one journalist in the US who sees the problem from a sensible point of view. In this article we are informed on the way the rest (nonamerican and bigger part) of the world considers US government's actions and remarks. Of course, the majority of the americans would hate this article for not sticking to the official line of propaganda.
Had a hang-up in my last posting so starting again:

Comment: Why don't you Americans wake up to the simple truth that your unconscionable support for Israel in its horrific oppression of the Palestinians is the root cause of so many of the problems in the World today? It is time that you threw off the yoke of the Zionist lobby which virtually dictates your foreign policy. You are already embroiled in a proxy war in Iraq foisted on you by the Israelis. Iraq's so-called threat of WMD against the West was laughable, ludicrous - the only country feeling threatened was Israel and that from Iraq's Scud missiles. Now Israel is worried by Iran's conventional missile development and has tasked its neocon lobby with inciting the gullible Bush administration to destroy Iran. If non-proliferation of nuclear weapons is the aim, then why tolerate Israel's huge nuclear arsenal? Of course, its enemies will wish to be similarly armed and who can blame them? To me, it is incomprehensible that the so-called bastion of freedom and democracy not only condones but actively supports Israel's daily atrocities and abuses. Little of the death and destruction and downright misery in the World would have occurred had the USA (with the UN) imposed a just solution on the region, years ago. Do you Americans have no compassion for the Palestinians in their appalling condition under the jackboot of the Nazi-style, expansionist, apartheid Israeli Zionist regime?
we worry and it makes some one else money....it has been that way for centuries...why change now? We are living the past over and over again.....all should read the history books and refamilariaze ourselves with what is inevitable...human nature....here we go again!!!!!
It's good to see the occasionally blogger who actually understands things. Well said. I would have liked an elaboration, but I suppose those who can understand ,already do, and those who do not ,likely cannot. The division is almost complete.
let the U.S pop a tactical nuke about 100 mile from Tehran in the desert so noone gets hurt. The we sit back and go on as normal and lets see what happens. I bet that will make some heads turn.
I am in the military(24yrs) I do not want to go to war, but I am a Soldier. Iran must not never ever at ant timein the near or far future get their hans on a nuke. SOONER OR LATER IT WILL END UP HERE ON OUR
SHORES.
OR maybe the U.S should close our boarders and take care of the U.S.
Or we tell the PEOPLE OF IRAN if your country uses a nuke on anybody we will turn their country in to a parking lot. ( pardon my spelling ,no spell check)hoooooa
He wants to drop a nuke on Iran, but claims he doesn't want war . . . . somebody has some serious post traumatic stress disorder. You can't want two opposites at the same time. I believe they diagnose people like that as "crazy"
sp_arabian - we obviously know what your bias and ulterior motive is in letting Iran get nuclear weapons. Are you stupid enough to believe that Iran won't attack Europe and America if we just let them go on with business as usual. We made that mistake already with your friend Hitler! Although I don't agree with nuking Iran, we need to do whatever it takes to disarm them. It's obvious from certain things in your post, and your name that your loyalty is not to America, which is why you have an ulterior motive behind your transparent comments. Insulting a soldier who has served our country for 24 years because of a few mispellings is unacceptable to Americans - not that you'd know that, or even care! You spell correctly, but are a weasel - so what does that prove?! If it weren't for fine American soldiers like roddog69, you wouldn't have the right to sit here and bad mouth America to benefit your real totalitarian homeland in the middle-east!
Hopefully a war can be avoided! But if war is inevitable, and we don' fight now, we'll have to fight later. And if we fight later, Iran will be stronger and have nuclear weapons - it will make for a much more costly (in lives) war! If a war were to break out, clearly you'd be going back home and fighting for Iran!
" . . . . with nuking Iran, we need to do whatever it takes to disarm them."
Err. . . .don't they need nukes first, before we can disarm them? Or, do you mean we should disarm them like we did Iraq and their nukes? Isn't that the reason the whole mess over there got started? If that's the case then I see your logic or lack thereof . . . Don't forget these tactics that are already heavily in use by the administration and Iraq is a clear example of this:
1) Create a problem or exaggerate an existing one that serves your purpose.
2) Present a made up solution
3) People will demand the solution to fix the problem (support is neccesary in a democracy)
The solution was the only thing that the government wanted in the first place.
See how this applies to Iraq?
1) the problem was Iraq had nukes and chemical weapons (lies)
2) War was presented by mr Bush as the only possible solution
3) people supported his war of terror . . . Iraq is taken over . . . .
Takeover of Iraq was the only thing Bush wanted in the first place. This already thoroughly established and cannot be argued against.
Now we know there must have been a real reason for the takeover, and there was. Saddam hated bush and desired to collapse the american economy which he likely would have because he had the power to do so. Just before Bush sent in his troops, the UN approved for Iraq to sell all its oil in euros (this in itself should be questioned) as opposed to USD. this would have likely collapsed the american dollar. Iran is now doing the same thing. War now is fought as much economically as it is militarily.
Think more . . . . . .
Rossd: If there have been "no terror acts" since 9/11/01, then please explain the hundreds of detentions and terrorism prosecutions since then. Either you're wrong, or you're wrong. Warrantless wiretaps, detentions without hearing or access to legal counsel, invasion, bellicose threats of additional invasions -- sounds like Adolf is back, to me. And I could NEVER confuse you with my mother, a lady of grace, intelligence and wisdom. But your comment was not surprising. You don't seem to have any trouble indicting people you know nothing about.
Please tell me when liberals speak of this matter they always neglect the fact that one of the parties of the wiretaps must be outside the country and one must also be a known or suspected terrorist.
I have to say that Mr. Hirsh's article is just another case of left wing propoganda vomited forth by an obviously biased media. Oh my goodness! The administration has called to task an Iranian government that is known to sponsor international terrorism. A government that has operatives in Iraq killing U.S. soldiers. How could they be so cavalier in their disregard for the wants and needs of the Iranian government? This is how the mainstream media paints the picture of the current tensions between the United States and Iran. They consitently portray the Bush administration as a group of war mongers while the Iranians are obviously a peaceful people who wish for nothing more than the ability to use nuclear power to meet the needs of their populace. Give me a break! If Iran is allowed to develope nuclear weapons millions will die. Can you actually think that Iran's radical muslim backed government will hesitate to use such weapons. Bring on the twelveth imam!
gb - Largo, Fl.
gb122, they know you are speaking the truth, but they just gotta have their fifteen minutes.
Pinkpanther, i'm reading you comments and just worder how old you are. It seem to me that you and other people do not have a clue about country poltics. Believe me if there was a way out for the US to get out of this mess they would have done that by now. But since you and other people come up with conclusions about how the US should handle there business, please don't try to start your own company, because your doom to fail. There are thing that happen behind close doors that you can't even image what there are trying to do to protect this country from idiots that are trying to kill the free people on this world, and not to forget the men and wowen that die for this country for the pass hundreds of years to give you the freedom to speak the un-patriotic crap that comes out you mouth. You are a coward and you make me sick reading your crap. Get the fact before you talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more less move to another country and send me a card on how your doing in about 5 years.
That's right. If you hate this country so much move.
DOES BUSH NEED CONGRESS TO LAUNCH-NO! DOES BUSH NEED PERMISSION TO LAUNCH-NO! CAN BUSH LAUNCH EVERY NUKE WE OWN IE: ENOUGH TO DESTROY THE PLANET 1 MILLION TIMES OVER-YES YES YES YES YES, AND PLANS TO BEFORE THE ELECTIONS!!! SO HE CAN STAY PRESIDENT FOREVER, IN OUR BUNKERS, WE AMERICANS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER, CAUSE IF WE THE PEOPLE ARE DEAD!!! WHO VOTES? NOW TELL ME OR YOURSELF HE CARES FOR THE PEOPLE!!
That is an absurd comment. I don't particularly care for Bush and Cheney, but I do still believe in our government ( or the ideology behind it). Do you really think that he will drop nukes on contries in the Middle East? I honestly believe that you will probably never see nukes used as anything more than for bullying. After what happend with us dropping the two on Japan in WWII, I honestly think that will always be enough reminder not to do it.
I wish I could believe you, buddy, but I do believe that as soon as Iran builds its first nuc they will begin to give them to all of their terrorist friends.
Lets be realistic here. I know our administration is not ignorant of Geo-Politics. Cheney's early 90's comments about Iraq which have been posted on Youtube prove this. This is all about what is called the Petro-Dollar, it is the only thing that lets the U.S. operate a world empire. Iraq was moving out of selling oil in dollars and so is Iran. Attacking Iran will contain a full back-out of the Petro-Dollar by the other OPEC nations. The U.S. needs to take over Iran and Iraq so it can continue the Petro-Dollar's dominance. Iraq and Iran have been demonized in the U.S. press for so long that they can get away with this under the excuss of WMD whether it be real or not. Russia will not stand in the way becasue they are consolidating thier power with the five Caspian countries. It will however start a new cold war. The administration knows 9/11 was pulled off by a group of criminals and not a country it is only the top excuse for the policy of Petro-Dollar Hegemony but they will never admit to this. No soldier would risk his life for this and everyone in the administration knows it.
And you're what, writing from Iran.
You sound like Cindy Shehan.
Bush has already ailenated most of the civilized world, already, so, why not wipe Iran off the face of the earth.
Yea, don't wait for the major news outlets to be supportive of the country, or this administration. That would go against all they hold true.
Now that is a sound piece of reasoning.
Dear MR Bush, while you think you have the answer you have never known the question. please sir listen to the peopl.. as you so often like to use others people quote here is on for you "A house divided will not stand" your costant belief that anyone that doesnthave the same faith as you is wrong. Again read the quote it not just our house its a world house. i might have to subscribe to the beleif that its not God i am worried about it his follwers that scar me.
You know, I've never heard the President make that claim.
To bizb4war. religion is already in the mix or are you so uniformed as to not understand that the president of Iran is striving to bring about WWIII to usher in the twelfth IMAM. I'm not sure whether you believe in God or not, but I do know that our only chance at survival is to stay strong in the faith of Jesus Christ. By the way, read Ezekiel in the Bible if you really want to know what all the hoopla in the Middle East is about.
You know bizb4war will not do that., and wouldn't believe it if they did read it. Because if they had read it and believed it they would not post such nonsense.
Why is it America's job to bring peace to the Middle East? If we had a national solar power program, it wouldn't matter. Israel does a fine job of defending itself. Let them work things out.
You are right, we probably shoud play the "What If" game. What if we had ignored Iraq's invasion of Kuwait? Saudia Arabia was certainly no match for Iraq either. Chances are that Iran, having just fought Iraq for eight years would not have intervened. Jordan and Syria, well they are not military giants. So what do you think would have happened? Sure if the Clinton/Gore team had lived up to their promises from their first campaign to put this country on course for energy self-sufficiency things would be different. But they were sworn in I guess they did not have time to remember the things they said that were actually good for the country.
Question - have any of you here that favor war (whether with Iran, Iraq, or Austrailia) ever participated in a war or conflict of any kind?
War is never right. Just sometimes necessary for self-preservation.
Bush is a war criminal. What right do we have to tell another country they can not produce nuclear energy or weapons when we were the first to produce nuclear energry and are to date the only country that has used nuclear weapons?
I'm sick of Bush getting us into wars that the American people don't want. Bush has been a calamity on this world since he was elected to office. I guess you reap what you sow. Which ever democrat is elected President next has the biggest mess to clean up after this disgrace of a President and man has done his very best to ruin our country, our world, and our standing with all foreign countries. What a disgrace.
Well, you know we did not start that war and to invade the island of Japan would have cost far too many American lives. We dropped leaflets over both cities telling them when the attack would come. They had ample time to flee those cities. Their was no warning on 9/11.
