This diagnosis is definitely not taken seriously enough, and if you have nevered suffered the emotional triggers, and never suffered the pain and anxiety, you have no idea what a battle it is, and it isn't something you can easily fix like a cut or a blister, it is something that you can't control, and the worst part about it, is that once you do go for help, you are stigmatized for life as being the one they point the finger at as the one with the problem, so many people never speak up and reach out.
