Yes,I find that people who lie about their age, even tho' it may seem trivial, normally find it easier to lie about other things.I am dead against it. But myspace.com has grown larger than Tom Anderson, and I find that it serves my needs.I am over 50,my children got me involved, and they have added me onto other networks as well, but I have more friends on myspace and I am able to choose who can be a friend on my network. I tend to stear away from people who make their profiles 'private',I have nothing to hide or to be ashamed off.

Ok so this article means that I shouldnt be driving a car, using a phone, living in a house, wearing clothes, eating food..etc.. because uh now let me get this right, someone older than me invented it and I wont think it cool anymore. Wow they must think were stupid.

If a person chooses to lie about their age, well I am against that.It tells me that if you lie about the little things, how easy it becomes to lie about other things. You are not trustworthy,FULLSTOP. But myspace has grown larger than Tom Anderson, you will find that he normally ends up on the bottom of the 'friends list'.I am over 50,and I find that myspace fills my needs,I have made a number of friends, and I have nothing to hide,so I will continue to be on myspace till I find that it doesn't work for me. By the way,I am register on other networks because my children prompt me,but they do not give me the freedom that I find on myspace.com.

Yes, age is just a number. People should really judge a man for his character and contribution to society, not how old he is. I am 33 years old, and it is amazing that I get carded every time I buy alcohol and have women who are in high school flirt with me all the time. I look much younger than my age because I take care of my health. But what has been my experience on myspace.com? There are very few friends I have made on myspace.com as a result of my age. It is truly amazing how shallow our society has become when a man is judged based solely on his age!

Seriously, who cares how old Tom is? He is still the creator of one of the most popular and most used websites in the world.

why does it matter how old he is no one really pays attention to him amyway.

I like Myspace no matter what. I have fun no matter who is running the show. No biggy as far as I am concerned.

It does not change the way that I feel about Myspace. I still have fun no matter who is running it.

You need to re-check your math buddy. If he was born November 1970 then he was born 1 month before me, and I assure you I am turning 37 this year, not 38!

Oh yeah, and while I initially deleted Tom as a friend with the startup of my MySpace page, I think I'll go back and add him now. That is, if he'll have me. Of course, I lied about my age, too!! ;0)

ok...great...so several of you figured out that there was an error of one year made...but what about the article?...do you have anything relevant to say about that? the point is...what matters when determining age? is it the number of years we have been on earth....or how we are able to relate to people? is it what we perceive or want it to be, or is it reality? who says a "dad" can't be hip? who says ALL 27-32 year olds are "cool"? tom and his partners obviously tapped into something that was wanted, and he was "old" enough to have enough business sense to make it work. i personally think we should stop looking at random arbitrary "age" factors and look at each individual for what they are....unique...and go from there....but, hey, i have always been a dreamer.....

Who cares how old he said he was? Maybe it was just a business decision, and a good one at that. Or perhaps he better identifies with his mental vs. chronological age. If ours was not an age segregated society, it wouldn't matter anyway. Age is a bogus social construct that tells you who can and cannot be friends with, marry, etc. Think about it. There is WAY too much emphasis here.

Who cares how old he is. The man made his mark by developing a product people wanted. His age doesn't matter.

Is there a shortage of editors/proofreaders/factcheckers these days? I've noticed a proliferation of typos, misstatements, and outright erroneous "facts" in both print and electronic media reports over the past couple of years.

If someone was born on Nov. 8, 1970, they will be 37 next week. I've bee noticing more and more incorrectly spelled words and just plain wrong facts in both the print and electronic media lately. Is there a shortage of editors/fact checkers?
