the 17th CPC National Congress, really making no progress ?as a mainland student, i feel the development of China these year, though it has some problem. we are still consummating our sociaty. we need time, and i believe china will become better in a short of time.

China has its own problem (determined by the history and something else), but we can try to deal with them.

------ Appealing on Behalf of 200 Victims of False Medicine
Hualian Pharmaceutical Factory of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group, China is a big state-owned enterprise. Since April 2007, its product methotrexate injecta with lot numbers of 070403A, 070403B, 070405B, 070502B has been accidentally mixed with traces of vincristine sulfate and become rank poison. Consequently, more than 200 patients of leukemia and other malign tumour who had been intrathecally injected the methotrexate injecta had a bad reaction one after the other. Take the victims in Beijing as an example, most of the 45 victims from Beijing People???s Hospital (11 victims), Xiehe Hospital (10 victims), China-Japan Friendship Hospital (6 victims), Daopei Hospital (8 victims), 307 Hospital of the People???s Liberation Army (10 victims) have been left lower extrimity paralysed due to lack of effective treatment without any similar cases referred to in China or even in the whole world. Influenced by the pathological changes of nerve root, the victims who should have but haven???t received hematopoietic stem cell transplant cannot be cured as expected, and those who have are likely to be attacked again. According to the statistics, up to now, the death number in Shanghai is 1, Guangxi 1, and the number of victims on the verge of death is increasing gradually.
The top leaders of China???s State Council have had this accident investigated and Shanghai city government office together with the department concerned have dealt with it actively. But during and after the 17th CPC National Congress, they are making no progress at all. The victims can???t afford to wait too long. It is hoped that the government and Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group will try their best to work out effective treatment and acceptable compensation for these poor souls.
