Comment: I love our Country, The consitution and principles that ran it. What happened to the philosophy that we had an obligation to operate above board, to be an example to the rest of the civilized world? I believe it's a shame the C.I.A. seems to be running our foreign policy, with domestic and international laws ignored. I'm beginning to think our national motto should be changed to "it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission".
It doesn't matter that other nations or groups break the laws. That's what used to differentiate us from them. When we break the law, we bring ourselves down to their level, which some may say is necessary to counter their efforts, but have all options been ignored?

Comment: O.K. I'm extremely confused. First I'm reading about this case on one of the major media outlets in America. Second I've searched all over the internet and still can't find a picture of these C.I.A agents.Lots of stories pretty much stating what this story states but nothing really different about this story from other countries or as some state better coverage of what America does in the world. Also wasn't this guy a jihadist. Still confused about what the big deal is. When is there going to be the story of Al-Qeada breaking the law or any conventions. I pretty sure they have. Al-jezzara having exclusives of Al-qeada videos and audios sounds funny to me. About the only accurate statement was the military industrail complex. When are people going to worry about that . Oh and not just here in Goddless America but from other countries to. In the middle east the largest providers of wepons is the Russia followed by Iran then France. GEE. I should also note that usually those are the weapons of Goddless America's enemies. Also that torture denial video is useless of
course we don't torture Syria and Egypt do. DUH. Lets see what else if some calls for a jihad (holy war) on some one I think that means you are at war. Isn't that what Abdul Omar was doing?

Comment: One more reason to help Ron Paul win the Republican primaries, the only one with the courage to even address the issue head on in the debates with a voting record to back it up.

Comment: The media needs to start doing their job. Tell us what the military industrial complex has been developing for the past 60 years that scared Eisenhower! If they break the law don't hide behind the law to cover up your own involvement in helping them hide the most powerful and unusual weapon ever invented. You know what I'm talking about. This is how the world ends, not with a bang but a wimper!

Comment: The media can't do it's "job" when they'll be immediately arrested, and their notes will be confiscated. Look up the information on the Libby case. The journalists involved with that case were subpoenaed, as well as the news organizations they worked for. It's rather hard for journalists to stay out of jail, and keep their job if they're exposing government secrets. Generally, the only way for journalists to get the governmental secrets is to promise anonymousness. It's hard for the journalists to keep that promise with the threat of jail used towards them. It's just easier for the journalists, and for the news organizations to stay out.

Although we'd love if the media wasn't run by the government, and we could know exactly what the government was up to... It'd probably make everything a bit smoother if they weren't keeping all sorts of stuff from the public.

Comment: It's rather hard for the media to do their "job", when they know that the government will immediately try to arrest them, or subpoena them for releasing that kind of information. Look up information on the Libby case. The journalists that wrote articles on Libby were arrested, and were put in jail, just for not giving up the anonymesness. That's how journalists get their information though, they promise the anonymesness. Even the news organizations that these journalists work for can be brought to court, and fined thousands of dollars for not forcing their journalists to give up the information, and how they obtained it. It's a sick world, where the government over-sees and runs everything, but it seems that there's not much we, as the public, can do about it.

Comment: So the wicked evil USSR is gone only to be replaced by the wicked evil USA adopting the same illegal inhumane practices as the Stalinist KGB used to sow fear in order to maintain a dictatorship that prohibited any oversight. How can we allow this? Are we to become the New Soviets to protect us from "turrorists?" We are on a slippery slope thanks to the Bush mafia. We will all pay a price for the reckless path this administarion has put us on. al-Qaida is our greatest enemy? Hardly. The Bush Administration is.

Comment: Simple. How many Americans get their news from sources outside of our borders? What we don't know can't hurt our government.

Comment: Let me get this straight. The identities of many CIA agents involved in a Kidnapping in Italy, and reams of collateral information about them, are published by the Italian media and countless bloggers -- presumably online and available to anyone with a computer and rudimentary search engine talents -- but that same information can't be re-published by an American news medium?

My question = why? The horse has left the barn. What possible interest is served by pretending it's still within?

Isn't it ironic: Xerox is hoping it can profit by teaching companies how to reduce their printing.
