This is more of american ego than anthing else. thousands of people including marines have been killed just because Mr Bush wanted to satisfy his cravings...there are always decent ways to handle situations, like how they did in north korea, america adopted completely differnt policy to handle north korea and forcing sactions does not bring anything else than misery to poor citizens of that country....bush admistration has only one agenda ..to sit in oil rich nations and he would like to do it putiing all ameraicans on stake....

Many have a phylosophy that if it is not broke don't fix it. The problem with that is if you don't maintain your situation it can spiral downward much more quickly than you can fix. Leave them alone and just let them be. A few years later when they have an arsonel of nuclear weapons, there will be no way to stop them because they will have NUKES. If there happens to be a nuclear holocaust in the Middle East, will you question the Bush Administration for not acting when we had a chance to PREVENT nuclear proliferation. Wake UP people!!! The people that are in power in Iran also happen to be hardline MILITARY leadership. How easy it is to turn a blind eye rather than stare the truth face to face for what it is. You have the RIGHT to question the administration here in the FREE country that we live in, I can't say the same if you challenge the administration in Iran if you LIVE in IRAN.

    Dear Sir,

Is America going to bomb and kill innocent people using the fallacious excuse to change the regime in Iran.? When American administration will accept to become a team player and contribute as it is required by the UN Chart: Make peace MAKE PEACE and not WAR? No lessons learned from the Iraqi disaster? I hope Ameriacan People will stop this dangerous leaders to continue gambling with people lives both american and innocents who never came and bother America.

Thanks to the Media to contribute and not diffuse biased articles.

There ia no second thought that USA is a super power but that does imposes more responsiblities on USA to keep peace and stablity in the particular reigion and the world. Just pushing resolutions and sanctions shall never produce any positive results. USA wants PEACE and so is everyone in the world want PEACE. I pray and hope that the USA people will ask their Leaders to act with more responsiblities.

In 1996 the neoconservatives promised then Israeli prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that the US would find a pretext to bomb Iraq, Syria nad Iran. And they are determined to keep their word. Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), told CNN Sunday that he had no evidence Iran was building nuclear weapons and accused US leaders of adding "fuel to the fire" with their warlike rhetoric.

ItIt is unfortunate that the folks who vehemently anti American and think that America is the source of the problems in the world, forget the atrocities that are being committed by many lawless and savage countries around the world. Some who have commented here and hate Mr. President Bush turn a blind eye to the suffering of ordinary citizens in these mentioned countries. They are being raped, murdered, dismembered and buried alive in the years before Mr. Bush came to be the president. In country after country, outside of Europe, USA, and Australia, millions are being eliminated savagely by the thugs who rule by the force of the guns. America is the only shinning armor that can and should protect people. We have the means; capacity, courage and financial attribute to take care and eliminate these bloodsuckers form this world and bring some resemblance of Law and Order to this wild world. I see Mr. Bush as a sheriff in the movie High Noon. He did not ask for it ...he was just trusted into this by the action of few terrorists on 9-11, and by golly, he is doing a great job. I just that he don't slow down and give up easily in the face of the cowards who currently run the house and the senate.... men in panty hoses! 10 years from now after Iran is free from chokehold of the cutthroat mullahs, there will be streets named after Mr. Bush. You want to see a free people, go to Iraq and look around ...just don't rely on Communist New Network (CNN), News of Bill Clinton (NBC), All Boring Channel (ABC), Corrupt Bull Sh... (CBS) and the Partly Bi-Sexual (PBS) Networks. Listen to the folks who live there. Yes, there are car bombing there everyday; Yes there are kidnapping; Yes there are shortages ...But this is after a massive change of government and it takes years to settle down and return to the seen which you may see in countries such as Germany. After World War II in Germany, there were bands of terrorists and bombers (similar to the gangs and terrorists in Iraq) who were active in post war Germany (read your history books and learn something from history). It took Special Forces of the United States a few years to eliminate (and I mean eliminate, not capture and bring them to a fun place like the jail at Gismo). Look at the Germany now ...and it will be the same in Iraq one day. We need to do the same thing in Iran and Syria. We can't just stand by and let these thugs rule this decade or this century. Those who have commented here badly about USA, just think if there was no USA in this world. Just sit down and think what if would look like. So shame on you for living freely under our free system, a system that was secured and protected by our brave men and women of our armed forces, and then turn around and say trash about our beloved USA. May God bless USA and may God give continuing courage and perseverance to our president Mr. Bush. Keep fighting the right fight.

How come in the decade before Bush the United States never engaged in anything even resembling a war except for some peace keeping misssions in Somalia and Haiti and the assistance to Nato in the Serbian War where no Americans died in combat. Now we get Bush and suddenly we have started two wars for reasons unknown to any thinking person, lost them for the obvious reason that they should never have been started, have threatened to go to war with North Korea, Syria, Iran and probably a few others we don't know about, have generally turned our friends into enemies, have given our enemies a good laugh at our diplomatic inability, have made heros out of people who before Bush were merely minor annoyances and generally turned the world's antipathy towards the United States into outright hatred. Is it really possible that one man could have been so incompetent, so stupid, so unsuccessful, so disasterous to a huge nation as to have caused all this? Apparently yes; because that is the situation we are faced with today and we seem unable to tone down our belligerance and unpleasentness even in the light of having lost two wars and demonstrated the complete ineffectiveness of our vaunted military power.

Hopefully we shall last long enough as a nation to see George W. Bush behind us and another President with more ability starting the process of recovery. But Bush does have the power to destroy America in his hand for some time to come; an invasion of Iran, excused by the utterly fallacious rational of heading off the danger of a nuclear Iran, would spell doom to the United States. We cannot fight and lose three wars within one decade and our treasury cannot stand the expense of yet another military raid on our resources on top of their already almost 700 billion dollar theft from the nation.

Amazing isn't it. One throughly incompetent man, one population unwilling to stop his stupidies, one unfettered and obscenely expensive military, one utterly impotent Congress and the greatest nation the earth has ever know is in dange of collapse. "Is a puzzlement."

Way you think is not my way - (sgtdjusmc)
I do not agree with this way solving issues in our world and I do not agree too with this aggressive and very unkindly way of discussion (see comment sgtdjusmc 10/29/2007 1:19:34 AM). And what I deeply wish for America is to live in peace with all other countries. I cried too much and often loudly and with much tears for all Americans and all others have been died and have been injured on 9/11 and now for Iraqis (also under Sadam) and unfortunately soon in Iran. But if this was the way as security contractor in Iraq, so I do not need to see Al Jazeera or CNN. I could now imagine how it was! I never saw on my life Al Jazeera and I saw often CNN and as you may be able to see I read Newsweek. Do you feel well now? Ignoring international laws leads our world to barbarism again. But I guess that you see it like a successful method accusing people does not share the same idea with you. Do you know which kind of Political and social systems are practicing this way of thinking?
Again this can not be credible at all.
P.S.: Mr. Bush is your president! And you may will see one day how history will describe him!

    Masherif,

First, it is President Bush and not mister. You talk about legalities, international law is a joke. No where in our Constitution does it say we have to listen to others when we feel threatened. You talk about the Iraq war and Blackwater. However, I doubt you have been to Iraq to witness what you so vehemently disagree with. I was a security contractor in Iraq and I can say this: don't believe everything you read in the press. I know you would rather the United States stay out of the middle east. Let Saddam keep filling the mass graves. Have you seen them? I have and its heart breaking when you see bullet holes in little kids skulls. You dont get to see that on CNN do you Masherif? You also talk about sanctions. We reserve the right to trade with whoever we like. That is what sanctions means you ignorant fool! I realize that terrorists to you are freedom fighters but the difference is those idiots judge success by the amount of innocent civilians they can kill. We go after high valued terrorists and never intend to kill civilians. Maybe you should buy some sfp 50 since the sun has obviously cooked your brain and tad. Oh, and lay off the Al Jazeera!

    To be credible!
???Please don???t shorten this comment, otherwise don???t publish it. Thanks! ???
Sorry for my English, I come from the old Europe!
Wouldn???t you want return the country of Iraq to its original owners with democracy and peace (see comments)? And now, the non-stop killing, the destruction of infrastructures from the first moment of the war, the millions of displaced persons, the fear everywhere, black water, and so on...
About what are we talking here, about an imposed war from Iran or about a planned attack, what you call (the run-up to the invasion)? I'm sorry, you have the UN in your country and it's really a big disappointment for me because it seems to me that you don't recognize or you may don???t want to know any more what does this mean! To attack another country! It???s illegal and it???s a crime and it???s criminal. Why shall we Thank Mr. Bush for this?
We all know what Hitler did, if we just look only at the 2nd World War! By the international law nothing else than this like in Iraq and soon in Iran (To be clear, Hitler added a huge terrorism against Jews and others during this war!). And we think we now believe to know this, what he did, attacking other countries! He was military power full and America today is military power full too. Do you think the logic has been ever changed?

Some of Members (see Member Comments) may not be able to seriously feel what does this mean for a human to live under the war, bombing, sanctions and many other terrible and disdaining things for a Human Being. But war attack is not playing football! Attacking others is categorically a miss respect themselves, is a miss respect of our nature and of freedom too!
I don't believe at all on such a Government like this in Iran and especially any religious one like this one from Mr. Bush. But is this a reason enough to start killing again like now on Iraq? Do you really believe on freedom, on freedom loving people and our small planet (see comments)? And for all of them you wish an attack, bombing and killing? How could we call this a freedom? How by all the logic?
I wish a world without nuclear weapons and without any weapons! Iran shouldn???t have the bomb and America and other countries have to give the example, to be Credible!
