I do not concur with the previous comment as my daughter is allergic to peanuts and she is not raised in a germ o phobic home far from it. She was not born by c section she was a vaginal birth and still is allergic. It makes me sad that people like you think it is either the parents fault or the childs it is neither obviously you did not read the entire article it said more than once that it is a mystery that there are still many many unknowns as to why. My daughter was diagnosed at six months of age after having a peanut butter cookie and it is not her fault her father's fault or mine it happens more commonly now. It has nothing to do with being germa phobic nothing at all. I hope you choose to educate yourself more on the subject so that in the future you are able to make a more educated comment. My daughter lives a normal life except hey she can't have candy or anything with peanuts so other than that she does rodeo and gets plenty dirty while NOT eating peanuts.
